Hey Honest John, yes read somewhere you are off to Europe soon. So can't be doing too badly 👍 Sounds fantastic!

Yeah this area is by no means low social economic INFACT there are some BIG banging houses around. The car that pulled up looked like someone from not in area. There is quite a bit of construction going on around the place around many streets too. To get in, you would have to folk out well over 1 million.

Nice to make your online BOAY acquaintance 😃

Righto logging off folks. Got some Netflix to watch.

PS watched this doco last nite, the car race driver M Schumacher. What a sad tale. Worth a watch.

Yeah the pyramids are on my bucket list plus back to Cornwall the most beautiful place in the world,st Ives and Penzance,I love it there. Yeah I did alright, worked for myself for 25 years,  retired at 60. Life’s good.

Sounds excellent for Fashion in the fields Cup Day Attire.

With respect, if one wears attire that resemblances that of a friend of a friend of the late Queen Mother’s attire, then would blend in perfectly in the F in the F comp. Might even win.

Poster M, oh no. Please stop right there 😞, trying to steer the thread back to topic 😃, was fun yesterday, we talked about, lawn mowing & cray cray peeps, fish n chips shops, Europe Trips, Netflix show, vaccine, Arden, perverts, Hei Hei, you name it we chatted about it.

But today lets get back to subject 👍

Doesn't look promising for Cup week.  Ardern and Co have had 18 months to organise themselves yet are now saying they won't be prepared for large events until Summer.

There is no reason why the South Island isn't in Level 1.  The only reason is that they have no option but to release the screws on Auckland which is a risk and to mitigate that risk they have to keep the rest of the country at a level higher than it needs to be.

karrots to be honest the South Island should of never been in lock down . mask wearing at the racers is just crap

Yip agree. Im pretty much over lockdown now. Stay home. Home, home,  home, boring, boring.

Im a swing voter too. So might change my vote.

Lets see what happens re Cup Week, South Island & Auckland. Hoping not level 3 for any LONGER beyond next Wed!

feel sorry for you karrots as Adam white says all dressed up and know were to go

Yip right there lol.

Funny you know, another poster used this exact same term "all dressed up & no where to go", to me on (Jewels Review) thread. Was trying to think who it was 🤔

Without checking & going back to see, quite sure it was a poster called Adios Paleface. He said he was an Aussie, talked like an Aussie too, to begin with lol. He's gone AWOL now.

Anyways you & him talk & think the same lol.

So I’m hearing 10 groups of 90 wtf? The place is just a drunk fest.my mate used to book a table of 10 for 3k , 300 bud a head. He stopped doing it about 8?  Years ago and puts it on at his home now, catered food all day, and booze and wine.  I really love it far much better than on course now.  We bet all day at our leisure.

Yip, on The Box seat the 1st halve of programme is about The Cup, & they talk about level 2 restrictions & what it means. Also touched on Dominion.

Green is such a crackup, so funny, & he's not even trying to be. Not afraid to give his opinion. He mentioned a concept they do in Europe for stand starts. The starter counts down from 5 & if a horse is facing wrong way too bad they pull the tapes back.

They also discussed turnover down over lockdown as Auckland TAB terminals are not in operation.

Galah the CEO said that Blue colours they got it wrong, but they learnt from that, which is good. No-ones perfect.

Worth a watch for those with time on hands & enthusiastic. Link is up on HRNZ.

Gammalite more likely to take on Popular Alm in his day. Paleface Adios actually had Koala King to contend with a few years earlier,  but from what I hear was a Top Bloke/horse.

Are all the covid cases in Auckland Karrots? tragedy if they block crowd for Cup week way down at Christchurch. >...In Victoria, They are very likely to block them again for Melbourne Cup (public attendance) .

Queensland now threatened with more Interstate Truck drivers testing positive. They have a 50,000 strong crowd booked for the NRL rugby League Final next week-end !!  imagine calling that off for a few community cases!. nuts...

What’s crazy is locking down the South Island, but then when you look at flight radar on my phone, planes everywhere.

a few days ago in a 5 min period

2 inbound from China, 1 kl. 1 Brisbane to alkd.

Syd and bris into Chch plus internal flights x 10

this government have no idea.

lol yes I suppose its not for everyone.

Quite a bit of info was given. That was what I was meaning 😃

They also interviewed T Williams about how the change came about from Cullen/All Stars to Telfer.

Dalgety on Sugar Me & Krug. How Stylish M is to be scratched this week as has a hoof prob. Gave update on Methven track & Kaikoura meeting etc.

Also interviewed CEO & spoke about Wellness campaign, how trainers/drivers have social media to deal with 😬

There was just a variety of stuff there. Find Guerin is giving more opinion nowadays. Oppose just solely sucking up. But know what you mean.

Guess they have to be mindful. Look what happened to Teaz.

Yes Gamms, currently just Auckland cases are in & Auckland in tight level 3 settings. So effectively stay home with takeout.

Agree re South is Covid free, surely could go to level 1 soon if not next week.

I used to watch it but not now, just personal preference. The thing I would like to see is the average trainer, the battler, after all they are the back bone of the industry.

btw are you in Auckland?  Im in chch, chch boy through n through. Although I normally come up for the Rowe cup.

Same here, watched it, then stopped, BUT just watched the start back episode, as yes in Auckland. Not much to do. Think its  going on week 7 lockdown now here.

Lets give Boxseat feedback, you & me Honest John.

We please request some average trainers to be put on. Maybe like a unique story how they got involved or are doing or something. And/or also hobby trainers.

They have started a new segment where they interview a young participate each week. This weeks was C Dalgety, so thats cool.

I don’t mind Guerin. He take pride in his appearance, which is important as a host. But yeah we all have our likes & dislikes.
