One stable produces first five home!!!

Watched race 4 tonight at Addington,  the 2 year old non winners race.

What a great and surprising result that the first five home were from the Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen stable!

This is a great result for this stable, and maybe this will continue in the future??

The other horses not from this stable finished a long way back from the placegetters, which could be a wee bit ominous, do you think?

No one can deny the All Stars are good but I think a lot of the small punters probably dont bother punting, might be ok for the big punters to pile on some cash.

The NZ TAB dont seem to be taking big bets as such now.

$2k at $2 seems to be a big bet, and they even mention $100 and $200 bets at next to nothing

Surefire way of losing money if punters are backing the AllStar shorties as they play around quite a bit with who wins, and they are too short anyway.

The other day at addington there were 10 thousand and 5 thousand bets often,I often wonder if they just make it up to sound good

They often go on about problem gambling, would it be fair to say that those who bet 10 or 20 thousand have a problem.i know everybody is different and have different amounts of money but spending thousands is still a lot to risk and even if they win how long before they are restricted.

And yet the tote has some paying a whole 1 dollar for a place.some might just bet for the hell of it.

Apparently someone put $25k on the Allstars runner in the last at $1.22!

Yes it won, and whoever it was, knew it would  win,

This is the problem and always has been with the NZ TAB!!!!

How on earth is it allowed and ethical that someone can offload $25k and another  punter can get on less than $100?????????????????

NZ TAB are a very unethical business, and deserve to get a hiding!!!!

I am sure that they would be a well known losing punter, that is how They are able to get $25k on.

Be a successful punter and we will not let you bet anything worthwhile!

We also use the Anti Money Laundering Act so that se have total control over punters!

They advertise on Trackside that they are concerned about punters betting habits and yet they allow certain punters on for $25k!!!

Others who havent got problems are allowed next to nothing on with them!.

i am sure they do know who the punter is, maybe it is a previously restricted punter who has had her restrictions reviewed

and the TAB see taking that size bet on a 1.22 shot as an acceptable risk for them to take

how much did the redwood ripper try get on before they said that is enough ?

Seems it is  lot easier to get on for larger amounts near start time when there is a bit of liquidity in the market. No hope trying to get on at opening for anything more than $100 unless it is a shorty.

If you are a restricted punter, there is no hope in hell of getting a lot on even close to race start.

The fact that you have to identify yourself now is even more restricting obviously.

It is blatantly ridiculous when the TAB want to drive turnover up, and het all they are doing is restricting turnover By not accepting bets.

The NZ TAB is a monopoly in NZ and it is  illegal for anyone to run a book outside of the NZ TAB!
