  1. 48 hours of close supervision, blood sampling on entry to the retention barn PLUS post race swabbing would identify any drug based performance enhancers. Your reference to "red cells of racehorses" infers "blood doping". Which particular techniques are you referring to? If you are referring to EPO then it would be impossible to administer without detection.
  2. I wouldn't let Thomarse worry you. The fact is very few understand him mostly because he seems to live in a fantasy world. One of his fantasies is that he belongs to the elite of racing and that Thoroughbred Racing is the only true form of racing and is the "Sport of Kings". That misguided sense of entitlement has him believing that if it was for the good grace of the elite Harness Racing wouldn't have a sport let alone earn revenue from the TAB. His memory doesn't accept that without Harness there wouldn't have been a TAB in NZ.
  3. Incentivise is warming into favouritism for both the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups. Some pundits are recommending him but to do so you would have to ignore the similar path that Vow and Declare took to a second on the Caulfield Cup and a win in the Melbourne Cup. Vow and Declare carried 54kg to win the Tatts Cup and was given 52.5kg in the Caulfield Cup in which he ran second. He then carried 52kg to win the Melbourne Cup. Incentivise carried a kg more in the Tatts Cup at 55kg. Given the likely absence of the foreign horses you would expect Incentivise to receive enough weight from the handicapper to secure a Caulfield Cup start. That and the fact he is ideally placed to pick up a lead up race.
  4. Geez you don't let up on the conspiracy theories do you. Show us the evidence?
  5. That won't change until others get their crap together. You can't ban excellence or regulate against it in harness racing. Although I guess someone like Ardern could try.
  6. You are being paranoid @Jones aka @Karrots. I often get random calls from spam numbers. Unless of course Karrots you have something to hide from the CCP!! You are getting more mysterious by the hour!!! That number you posted is not an active number. The lecturers mentioned in the article are a bit paranoid anyway (Noakes and Brady) and border on being left-wing political themselves!!! Some irony in that they as pro-freedom and anti CCP advocates would seek to ban people from their lectures! In my days at University it was open slather whose lectures you went to although Joe Safety-Frames lectures on concrete manufacture at Lincoln College weren't overly popular with the political activists or the CCP I imagine. Unless the CCP objected to Joe Safety-Frame's view that Chinese cement was crap and NZ produced the best in the world!
  7. You don't have to go anywhere. HRNZ don't know who @Jones or @Karrots is and as I haven't a clue who you are then they have no show of finding out even WITH a court order which is what they would require for me to tell them who you are. LOL I'm still waiting for someone to give me a token share in a horse - 1 out of a thousand shares would be enough and I'll test the waters of the new rules!!!!

  11. Don't see any picograms there Thomarse. So who got what and how much in the last month in Hong Kong?
  12. What's your point? Hong Kong is a closed system. All the horses are stabled on the same piece of land. There is only one veterinary clinic. Are you proposing such a system for all racing jurisdictions? Regardless since you are right on top of all the treatments in Hong Kong can you post data on what therapeutics are used, how often they are prescribed and in what volumes?
  13. Then take your horses to Hong Kong. Lock them up in an artificial sterile environment where they don't see or gallop on a grassy green paddock for the rest of their racing career if not the rest of their life. Hong Kong needs you Thomarse. Get your vaccination and go!
  14. Why are you ignoring the 100% increase in the number of horses racing?
  15. Do you think that it might have had something to do with the change in the denominator? The number of starters per year went from 29,000 in 1960 to over 80,000 in 1985. Between 1960 and 1975 the number of starters went from 29,000 to 58,000 I.e. doubled. Once again Thomarse you've proven statistics are not your forte.
  16. Obviously a cheat and once it gets used to the blinkers will revert to type.
  17. Yep two weeks makes all the difference. Seriously though Incentivise is like Verry Elleegant in racing style. Gawks around but needs to see their opponents. I'd have the gawking anyday over the blindfolds.
  18. Would you rather they weren't treated or treated with steroids instead? Afterall Voltaren is a NSAID i.e. non-steriod anti-inflammatory. Do you actually care about Equine health and welfare?
  19. Do you have the details on approved drug use volume in Hong Kong? Or are you just making things up again?
  20. Well they certainly wouldn't think of transferring an underwater meeting at Awapuni to the great winter track at Foxton at short notice.
