  1. I know the TAB pays full Div on Deadheats - Emily said so so it must be true.
  2. Geez Curious how far back to you want to go? Yellow bet slips?
  3. That's your opinion. As for hyping things up I thought the total was $8.25m NOT $9m. $3.5m is Raffle money is it not? At the end of the day that money will be distributed to a lot of owners. An interesting statistic will be how many owners will be rewarded at the end of the day.
  4. I tend to agree. They may not make a profit but turnover will be well up coupled with some great racing from Flemington.
  5. How many of them back up in a week nowadays? Let alone the elephant in the room of backing up on the Ellerslie track!!
  6. Isn't where the money is though. Plus limited opportunities and you can only win very few of them unless you have a Makybe Diva.
  7. 5 & 6 6 & 7 ??
  8. Why would that be the only measure of success? There are numerous others that are more relevant.
  9. It only looks stupid to those who are already hooked in racing. Ask the Slot Holders who have put the money up. The rest is marketing which the industry desperately needs.
  10. Can still aim for the Oaks. Although it will be aid to the beat the current favourite for that race. But you haven't named one horse of the "numerous"! I don't see any.
  11. Bollocks. When was the last time there was a better race meeting in NZ other than Karaka Millions night? Most of the news agent outlets for the RaceForm were sold out within an hour.
  12. I don't like the NZB Kiwi because it's a Slot Race. But the issues with 3yr old availability and class are fundamental issues that the NZB Kiwi has little to no effect on.
  13. Great then that there is an alternative. Who really wants a horse that gets 2400m?
  14. The Kiwi is 1500m. They might have the pedigree but I doubt many of them would get 2400m nor want to.
  15. Can you imagine @Huey and @TAB For Ever at the same leaner in a bar?
  16. Some of them should be already. The Auckland Cup is already on alert.
  17. I can't see how it is a "total disaster". Which horses were forced to choose what race to start in? I don't see any of the NZB Kiwi starters running the Derby distance.
  18. Obviously you don't follow your own advice to Track Managers and you have been irrigating them!
  19. 8 mins? Yeah in an ambulance with a Police escort!
  20. Easy. @mikeynz has asked a fair question albeit a tad inelegantly.
  21. I don't find it concerning. I gather the functionality was added in response to customer requests and to meet statutory requirements in other countries. Yes it could be used for nefarious purposes however it would be clearly apparent to the author and ultimately wouldn't be popular with the wider community. I have had reason to use the functionality upon request from a poster to edit a part of a post that wasn't what they intended or after being warned that the content was offensive or defamatory. In those instances I will record the reason for the edit and make the reason visible for all to see. My policy is to hide a post that crosses certain lines - they are never deleted just made not visible to anyone other than the administrator or moderators. What I find more concerning is where an administrator or moderator will selectively delete or hide posts for no other reason than to manipulate the fair exchange of opinions and/or to personally denigrate a contributor.
  22. Well @SLB2.0 is talking about 10 to 15 years ago. At that time the only way to gain access to someone elses account was either by the backend database, which as you would know requires a degree of technical skill that the average person doesn't have, or by changing the password of a user and accessing the account from the front end. In @SLB2.0 's case and a number of others the second option was used.
  23. When did you first have access to the back end of "this software"?
  24. @SLB2.0 there were worse cases than yours. Higher profile as well that involved a lot of money changing hands in the end. Two owners of the other site at the time - one several leagues more intelligent that the other.
