He is back - Beragio!!!!

I note that Beragio is starting a new campaign on Friday night at Addington drawn the pole.

He is now being trained by Murray Edmonds as he was previously trained by Ross Cameron.

He is a 7 year old so will be 8 in the next week.

Find it hard to understand  why you would bother paying the bills and giving this horse another campaign.

He has had 11 starts and I would say that it is right up there with the scariest horses to be in a race.

It was a proverbial galloper in just about every one of its races, being stands and mobiles, prior to the start, during a race and at the finish of a race and yet the Stipes for some stupid reason never made it unruly!!!

Will be very interesting to see if Stephen McNally can get the horse around without galloping sometime in the race and not checking something?

Murray obviously respected his health a bit more than Stephen!!

The TAB should have an option for this, whether Beragio gallops or not!

I know which one I would be investing on!

Probably not Flagship!

If Ross Cameron has given up training him then I doubt he is going to be the next best thing.

Did run 4th out of 5 in a workout at Ashburton on 10th July.

I just hope the horse has settled down and learnt to pace for the whole race, and can not understand  why you be bothered racing a 8 year old gelding with limited ability and as unruly as hell, that hasn’t raced for a year?

Will be very interesting to see if he gets around, but should’ve been made unruly by the Stipes or the trainer previously.

How many times do you have to gallop in a race before you are made unruly??????

He must have pleased the stripes, maybe change of trainer might help..definitely a watch only race!!

Crappy tab haven't even put out ff odds for tomorrow night....Ethiopian tab had their odds for Addington up yesterday!!

They have this policy of bringing them out if there is the only one harness meeting at 5.30pm on the day before the meeting.

I don’t know why they can’t bring them out earlier than this as some people may be busy coming home from work or cooking the tea or feeding the baby at 5.40pm

At least if they came out earlier some people could invest earlier when they are in the loo at work or something like that.

He broke 7 out of 7 times when he first started.

Now with Murray Edmonds whose horses are not renowned for their speed.

They must see something.

Owners must have full blinds on, and every other thing to stop horses seeing too much!

Beragio was still breaking at his last starts as well, he probably got round a couple of times without a gallop!

My point is that the horse should’ve been made unruly and is a damn menace in a field.

For safety it should be unruly or even better in a paddock.

Unless you clash with the home of harness racing so Addington comes out a bit later at 6 pm.

They must be flooded with those big bets at big odds at Alexandra Park.

Instead of being antagonistic why don't you give your price first?

Happy, this Rangatira as you say is just on to try and have us on.

I am not going to bother biting when he posts, as he is from the darkside!

I am still awaiting his evidence claim that Brodie tells lies!!!

Good man.

Also, that 24ff is a joke. How Beragio could be offered at this price with The Buckeye Bullet at 1.70FF after a 5 length demolition of a trials field and about 5 other horses with ability way beyond his. That second he had was on the grass at Blenheim from memory on their shared card with gallops if I am correct.  Now they think he will turn up to Addington and win after not racing for a year and a trial against these horses?

OMG...honestly grow some balls TAB. Calling yourself bookmakers or oddsmakers is a joke.

beragio I think would have a better chance of winning a race that little miss in race one as trainer of than horse has trained one winner in last fifty years

Dean Taylor is currently training Little Miss, although it still looked like it needed some feeding when it raced at Rangiora last Sunday.

Really is a poor looking standardbred that is crying out to be retired like several other maiden trotters.

That first race last Sunday at Rangiora was an absolute shocker for lacking ability.

The horse that won it trained by Robbie Holmes I doubt will ever run a place again, as it is pretty useless.

It led and not had on and was stopping.

Maybe the TAB will open up an option and let me offload!

24ff and 5ff grab your attention?

Just shows how tight the TAB are.

On the back of a 56 last half close up 3rd at the trials.Went quite good and a repeat performance would see the $5 place as worth the risk.
