Doomed
Does anyone else find it somewhat surreal that the person who overseas the rabble that is the warriors, basically a laughing stock, is considered totally suitable to run NZTR?
Joe Bloggs
One rabble to another really, they've forgotten grass roots again, either that or they have complete disdain for them. That vertically challenged chap on the other channel seems to think Saundry did a good job, therein lays a real problem as he had a bit of support, with intellect like that, racing has no chance.
Joe Bloggs
How many less races are being run now compared to say 5 years ago?.........the industry is in such a precarious position wouldn't it be more prudent [and fair] to increase maidens and R65/74 by 5k, and then divvy up what's left to the high profile racing.......

Don't come on here talking common sense Joe, you ruin the whole look of the place.

Notice the parallel direction they are both taking with , all down hill . His decision making at the Warriors is farcical , sacked Shaun Johnson saying they couldn't win a premiership with him and rehired him 3 years later when he was even worse saying he was the experienced head they required , the guy makes it up on he hoof .

Doomed
I can't help thinking that about 30 years ago if the chairman of NZTR, or the equivalent, had a job on the side that was somewhat distasteful and brought the racing industry into disrepute there would be discussions on high from the power brokers and they would decide he had to go. It's hard to believe no one of influence has suggested this isn't a good look.
Joe Bloggs
Can anyone tell me why so few women hold positions of influence and responsibility in racing NZ? Maybe with a few fairer sex executives in management there might be less boys club behaviour. It works in the corporate world, but Planet Racing NZ style is a rarified and sacred space it appears........lets leave Glenda out of it, that was a biggggggg mistake, or was it? At least learn from it, there are talented women out there, with so much racing expertise, all it takes is a will, and of course some willing women.....
Gospel of Judas
Got remember the dreg that runs NZTR as Chair, should been run out NZRacing industry over the runing of the Integrity unit and all his crocked we deeds. But hey! if are mates of his or drinking mates, get special protection. Why those types in the end, surround themselves around yes people and becoming ever growing cancer. Look at NZ Racing becoming the new NZ Warriors or are they past it? Edited June 7, 2022 by Gospel of Judas

But was defnitely a massive mistake. One of many at the time.
Joe Bloggs
One of the saddest days for NZ racing was when Saundry got off the plane, ''the fixer'' yeah right, Saundry will fit right in back in Woke Victoria, although he might be a tad nervous awaiting the outcome of Kate Goodrich's court action. NZ deserved better, much better, or did it? I'll let you lot decide that. 2

Well Joe we did deserve better and now we deserve better but another muppet has parachuted into his seat , so the side show goes on .

Huey
Here it is the most important document in NZ racing in 50 years! BS Venue Plan. How has the transition process gone to date? How has racing allowed these incompetents to make decisions like this? https://loveracing.nz/OnHorseFiles/No.26 - 29-1-19 NZTR Venue Plan 2019.pdf

I wonder how many of the bright sparks that came up with the plan are still involved in the industry. I see the Cambridge synthetic will no longer be used for racing in 6 or 7 years and Cambridge will have moved to a new venue. Banks Pen I see will have moved to Ashburton and Marlborough will probably be the club that races furtherest away from its home town. I wonder if they assess progress each year and give themselves a rating as to how successful they have been so far, I imagine they do. I wonder what the last rating they gave themselves regarding success and progress was?

Why are they making it sound as if they are doing the industry a favour , they are the head body so they must bear that responsibility , and if not them then who should take on the leadership role . They sound as if they have just opened up an office in NZ and aren't happy with what they see and are prepared to help the industry out of the mire . They are fucken clueless and deluded . If the industry is in such a dire straight they only have to look back over the last 20 years of their weak leadership to see why the industry is on it's knees . The one thing they should take responsibility for is the current situation , be brave , put your hands up to that one . Absolutely spineless . 1
