    • I read it Gamma and I spot the error to prove it...Lordship won the NZ Cup in 1962 and 1966...Cardy won it in 1963. You mention the good horse Waitaki Hanover which for some seasons was trained by Wolfie also. In later years Wolfie trained a brilliant Victor Supreme who ran 2nd in Interdom Final to Golden Reign [ A ]. But both Victorv Supreme and the 3rd horse were later disqualified after positive swabs. Wolfies son Glen drove VS. Then later on I was excited to join  a big synd in a Wolie trained horse. Peter won a couple of races on this promising horse named after an Olympic Gold Medalist but thru unsoundness it was moved to Chief Stipe Gale .It won 3 x races quite quickly then entered in Interdom as a 6 win horse. It ran mid field driven by Nicole Molander. Nicole had driven  a trotter Lanson to 4th in Trotters final the year before then the next year won a consolation race on Lanson. The year Rondel scored its upset win over the favourite Sapling , the sedate pacers final was upstaged at Addington by No Response's remarkable finish to win the Trotters final. Rondel was the mingling of the owners names.
    • TAB, great to have initiatives that are positive for harness racing without doubt! Can you unequivocally state that you believe that shelling out $720,000 times 5 so $3,600,000 thats right $3.6 million in stakes for  owners of horses bred to cheap stallions is going to be the best way to spend it, vor the benefit of harness? Anyway good that you comment as that is what we need, people expressing their view! The reality is that this series is only due to the Entain cash splash or it would not be happening. Have no confidence in many of the decisions being made and happy to be wrong for the future success of harness racing! At the end of the day time will tell who is correct as we look back in 2 or 3 years time on BOAY! The committee that is coming will hopefully sort things out and effect change?
    • Well enjoy the next 5 years .....after that things could be up in air , and some new incentives will be available for the cheaper/value fees. A new boom sire will be in vogue !  So much to worry and moan about......for what  IMO a good time to be involved !
    • HRNZ may well have promised this series for 5 years! No way on earth will they be paying out as much as $60k per race after Entain’s cash splash is finished! So breeding to a $5k stallion this season so they can race in this series in the next few years means the horse being bred will be outside the 5 years!!
    • What about sky major doing good job at stud hope he got some good mares
