Richie
A few I like for Waikouaiti cup day R4 #2 Art Cracker 3/1.40 Great draw and a positive driver should be able to lead up and be very hard to beat. R5 #7 Major Dolmio 2.50/1.30 Money is on this very well bred Art Major 3yo,hasnt been seen.out lately but trials looked promising last year R7 #4 Zaccy Mach 5.50/2.10 Good horse from top stable with a good draw, should get a soft trip and be too good R11 Girls get Loose 9.50/3.10 If she puts her best foot forward can win this but always holding your breath with her. R12 Ultimate Sassenach 4.60/1.90 is drawn to lead all the way.Has had a nice buildup and expected to go.close Good luck and happy punting
Ludwig
As usual, the races come to town, the weather packs up. And now, thanks to some clots in Auckland who couldn't follow Covid rules, Oamaru gets restrictions on who can attend it's race meeting. Thanks Cindy.

Gee complaining about rain in Oamaru in February, don't,having said that seems when Waikouiti race it seems to attract rain, remember 2 or 3 years back ? I think North Otago are hosting a Hawke cup Cricket match too, I see their star players been called up for the Otago team, could the rain be a secret weapon or is it all over already, does anybody know? I think I read where Hawkes Bay beat them but I'm not sure where. We had big plans for Mid Canterbury this year but rain delays meant we had to do some silly declarations that never came off to try to get the wins .Unfortunately weather generally plays a big part in this comp
