Well there goes the first . ELOEL looked to be cruising home turn (then only 4th) , but ALL the Blair Orange fans got the bickies instead. what is all that about?

Oh dear. com'on John !! 4th is not gunna pay the bills ! lol......

Nah, Karrots looked at that 1 reviewed a few of its recent races (remember still learning South horses). Was paying good place money, good driver, great drive, but thought nah it maybe a bit weak, well not weak, but - well put it this way, wasn't surprised when it weaken how it did at very end & was lucky to hold 4th. Good Top 4 place tho for those that got on.

Yes,seemed to want to make sure orange got a run. Maybe appreciated him giving the lead to him early, and paid back the favor. On that driver,Kiwi x factor is one to follow. Maybe a junior driver race,or maybe with a  change of driver next time could help.

Well don't ever bet NED KELLY again. couldn't keep up down the backstraight? . countries Leading trainers ? with top driver. oh dear. I'm not having another bet after losing $20 on that and I am a fan of NZ harness racing !!! imagine how part time supporters feel with that horse in from $6 to $3.80 fav on Sportsbet. Am Just wait for Flemington tomorrow when more competitive lol..... no wonder harness support is fading. .

Yes,but that horse used to have a bad habit of breaking in the running last season. Then it got a bad knock on cup day,so it still lacks confidence like i suggested last week.

Gamms think you may have too many Champagnes BUT that ok, no problemo. You have BOAY Hall Pass tonight. Say anything & no moderation for you 😄

How cute were the 2 cuties winning again 😄

Sugar Me & O'Reilly

Wonder how far he is off the other top dogs his age.  Obviously not the same level as Krug currently. But he improving all the time.

I personally thought it could win,but really punters were ignoring its previous record. It had broken or gone very rough,or had a bad check in 2/3 of its previous 7 or 8 starts.O.k that may have been last season, but only the one handy run since this season.. Hindsight yes,but tonights run hardly surprising. It can only get better and has the abilty to improve, and no doubt will.

Countries Leading Trainers ? can't get a horse to tag on even a lap out ? One of the worst performances I've ever seen from any horse, let alone a Dunn horse. we used to have a bloke turn up at Albion Park each Saturday night with an open back truck. If you wandered out there half way through the program , you would see 3-4 horses on there munching on a hay slice looking about. that were kindly given to this man for a few dollars as you arrived at the course . sort of the uncompetitive horses having a gathering!!! guess where that truck was heading the next day . starting with M.?.

I'd keep a place reserved for NED KELLY on that ride.

Oh Gamms, anyway never fear Karrots here.

Tell you a neat story think you might like.

Remember when someone had a crack at you for drinking & posting. Then acting like all goodie, goodie. Said to you they didn’t drink, acting all innocent.

Guess what, that same poster was for a fact sending 2 peeps including myself crude unwanted PMs.

Plus apparently they were also sending other females on here crude messages too!

They gone AWOL now.

Bet they sent poor Basil a crude message. Poor Basil.

Go figure hey.

Acting all innocent. What a front. (Probably drinking & sending).

For example Bicarb makes zero difference.  The key is to keep your horse healthy, fit and happy. You can't give them much to go faster than what they are designed or bred to do.

I think bicarbs makes a big difference along with the added booster as I saw the end results but in saying that I am no chemist. Before it became a banned practice to tube horses on raceday I knew a couple of trainers who were as they called it back then milk-shaking. Granted It didn't make the horses go quicker it just made them keep going at the same pace without weakening. Often back then you saw winners sitting parked for the entire trip and the leader would weaken and the parked runner would win.

One trainer had a maiden I remember had no recent form but trialed well and he thought it could win but he tubed it with bicarbs just to give it an added edge and it led up and kept up a strong run to the line and won easily. Was never tubed again and never first 4 placed again. The glucose mixed in may have been the kicker, I am pretty sure Lance Armstrong got done for using a substance  closely associated to the milkshake mixture.

Best juice to use is elephant juice but these days no show of masking it. Years ago they used snake venom how someone came up to inject horses with that to win races still astounds me.

The worst practice I can recall reading about was removing the horses feet tendons so they never felt any pain over the final stages

Chief Stipe I am not disputing your call re no difference as I said above no expert on the matter but one can only think it might give an edge when you have witnessed the start and end result of using it.

There is no scientific evidence to show that it works.

Yet horses are running faster and longer now without it.
