There aren't even marker posts every furlong - or there weren't three weeks ago. How can you train on it or run trials without marker posts? No wonder the jockeys down there can't pace work to time!

No one have a can of red paint? Or are they specially made and on a slow boat from China? I guess it would be too much to ask if they installed the capability for electronic sectional timing? So if they can run "Official" Trials what is the hold up to Racing?

There are a couple of volunteers at Foxton who managed to get new ones up with a few sheets of treated ply and a couple of cans of paint. Easy peasey. curious
What I'm loving is that as an owner with a paid up runner, neither the club nor NZTR have bothered to directly notify me that the meeting has been postponed. I'm not hopeful, when they txt the trainer to say it is postponed to Monday and refer to the website for details which say it is postoned to Tuesday, but guess I can try invoicing the club for my airfare and accommodation and rental car etc which became non-refundable in the interim. 1

Chief Stipe
I don't know how many times I get the email from the TAB telling me that my "Favourites" are racing today when in fact they are scratched. Probably more than 50% of the time. Today's takes the cake though as not only is the horse not running but the entire meeting has been "scratched"! The Fun stopped long ago!

If that's the case, I might send them the bill for Monday's airfare as well. Fortunately, I hadn't quite got round to re-booking car and accommodation for that journey. Point out that they now have a COO and a new computer system to handle communication supposedly better than before. Now you can do that privately or post an open letter on BOAY. If they have some kind of moisture suction device down there that can do that, they should share it around. I can think of some tracks that could use it. That device must be deployed. H11 Friday, H10 yesterday, Slow7 this morning, Dead 6 this afternoon?
