Seriously, what a bunch of f'in AMATEURS Clearly, on Trackside the LIVE Judge's photo linx was showing a margin to MIDNIGHT EDITION over YALDI Then without explanation the 'Judge' announces a deadheat!! WTF?? Post race, after fuming punters bombarded Oatham with a please f'in explain, the full truth finally comes out "In post-race Trackside coverage, the photo finish footage shown included coverage from the inside camera which was not correctly aligned. The result of the race was judged off the outside camera which is located in a permanent mount inside the Judge’s box. Steward’s concerns regarding the inside camera not being correctly aligned were raised with Club Officials for follow up." Does this mean the f up at Pukekohe a few weeks ago where the "inside camera had a bent leg and couldn't be used" was STILL being used?? What a disgraceful bunch of Amateurs we have in 'control' THE Premier 'club' at HQ hasn't got the inside camera aligned?? FFS!!! The tighter the margin, the easier it is for articulate people to put forward their case. In my opinion regardless of who puts up the protest (Steward, jockey or trainer) it should only be the jockeys of the horses involved in the enquiry who should be in the room with the stewards -
They have struggled at the new Ellerslie for some time. Over 80 starters for 4 winners. Also is there an element of the new prize money catching up, better horses staying not being sold etc? -
One week after a red hot fav from the usually all conquering Te Akau stable flops at Trentham another (Damask Rose $1.90) cannot even run in the first three in R7 Ellerslie today. On the face of it one might be able to do very well on New Years day by factoring their runners out of your analysis.
