Of course it is part of the Ellerslie Racecourse - a part that has now been subdivided off.

Geez if they keep chipping away they'll only have enough room to race miniature ponies!!

You know when you think of it, if they sold the whole lot and Avondale they could set up somewhere else, maybe have two tracks at one venue, or even a third AWT and  use it more regularly, just a thought.
