Guest CrossCodes
This talented mate really needs a change to a beach based trainer IMO. Was very disappointing again tonight and again looked to be running very sore with a very awkward gait up the home straight again. I feel she is very talented but the best is not able to be extracted where she is placed at the moment, a Regan Todd or Robert Dunn or the like would turn her around I’m sure of it. Just my opinion. Has paced rough in all races and trials so far. To be fair does not appear that brave at the moment, and why it was so short is hard to fathom. Last start it didnt have enough toe to get to the front and stopped bad. Won a couple of trials but did not go that quick and the second one, the one in front galloped, and would have won, I would say most horses would improve if they were being trained on the beach. Not backable at the moment and is in the same mould as Red Envy. Over promises through its trials and under delivers on race day at short odds. Their time will come in my opinion but not at the moment.
Happy Sunrise
And Soviet Star seems to have a following but not sure if that is well placed either so early on in its career.
Brodie
Dark Horse was pretty short tonight, which was pretty surprising! Yes it won well down south last start, but reality is that the trotters down in Southland are a long way short of Canterbury horses.

The runner-up stuck on bravely though but the winner always had him covered.

Guest CrossCodes
Well I certainly was wrong about the Dunn’s improving this horse, went worse than ever today and once again paced awful and looked very sore, the poor horse looks buggered!
