Yeah Kango went nowhere turning in, thought might of run on a bit better, but did do mid race move from unruly. That was exciting race to watch with moves & no stable driving. Congrats to connections of South Coast Arden.
Gammalite
Well that sucks. My pin -up girl wins at $4.80 and didn't have a cent on it. Have ripped Farrah Fawcett and Rachel Welsh posters down off the wall to make room for her too . Just like covid lock-ups some things don't make sense ?Did Mark let her win ?? lol........ Nat is too good lol.....
Karrotsisback
Next Road to the Cup stop is next week in North with the Spring Cup, so shall post again here leading up to that. In the meantime for those that are interested in horse racing & kiwis, a slight detour tonight from road to Cup, going off road just briefly, for 2 potential future Cup contenders. Derby Heats Bendigo American Dealer 9.30pm - NZ time Sugar Me 10.30pm - NZ time Both have visitors draws, so will have to make a move at some stage in running to try to place top 3 to make final. Good luck to connections.

Guest CrossCodes
South Coast Arden looks the winner of the cup to me, very strong to the line last night and will just keep improving. As an aside, do they really think we believe Brent Mangos is still training the horse? It improved 5+ lengths since being domiciled with the Allstars leading into last years jewels and that form has carried on, Mangos has not trained a really good horse in a long time. I was pleased to see Nathan Williamson put his horse in the race too and stay in front, too often the horse has been driven for luck and been very unlucky, he needed to show he isn’t prepared just to hand up to anything leading into the cup. Took eyes off up the straight with the ding dong battle going on up front. But was 4 back rail, then was held up by a tiring horse. Once out it ran on nicely. Makes me wonder if the Cup has 12 starters if that is too many re traffic problems. Maybe should consider 10 + 1 wildcard = 11 in total in race + 1 emergency (so 12 including an emergency - instead of 12 in field). Over longer distance too. Just noticed there are LOTS of horses in the race or is there more. 12 isn't it or is that not right? Taking 1 out would help ease the traffic slightly. Not so bad if they didn't have sulkies but with sulkies it makes it tougher.
Chief Stipe
If you are @Karrotsisback then that is the wrong reason to reduce the size of the field. Any horse that qualifies should be allowed to start within the maximum field size limit.

The only way that can happen is lead, trail, 3 back or if you have mid race moved. As those that are handy in running line early get pushed back. Only certain types of horses can mid race move & still beat those on the rail line e.g. lead, trail, 3 back (esp at this level). Anyway thinking if horses like Pembroke Playboy, Robyns Playboy, Di Caprio, (Belle of Montana - at her best), Copy That are able to get a good start & the leader doesn't hand up they ALL then have a chance if in those 3 rail spots. Copy That, Bad to the Bone & Belle Of Montana hopefully we see in action in Spring Cup. Hopefully its an interesting run race this year after last year lol. Winner was a good one too . Couple of Sweet Lou's mare's 2nd and 3rd in the mares race at Menangle Race 3 Karrots! (run down by a Bettor's Delight of course !!!) THE STUNNING NUN also blistered home from well back to win Race 2 . she's a gun !!! Meanwhile a fellow kiwi is also looking like a 'Cup horse' in Brisbane. The former Matty Williamson horse DEUS EX won by 4 lengths un-touched in 1.51.4 making it three from three now At Albion Park, as $1.50 favourite everytime. Quite a horse.!!! Think he will be beating Colt Thirty One and Turn It Up the way he is going. Wonder why wasn't winning in NZ much? ?? Too hard over there?

Yes saw Dealers heat, got lucky with a run thru when a bunch broke up, so thru to final. Sugar Me not so lucky to get run thru. Was tired turning for home. Never mind. Checked his stats & he has only ever raced over short 1980m, that race was nearly 2700m. Hard when taking 2 corners, 3 wide plus sitting parked last lap. Not blaming driver, had to move. Just makes it so much tougher. At least they gave it a crack. While he is there they could start him again pick up some money.

I will have a lazy tenner on it fixed. For the past 5 years, its been All Stars as trainers, & their usual owners & drivers has been them too, with 1 exclusion Orange. For past 7 years same thing bar 1 horse 2015 Arden Rooney - Manning trainer/driver which likes like an Aussie with Aussie owners. For the reason above & that reason ONLY, would this year like too see the Cup go a different trainer/s, driver & owners for 2021. Whoever doesn’t bother me. Id be rooting for South Coast Arden being a Northern horse BUT same owners & horse is stabled at All Stars & same driver. Hence following ALL the OTHERS in lead up races that may have a chance, should they get a good trip Cup Day (including Di Caprio) 😃

Since that moment, both the lady drivers and jockeys going ahead in leaps and bounds with Natalie R and Jamie Kah winning a lot of big races and Premierships, etc..... Lady drivers rarely competed in these races, last century . Natalie Rasmussen is actually the 'Current INTERDOMINION champion' having won the last one with Ultimate Sniper , (and won the 4 Grand-finals early 2000's as well with Blacks A Fake) A Fun Fact for you guys, is Natalie was nearly NOT the First Lady driver to win the INTERDOMINION !!! Here's a page from Brisbane where I took a horse to race at 1986 Interdominion . A great kiwi bred horse, 'Village Kid' was 20-1 on ($1.05) to win and did easily.! But the 2nd placing was a 24 year old ANNE JAMES driving Vanderport . So close to Immortality for Anne!!!!!! , but $2 million winner Village Kid had the complete luxury of a short 2100m Grand Final at his complete mercy. SEE a NZ CUP winner Master Mood for Kevin Williams made the final too. !!! (finished 7th). and Vinny only 9th with Bag Limit.... 2

And checking the Dominion Karrots >>>>>>>> for a lady winner . Well SHEREE T is your girl !!! 2017 winner only lady driver win. Interestingly, a VERY tough race to win , with 2 of the greatest drivers I've ever seen, Peter Wolfenden is not on winners list , and Mark Purdon with just the 1 x victory in the Dominion Handicap. that is quite astonishing lol......... looks like John Dunn will go past that with defending champion SUNDEES SON this year , to get his 2nd win in the race after victory last year. Surely he gets a 10m handicap this time though ???
