  1. I can fix that. What name do you want? Any Name Brodie.
  2. Then there is the fact that Greyhounds are prone to gracillus injuries.

  4. That's what you've heard but I doubt the Jockeys said nothing. Anyway back to the topic - is there a written report available on the Ellerslie track KM day? In a perfect world we would have choices and choose to race horses elsewhere if things weren't up to standard.
  5. They'll appoint Chloe and they're Doomed.
  6. Geez HJ do you have no sense of propriety? Due what?
  7. Seriously gale force winds predicted for tomorrow - postpone a day.
  8. Chazza you have my sympathy with regard to your ownership experiences. I've been there and had a number of disappointments because of poorly managed and presented tracks. I'm not gaslighting you. I'm interested in a balanced debate and I have a passion for data. I commend you on your work even though it is inaccurate and doesn't include a measure of variance. I see after my prodding you have corrected the two turn vs one turn stats (or manipulated them?). If you want a rock solid case for your hypothesis then you do need to include other variables like trainers. In the thoroughbred world it is well known (yes I don't have the data) that the likes of Gai Waterhouse have a high attrition rate with young horses. Nothing to do with tracks but they way they train them.
  9. The average and median are up. Don't forget Book 1 was bigger this year by about 40 horses.
  10. Interesting research has been done on "plain hunches" in many areas. If you asked someone straight off why they chose a particular horse they'd say a hunch or because I liked it. But if you spent some considerable time with them and asked the right questions you'd find that their mind went through a process which added up a whole lot of positives.
  11. So you are not interested in all the variables? Going by your answer and the tenor of your posts in general your issue is more with GRNZ than finding the root causes of your assessed injury rates.
  12. The forecast for New Plymouth for the next 24 hours is for lots of rain. They've recently cancelled or deferred meetings for less reason. Why not postpone the meeting until Sunday? Surprisingly the track is a G4 this morning.
  13. How shallow. I'd be wary of buying a horse led by a distraction. Maybe I'm different but my focus is on the conformation and attitude of the horse in the sales ring. Bit like punting really - takes an effort to eliminate bias.
  14. So in Chazza's statistics is there a difference in injury rates between trainers?
  15. That isn't what I've read in some science papers on the subject.
  16. In effect you are.
  17. But your only solution is to slay the Tall Poppy! The Yole situation is a completely different scenario.
  18. Give @holy ravioli a call - it's called socialism. Why don't the rest get better?
  19. It would be hard to find someone more honest and with as much integrity as Tim Williams in NZ Harness Racing. CeeMeNow has a history. I wouldn't be surprised if it his him that feeds @Archie Butterfly. As for the aspersions cast against Tim's father Brent who is on the RIB board by CeeMeNow and @Archie Butterfly well again Brent is a very good friend of one of my mates. Brent is as honest as the day is long. As a Board member he has zero influence on individual judicial decisions. Just pure crap to infer otherwise.
  20. Why is it a bad look? You would have to create specific unfair rules to stop it.
  21. A gracillus injury is common and often the result of poor training oor insufficient warm-ups. Occurs most often between start and top speed. It's like a rugby player pulling a hamstring.
  22. But it's not the only error. Plus your methodology is somewhat flawed.
  23. Where are your Hinsdale statistics?
  24. But your statistical analysis is full of mistakes and flawed. Even you have admitted that.
