  1. The arrests were based on what the RIB(RIU) told them was fraud. That's where the whole INCA case falls over. The RIB ex-police employee connection didn't help and I seriously doubt the police will be so quick to get roped in for the next "raid". I've talked to a RIB employee who was involved in the raids and it was Hollywood stuff. Flack jackets, walkie-talkies etc. The RIB employees were fully kitted out in Police equipment. It was a complete farce from beginning to end. So you are assuming that there was due cause for arrest but that was based on what the RIB was telling them had happened. It's am embarrassment for the Police, the RIB and harness racing in general.
  2. I was in the owners/trainers stand at Addington for that race. I'll never forget it. Why were you there?
  3. Unfortunately he died in the States. I was with the Hill family when they found out. A very sad day as Single Lord was one of those gentleman horses that raced well and a real competitor but was a real softie at home.
  4. But INCA didn't FIND any rot!!
  5. Only conditioning!!! He was in Ray Norton's stable for that win. But like all the best horses they practically train themselves. All you have to do is keep them happy.
  6. LOL Pot Kettle! What's it like in the wilderness?
  7. Yep especially McShane who I had the pleasure of regularly driving in training. His stable name was John but should have been Mr Ed as he was near human at times. Single Girl was given to Brian and George Hill by Ted Lowe and Single Lord and McShane weren't they only good horse she produced. Was lucky to do some long trips on the float from Nelson to Christchurch with McShane to race at Addington. He would be stabled at the Nyhans stud in Templeton. I can tell many stories about John - an incredible thinking horse. I used to jog him early in the mornings and get the instructions from the trainer on what to do - "warm him up for a lap then a brisk 40 min jog right handed". I unhook him from the post, he stands perfectly with one eye looking back and the moment he sees me settled in the sulky he turns and starts walking down to the track. Get down to the track and before I had a chance to steer in the right direction John had already starting a slow jog in the right direction. Exactly one lap later picked up his speed and exactly on 40mins started slowing down went passed the turn off and stopped then turned around and starting walking back to the stables up to the post and stands there while I go to hook him up. I hadn't moved an inch the whole hour nor had I had to give him any instructions or move the reins. Washed him down then put him in the inside sawdust roll - he rolls walks up to the entrance - I ask "are you finished yet" - he shakes his head and goes back rolls again and again. He comes back and you ask are you finished and he nods his head. But he had a few little dirty tricks to show you who was boss - getting out of the roll and up to the concrete floor he would put his front hoof on your boot and give it a good squeeze. Really nice on a 7degree frost morning! Some of his race stories are worth retelling. He could really trot too. Single Lord was the quietest stallion racehorse I've ever seen. The Trainers children used to play with him and the horse wouldn't bat an eyelid.
  8. How do you explain that P production has increased since the ban was put in place? Then again was it actually banned or just made prescription only? Don't forget to mention Jacinda Adern billions given to Pfizer and Merck for useless Covid drugs. We are still paying as well. Molnupiravir was tens of millions of wasted money to stock something that has never been used.
  9. Not up to HRNZ to compensate - that task falls full and square on the RIB and its employees.
  10. Five years of legal expenses and legal scrapping would tarnish me. Bear in mind they had to use their own .only to fight not someone else's as the RIB did.
  11. Great to see the Media on the rack.....finally! Tova you're Over.
  12. If anyone wants a more reasoned for and against article on the smoke legislation read this: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/derek-cheng-why-the-new-government-wants-to-make-it-easier-to-smoke-tobacco/EGQZKJFD5FFJTL7MZLIBN254RQ/
  13. To achieve what? That's where it's all stuffed up. Do you really want to direct your resources to check car rego's or something more important? I'm sure you get off on counting inane stats.
  14. Don't forget my Alumni Dr Cliff Irvine from Lincoln College. Owner, Breeder, Trainer of Tussle.
  15. But that isn't what the Act says.
  16. What? The only caught recreational drug users in NZ. NOTHING to do with racing! The RIB had limitless industry money and those they targeted had SFA. The outcome millions of dollars down the drain and some good people's lives fucked. I hope there is some court cases seeking recompense. Hell I might even start a BOAY "Give-a-little" page.
  17. Yes. But more than that. I know a heap about this "investigation" and it was led by one ex-cop. He needs to go. If anyone is bringing racing into disrepute it is him.
  18. And the key players are still running the show at the RIB!
  19. No I'm not I'm just pointing out the facts.
  20. How do my actions at home have anything to do with my employer? By the far the majority of people I know consider it to be none of their business. It only concerns the nosey minority woke Karen's such as yourself and @Thomass.
  21. But the SFO investigated and found no fraud. I agree but why not make it 36 hours before first race. Also presumably under the current rules you could seek RIB approval to give the treatment within a shorter time frame. Has that ever been done? Wasn't a stablehand. But that said the rule is ambiguous and Singapore's is different. If you read the full judgement you can see some communication issues. Conjecture. No evidence to suggest that. Must have been the 0800 Snitch line. How many other trainers are doing or have done treated horses with non-prohibited substances in the interests of the horses health and the owner and punter pocket?
  22. That's an issue for the Police not your employer or the pseudo-Feds.
