Posted, couriered or hand delivered by vestal virgins, it won't matter this week.

She has allegedly improved lengths since that run at Ellerslie. She might even lead.

What happened to that lovely Roc de Cambes mare Baker had KITK? Joy Alone, she just disappeared, nommed for the big cups.......

FFS, Riddell does same same, 3 wide against that class of filly, who'd be a fucking owner in NZ

Breathe Joe , breathe .

Apparently some argue that 3 wide with no cover is sweet , keeps an nice even momentum out there , i think she could have done that outside the leader .

But should Riddell have gone forward or dropped back?  Wasn't that Elliot's choice?

Wouldn't have got close to the winner regardless.

Correction Chief.......it was Shaun McKay riding at Ellerslie.

Regardless, It was an awful watch, with the horse having no chance from that position - I though it looked uncomfortable in the parade - it doesn't normally sweat up like that so maybe the trip down had an effect.

The winner was very good and nothing would have beaten it on the day.

And Craig Grylls needs a compass as well, never a run where he went in the Thorndon, what a huge run.

Have to say Joe the winner was impressive , that win made his credentials for stud as more than a tough old stayer .

As for Grylls got a position further back than i think he had to , if he looked over shortly after the start he would have seen a few going forward and he should have held the 3 back position , then made the choice to try and come off on the corner and got smacked back in , there is not much of her and it took a while to get balanced up and going again , if he had stayed inside would have got the same inside run he ended up with and would have better momentum up .

Jockeys , what do you do with them ?

Shoot em !

Princess Lowry , Rogie gets to the bottom of another one , such a shame , hopefully not serious .

Rogie knows the game so well=NUMBERS...race them...who knows next week they may have a broken leg.

Btw...did he end up with a share in Savabeel at stud?

He's been the 3rd highest number of starters for the last 3 season behind Richards and Marsh , they strike at between 5 to 7 , Rogie usually up in the high teens , says it all .

Don't know regarding Savabeel , but he's bought a few for big bucks , remember the Katie Lee colts , didn't return anything that i can remember . One was a superstar before he even raced but had to be euthanized without racing .

The minute he labels them their fate is sealed .

And then Satherley massacres his other Roc de Cambes filly Carte Blanche. How not to ride a race, draw 15 and sit out there wondering what might happen inside........why not go straight back, she didn't have the gate speed so go back, FFS, last bet in NZ ever....thats an effen promise, that riding fee should be donated to the Winston Peters happy retirement fund......

Just wondering...any other NZ trainer won the Cox Plate,Melbourne Cup and the Golden Slipper.😜

Ah, but have a look at who was his foreman, tells you everything.

PRINCESS LOWRY (L Satherley) - Raced keenly when being restrained in the early to middle stages. Was eased down by its rider from near the 500 metres. Underwent a post-race veterinary inspection which found the filly to be 3/5 lame in the right foreleg. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to racing next.
