  1. Self-aggrandisement can be symptomatic of an over inflated ego or a healthy one. In your case stating you are "well informed" it is probably the former condition. With regard to well informed what's the inside story on progress in achieving the $170m?
  2. Actually I'm coming to your rescue @JJ Flash - bringing oxygen supplies and social interaction for you.
  3. I just read a report that a noise complaint was made and the Police responded. There were six people fined by the Police. The Racing Authorities were notified by a third party connected to the Police. So I doubt they will get an extra month as any of those that had attended would assume that Racing Victoria had got all the information from the Cops.
  4. NZ can't afford it and I doubt the population will remain compliant forever. In terns of compliance there are cracks emerging everywhere.
  5. Looks like they will get an extra month taking it to 4 months because they didn't mention Zahra and someone else were there as well.
  6. I think the owner is stretching the truth somewhat. Trying to keep making a buck anyway they can. There is a stay at home order full-stop.
  7. True. At this rate NZ will never reopen. Suggest if any of your horses have talent then get them to OZ.
  8. The reason Northland is lumped in with Auckland at the moment is that a cleaner working at the rest home in Warkworth tested positive. The same cleaning company cleans for Northpower. So even though Warkworth is 100km from Whangarei the whole of Northland is locked down.
  9. Although @curious given your age and the fact you have been a heavy smoker it is probably advisable for you to get vaccinated. My primary concern is and always has been the vaccination of under 16 year olds. The long term safety data just isn't available yet. Given they have next to no risk, much much less than the flu, then I believe it is unethical to vaccinate them.
  10. Well the risk of getting struck by lightning is greater but then not going outside in a thunder storm stops that.
  11. Do what exactly? If you think we can eliminate Covid-19 forever then you are dreaming.
  12. First Vaccine related death. https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/coronavirus/126225003/covid19-woman-with-medical-issues-dies-from-myocarditis-rare-side-effect-of-pfizer-vaccine
  13. You could lend him yours but then you have the slogans reversed.
  14. Let alone the fact that they would likely have been down to ride on Thursday somewhere or at the very least Friday. The talk from the anonymous cleaners that the place was completely trashed and that "steam cleaners and a mobile pool cleaner were required to clean the place" smells of BS. I would have thought that the AirBnB would have been thoroughly cleaned after renting anyway given that Victoria is in a lockdown. Which also begs the question if there is a "stay at home" order for Melbourne why the hell was AirBnB renting places? Go figure! Here is a picture of the backyard.
  15. LOL telling the truth or ego showboating? What was he hoping to achieve by publicly announcing that the All Blacks were there during the period of interest? Assuming of course that they were actually there.
  16. Hence he isn't banned from BOAY. However what I do find irritating is what is obviously his disdain and lack of respect for BOAY and its members by his contrived juvenile writing style. He doesn't write like that on his Twitter feed so why do it here? Perhaps more importantly is his extremely sexist posts and consequently his denigration of females often in a vain attempt at humour. Oh and we can't overlook his fixation on events and continual relitigation of things that have happened in the past. For example the Kevin Miles episode that happened over 20 years ago!!!
  17. That's a cop out. It doesn't excuse the fact that the "random" sample is skewed. The question is why? The % of samples from each region should have been the same % as that regions population weighting.
  18. Ok I paraphrased..... This study provides robust, serological evidence of New Zealand's successful elimination strategy ahead of vaccine roll-out
  19. BTW I'm naturally sceptical of a research paper that makes political conclusions I.e. "this study proves that the New Zealand lockdown strategy has been successful...."
  20. Second Flaw: They only tested for IgG antibodies in the first instance but did do further antibody type investigation on the positive samples. IgG testing alone does not prove there has been a past infection of Covid-19. A number of reasons for this: IgG levels rapidly drop off; This is accentuated in asymptomatic cases of Covid-19 where in some cases IgG is not produced and in most they decline more rapidly than symptomatic cases. Research shows that at least 40% of asymptomatic cases become sero-negative to IgG very quickly. Even symptomatic cases show a rapid decline with about 10% becoming sero-negative during the recovery phase of their illness; I'm not sure but focussing on the Spike protein response is flawed......I need to do more research on that BUT we have seen the antibody response to those vaccines e.g. Pzifer that focus on the Spike protein.
  21. Geezus Freda - are good flatmates that hard to get in Christchurch?
  22. First flaw: Am I correct that the sampling is skewed i.e. Auckland and Waikato are significantly underrepresented in the sample?
  23. Before I start on that don't you find it disturbing that 6 of the seropositive samples were traced back to CONFIRMED Covid-19 cases? Aside from the questions it raises about the "randomness" of the sampling I would have thought that given the relatively short time frame of the pandemic that Covid-19 recovered individuals would be excluded from being blood donors?
  24. I take it you are not a scientist? Don't you see the flaws in the survey?
  25. I've just worked out what has happened with @Thomass - being a compliant individual he took the Princess in to get vaccinated. But she had an adverse experience and he has found the whole experience deflating.
