Peanut
Lets just move every race meeting to Ruakaka. This has got beyond ridiculous.

Doomed
What's the point of the AWT at Cambridge? They knew yesterday Tauranga was suspect, surely they could have been proactive. That's what they would have done in Aussie. Sure some would have scratched because they don't like the all weather, but as it stands no one has had a start.

We are in a full blown La Nina event. It isn't out of the ordinary either. My local older sailing mates are running a book on not if but when we get nailed by a tropical cyclone out of the Pacific. Their guesses are based on memories going back 50 to 60 years of sailing.
Chief Stipe
Look out this weekend @nod there is a Cyclone predicted to head down close to NZ to the West. A Cyclone Giselle track.
Tesio
Tauranga races again in 2 days. It’s now Monday afternoon and the last track update was 2 days ago….Sat Morn and it was Heavy 10 and not update since. Why no update since Sat morning…..would have thought NZTR and Tauranga club would have been on the ball for this one after the shambles last meeting there.

Chief Stipe
A Slow 9 on raceday. The fields have been trashed by scratchings. 46 scratchings in total.

They did start with big fields, still about 10 left in most races. Trainers just don't like racing in big fields and because they have so many opportunities they can just pick and choose. I wonder if it were to piss down and I know it ain't going too but if the same thing happens for Ascot Park this saturday if the same number of scratchings would occur, less choice further south so they just get on with it, good fields for saturday in reality. Maybe if they fine trainers, not the owners if they scratch without a vet certificate they would not put them in the race to start with.
