To the RITA Chairman/CEO and Board Members

Now is the time to be completely transparent.  If the industry stakeholders are to support RITA and the decisions made by the Board then now is the time to be transparent.

You have the technology and it won't cost you anything.  Switch from broadcasting the American Quarter Horse racing on Trackside and their non-existent tote pools and the Fixed Odds losses (let's face it your bookies know nothing about Quarter Horse racing) and BROADCAST TODAY'S BOARD MEETING.

Let the stakeholders, whose support you need, hear what the state of the racing nation is WITHOUT the media manager syrup nor the vested interest of a few "in the know" people.

Broadcast the meeting on Trackside.

When you look at what has been pretty much a model of transparency by the government on Covid-19 and compare it really is a shocker. That's whether or not you agree with the government decisions and reporting etc. Everyone knows what is going on and there are high approval ratings.

You'd think they would learn something at RITA from that and maybe take a leaf out of that book.

You know,  that is the defining culture at both our racing guiding bodies;  the seeming lack of ability, or desire, to look at ANY other model other than the one employed.

Well not only did they not broadcast it there is a deathly silence as to any outcomes other than an innocuous release from RITA which doesn't really say anything, certainly nil about the funding situation.

Funding you say? It sounds like the industry are asking for a 'loan' from the govt...why would you loan money to an industry that has wasted hundreds of millions in the past few years..?

Oh yes, this is the govt that just gave ANOTHER HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS to motel owners in NZ to house the ' homeless'...read it and weap.  Another $100 million. On top of the millions and millions already handed over. Just who are these 'homeless'..how do you qualify cos I think I'd like to be in on this absolute rort.
