Rowley Mile
Bernard dodged the salaries question, they are in denial [human nature] to show the populace they are genuine they need to start retrenching. What a great look this all is, a top heavy failed business and yet it still continues. It's an absolute debacle, there is not a shred of accountability or transparency, no use spruking good governance Bernard, it's past you......what an absolute failed lot, come March/April when the so called race fields legislation etc is meant to launch, it will be the usual fizzer, but the salaries will still be paid to a massive lot of underachievers........obviously there are some in Petone that do give a shit......but their futile efforts would have been stymied by the suits above them......once the retrenchments start, and those responsible for some of the most unbelievably stupid decisions in racing history called to account, only then will we contemplate re-investing in NZ Racing....via ownership and breeding.....it's downright bloody shameful, and I for one am disgusted. 5
hesi
They do tend to run with the hares and hunt with the hounds, some of these people who were meant to lead. Bernard and NZTR are only small fry as far as costs go, compared with the RB. Remember in Peters speech, when commenting on the RB, "I know a dead horse when I see one" Looks like they are setting up a new set of hopefully sleek new posts on a well drained new field, and leaving the old players behind. Just a polite way of saying DCM

Just a polite way of saying DCM Hesi, in all reality this could be turned around overnight, I think you know it, I know it, and most/all of the good people on here know it......all it takes, The Owners Association, yes, TOA........they call a meeting, they put up a vote of no confidence in NZRB and the show ponies at NZTR........they then direct their trainers to not nominate, then put a directorate to the Minister, no racing until both boards resign....that's what happens in corporate worlds, when corporate worlds collide. Just do it for Gods sake, they aren't going to resign, Peters knows that, they don't believe they have done anything wrong, they are blame shifters, therefore, Peters needs to act......of course as I've mentioned many times, there are many who have never had life so good, for various reasons, including no need to worry about prize money, as that is not their ''End Game'......trading, stallion syndications, seem to be the driver theses days, the majority seems to be for the benefit of the few!......the influence they have at the top end?....shame it has come to now before they stepped up to the plate, it's only now they give a toss....pleeease, the spotlight is on them, they need to get behind those at the coalface, it's a changing world, NZ is being left behind, the dissection of Mr Messara's white paper has been in general positive, it needs tweaking, but in closing I'd like to point out to Mr Saundry, the taking of, or the threats to take, the assets of private land holdings to prop up and bolster the failed business model that is NZ Racing, in many countries would be considered treacherous and predatory behaviour.....think carefully, as the public are revolting, now the storming of the Bastille is needed....the balls in your court, not theirs. 1
Rowley Mile
Oh, one more thing, Kerry Packer established World Series Cricket as a protest against the ''Establishment' that in Kerry's mind was bringing cricket to it's knees. The players were poorly paid, Kerry changed that, cricket turned for the good, it became prosperous again, everyone benefited, not only the 'Establishment'.......but it took massive upheaval before change happened........history repeats, this is a Kerry Packer moment, a lot of lives and incomes depend on the right outcome, and Kerry took no prisoners, lets morph Packer and Peters, one still lives, cmon Winnie,' now's the hour.'......they sang that wonderful song to the Maori Battalion when they went to war, I hope Winnie realises that for some, or many, this is their last hope/stand.......or it's over. 1

Never happen, because there are many doing very well out of racing, trading bloodstock, racing the good ones in Aus. Just look at how the piper has been paid, a synthetic racing track in Cambridge(how odd), to further facilitate the above. How could a synthetic track in Cambridge help racing other than this 3

Thomass
Oustanding performance by the one off guest Lukas Sporamadious Radish.... If normal Radish's were that perspicacious there'd be a whole lot less arguments and we'd all get some sleep... G Simon was dumbfounded by the perspacity and simply toed the Winnie's Party line..and who could blame him after 9 years of total hands off hopeless Knats Governance.. But sure az battery Eggs arnt az yella... Radish will be making a submission to Winnie's office ...will he disguise it with a Toupe and over coat as well?? Mark D
Yeah well at least Luke had some ideas of his own rather than George's "lets follow the leader" rubbish. But governance, while being the "in word" these days won't solve all your problems if people have unrealistic expectations and the thoroughbred people have been living in the past for too long in expecting the other codes, sports and pokies to prop them up. Breeders have overseas markets and do not need an unaffordable local racing industry (at the "high" end) to prop them up. Closing tracks and have a spend up on artifical tracks will not solve this problem - rather it will exacerbate it. 2

Thomass
Interesting show...they basically devoted the whole slot to Jockeyship After ignoring Tinsley 2 weeks before he was the centre piece The glaring omission...and this would have been dealt with if they'd have allowed viewers questions...
