You have to be kidding.

Steven McRae needs to find a new stable driver, you would have to think?

You must be meaning the last race.

It was perhaps the most obvious case of a horse not being driven on its merits since the matt anderson drive at nelson that started up operation inca.

And believe it or not, the stipes didn't even think it worth a mention.

Well it isn't that obvious is it?  Remind me again - what match fixing charges was he convicted of?

Brodie, I had been led to understand by posts from yourself and others on this site, that you were an expert on racing. If that is the case then you must have been suffering from an intense bout of brain fog when you made your post. The fact is the horse broke at the start and lost considerable ground(see stipes report). The horse did amazingly well to finish 4th. Horses are not machines, they have limits to what they can do. It's not just a case of putting your foot down on the accelerator

Robalan, where have I ever once stated that I was an expert on Racing?

To be fair I have no idea why Steven McRae would line thst horse up in a stand when he had no idea on how to pace away correctly!

Anyone sho backed it at those microscopic odds from the stand I would say were taking a risk not worth taking!

However, my point was that the horse was a hot favourite and was by far the best  horse in that field by a country mile.

The horse lost a fair amount of ground from the early gallop but did catch the very poor field without much effort!!!!

With the amount of ability it had a far more successful result wouldve been to have moved around the field without much effort!

Craig Thornley had this opportunity but did not take it and the fact that it stormed home showed the horses ability.

You can defend Craig’s drive as much as you want but it was clear to see that it was poor decision making!

I dont confess to be an expert on racing as you put it, however “Brodie is once again on the money”.

Not on this occasion Brodie, you are in fact well off the money

Your opinion and perogative, however any top driver wouldve won with that horse.

He had plenty of opportunity to put the horse into the race rather than roar home from last in the straight.

The McRae horses on the whole were disappointing for the punters on Wednesday!
