    • That's a Southern Surge race yet a horse trained in Canterbury, raced in Canterbury lines up today, why or how ? And in race 2 the market mover last time I looked was paying 45 on the tote, open fixed at 126, interesting.
    • wasn't that you at the Salvo's last week ? A few Lazy boys make there way there going cheap,  when the old boys pass away that have lived in em' for a few years. You just have to check they're still not in it before taking it home. Funerals not as cheap as they used to be.
    • And you're not muddying the waters with your unsupported opinions and allegations? Perhaps she did but she, like your, drew unsupported conclusions based on pseudoscience and subjective analysis.  Neither of which she has experience let alone expertise in.  I have no issue with a horse being turned into pet food just as I don't have an issue with dairy or beef cows going the same way.  That's the cycle of life.   Then perhaps more should go via the petfood route rather than spending the rest of their life bored in a paddock.  As for the rehoming of racehorses the hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me of those who breed or buy a horse, race it and love it and all the fun but then start crying a river when the realise they have to do something with it when it has stopped being productive.   Yes I will although it is easy to do so because neither of you present facts or evidence to support your generalised opinions. Window dressing what?  I'm pragmatic about livestock and I'm pragmatic about an industry that breeds and races horses as part of a business and professional sport.  You can't sugar coat the hard facts.  If you want to be vegan or wear plastic shoes then go for it but don't foist your opinions on me.   Perhaps she does just like some "influencers" are convinced that man didn't land on the moon.  But why let a nutter influence what the industry does?  Why don't we have people holding up cans of pet food to all the dog lovers saying "my horse keeps your dog happy and fed"? That about sums it up "her heart is in the right place".  However her head is in space.
    • i see this horse is pying only $1.95 to win in race 1 at gore. its failed to score up to the mobile in 4 of its last 5 attempts. why it wasn't stood down after doing so last startwas a real mystery. It appears they didn't do so because the previous start another horse who broke was blamed for the false srart, even though daisy diana hadn't scored up. its been veryvery lucky that they have called false starts so many times ,apparantly because they were worried about it getting in someones way when the field had gone a round.. obviously it is a good chance if it went away, but $1.95 for a horse with a 1 in 5 strike rate of going away?.
