Karrotsisback
Most of you go to Level 2. Nice. Whilst Karrots will remain in Level 4 ouch. BUT what Karrots shall endeavour to do, is watch every Addington horses last few starts once fields are out. Great time to learn this Addington FORM. Then hopefully KARROTS to become the NEW Brods place punter. And that be my new Lockdown story, that would be magic 😉 Thanks again Poster M for your PM @Michael. Will try to think of a topic that hopefully you join in, in next few days 😄, maybe With A Dream too, maybe even Taupiri he has gone MIA. Be great to hear what the latest is with that Wigg story Taupiri.

He had no intention of ever trying and knew what he was doing. Brendon does get better results than brother Hayden. Hayden Barnes being the driver in the last race today at Albion on KATACHA MAN that you weren't happy with. $9.50 third fav here. I spent a lot of money, yet only have come out just ahead. Hardly worthwhile given the time involved. Well there was super racing in July at Albion Park Mr Galah , with the kiwi visitors winning the Group 1's. You are leaving ONE DAY too early . Tuesday sees three (3) new super u-beaut kiwis turned up in town !!!!! After only 4 out 5 for Karrots last week I'll give you a Pick '5' swansong to enjoy , as you give up on Albion lol...... Lets take the 2 kiwis Grant Dixon won with last week , along with the three NEW KIWI's !!! $350-1 Sportsbet HelloJoeleneJoelene R1, Sugarinspice R2, AwholeLottaRosie R4, Hector R6, and AltaSensation R8 seems that Hector, SugarinSpice and Alta Sensation have abandoned your shores as well. ?????? Queensland virtually another NZ state now for harness racing, so you should hang around. !!! good luck if you take the Bet !!
the galah
Heck your right about which barnes it was gammalite. And to think I had named H barnes as dishonest a month ago and said on this site i would never waste money on him again. Yet today i did just that. How stupid is that. I looked him up a month or so ago and saw he had 3 times been suspended for failing to drive to obtain the best possible place, and also saw his brother brendon had been put out at one point for cocaine use. I watched Hayden barnes a couple of weeks ago restrain a horse so hard in the parked position it eventually choked down. Funnily enough that day his brother was following him and appeared to have no idea what his brother was up to. And that was in a sprint race. That took some doing. I've actually been taking particular notice of how The barnes drive, and bizarre is how i would describe hayden and his fathers driving sometimes.

I still find it hard to bag any drivers. i know how hard it is. Hard for horses too. You were disappointed with Spankem form. It's just so fast and competitive. wanted to tell you a horse that I admire greatly with 46 wins from 89 starts. hasn't been able to Win this season (this year) COLT THIRTY ONE , 9 starts this year , 0 wins. That is how hard it has got to win now. Spankem and the Colt are whizzing around in 1.52 .all the time. so quick so just so hard to win. They're beauties though !!

I can understand why some don't think drivers should be criticised, and i hardly ever do that. Do i sometimes comment on particular drives, yes i do,and why shouldn't i is my my thinking. Its nothing personal, discussing one off drives is not about the person, but about the drive. Besides,we all look at things from how we would react, and personally i wouldn't worry at all about criticism of a bad drive if it was one i had done. As to the the queensland criticism. I think its justified.Others can form their own opinions. I mistakenly thought yesterday i was backing one of your countries best drivers in nathan dawson, but the stable had 2 in it and put him on the outsider who ran accordingly after drawing alongside. Why put the best driver on the horse with no chance. Doesn't make sense to me,but thats what they did.I've already discussed the way katacha man was driven which i think raises some integrity or competence questions. But can i suggest you watch the fathers drives yesterday. On joey lincoln in race 5,did he give it any chance of winning by not improving between the 400m and 180m.Sure he most likely wouldn't have won anyway, but did he give it a fair oppurtunity to win. And the horse Bondi shake. It was paying $4,yet wasn't his drive just a follow them round drive.Again, did he give the horse a fair chance in how he drove between the 400m and 200m. And what was he doing when he did pull out.And if you are happy with those drives,go watch bondi shake the previous week at redcliffe. He steered it into every dead end he could over the last lap. I've previously highlighted other questionable drives from them.It seems a regular thing. I have gone further than i would for a nz driver as i believe nz drivers are honest. I don't feel the same about all aussie drivers.;So call it bagging a driver if you see it that way. i don't view it like that.

If you say certain drivers aren't trying (A very serious accusation) that is definitely 'bagging the driver, No Matter what way you look at it. you have even began 'Generallizing' over several races. Nathan Dawson drives New kiwi horse HECTOR today in R6 , He has drawn the 7 alley. Chances of winning are slim from there !! He will have to drive a brilliant race to win. might fall short but i'll say in advance, he'll be honest as any kiwi driver , and do his best. p.s I'm still recovering from all the quiet drives race 12 Addington the other night lol.............) tongue in cheek. Yes your definition would be bagging a driver,my definition is highlighting integrity issues. I notice you haven't given a reply to specific races i referred you too.I assume that is because what i have said is accurate. My philosophy is simple. Everyone should be out there always doing their best. I was only just getting warmed up and i know i spent around $75k through different totes on queensland harness in the last 4 weeks into small pools.(not on fixed odds) From now on i will be investing nothing.I have given you the reason. It annoys me to think i may have been investing on something where its already pre determined that i am to lose, unbeknown to me beforehand. There is a possibilty that the drivers ive mentioned simply are very poor, but i can't say that because the stipes over there dont even ask about questionable drives. It is what it is. I will just concentrate on nz where i have confidence everyone is trying. I do like your passion for your racing over there.

Everyone should be out there always doing their best I didn't see some of those races to disect your opinion . assume you are accurate . did go back and view the hayden Barnes drive you mentioned on KatachaMan last race at Albion yesterday. and yeah had chance to stay 1-1 early and dropped 4 back on rails instead. a racing decision. whatever. it's a VERY low class horse . I like your philosophy ! and fully agree , Love seeing everyone Always doing their best out there. !!! I like my philosphy too , I just back good horses with good drivers. Group racing they're ALL having a go !! excellent. I made several thousand in July carnival here, Brodster ,Davis and others support weaker company (low class) races ??? that is great really because someone needs to do it. .. betting weaker company Addington Friday was a risk , I just did it for fun , and followed John Dunn for the night (a good driver). so did very well actually. Was Still very disappointed with NED KELLY drive in the last race, but you gave reasons for it , which I accept.!! AND so lose my money supporting weak class (and performed) runners , When should of known better.
Chief Stipe
@Gammalite in Queensland do they still have the minimum pace rule? i.e. you can't lead a quarter in less than x seconds?

I don't know what they are though. I only go along once a year. It doesn't happen often at all. They're usually just belting along flat out all the time these days (esp. with 'Leader Peter' whizzing along in front often) lol..... Here's a report from last year , shows a steward fine for slow sectional . (and Galahs mate h Barnes too ! lol.....) R1 Nathan Dawson (I Am Serengetti NZ) fined $200 AHR rule 163 (1) (b)(ii) - impeding R4 Peter Greig (Bodhi Tree) fined $200 AHR rule 156(2) - engaging the shoulder when applying the whip. R6 Graham Dwyer (Maywyns Best) fined $200 AHR rule 156 (3) unapproved whip use R7 Adam Sanderson (Smooth Showgirl) fined $150 under AHR rule 162 (1)(y) - slow sectional. R7 Hayden Barnes (Northview Hustler NZ) reprimanded AHR rule 163 (c)(ii) contacting marker peg

Well that supports my theory that the Queensland fields are pretty even and if the pace is on and even then it makes it very hard for any horse with a bad draw. Now NZ horses in my opinion are more used to putting in a quick sectional during a race to improve a position AND the good NZ Drivers can read pace and know when to go forward. The issue is further accentuated by tight tracks.
