I read the Stewards report for Addington friday night, I presume the report is correct before being released .  Race 3 winner not swabbed, this was a premier race for the night. I believe that all winners should be swabbed to uphold the integrity of the industry, also the same horse lost a leg bandage  50 meters from the post, normally this would result in a fine or a least a warning but that never happened. I have spoken to a few trainers who are concerned that R I U are not consistent their policing of the rules.

The race 8 winner, Aqua Sancta was also not swabbed by the look of It as well!

The race was penalty free!

Interesting!

The RIU have proven time & time again, it's not what rule has been breached, it's who has breached it.

classic Friday night one stable wins 3 races and only one of there winning horses swabbed . plus win main race of the night and second placed horse gets swabbed wtf  is going on??

It's presumably called "random testing"!  The rationale being if you don't know who is going to be tested you are less likely to be tested.  I guess HRNZ are trying to save money.

It's a farce but I guess the part time CEO will get some new instructions when on the Hutt Golf course next time.
