  1. The TAB probably do by laying off on it.
  2. If the statutory takeout rate for the Win pool is 15.5% and the pool quoted above is $780 and a $1 unit is bet on one horse - what will the dividend be for that horse? Same question with the Place Pool where the takeout is 15.5% (don't know why they would be different) and the pool is $40 what will the place dividend be for one horse that only has $1 a place on it? NOTE: The statutory takeouts for commingled pools are different - 14.5% and 14.25% respectively.
  3. Rule Number(s): 869(3)(b)Following the running of Race 9, the Leo May Memorial Trot, an Information was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mr S Mulcay against Open Driver, Mr W Higgs, alleging a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that on the final bend he shifted outwards and contacted the sulky wheel of THAT’S THE STORY, causing his horse, ... 4. Nope you are making the same mistakes that our track managers are. Structure has three components which affects the other three that you mention - drainage, water, food (minerals).
  5. Yes but you are using mechanical methods to fix an underlying problem - the soil structure is fucked. Tell me - how many farmers don't rest their paddocks and grow sacrificial crops to improve soil structure nowadays? Reefton you don't put compost into your vege garden just to add nutrients.
  6. Nope. If he does indeed have "goss to share" he can share it publicly. Otherwise it is just gossip. Harness racing seems to be very good at bringing down its own. If he is sure of his "sources" and what "he knows" then he should share it.
  7. Nope JJ lost his privilege of using PM. That happened when I was informed that he was actively promoting and trying to encourage posters to move to another site and making derogatory comments. The PM function isn't a right nor is removing it a conflict with the principle of free speech. Now he will say that is hypocrisy on my part as I condoned it when others did it when moving here. That is not correct either. Not only did I not have the power to stop people I didn't condone or encourage it.
  8. But you, who apparently knows more than the rest of us, is happy to be a "secret squirrel".
  9. FFS what are you actually smoking? Happy to spread information in private messages using this forum but not post publicly what you know. Which means one of two things - you actually know nothing or what you think you know wouldn't stand up to scrutiny. As for INCA - have you found anyone guilty yet?
  10. Good post Mikie. I think one of JJ's J's must be Joseph as in Goebels - Minister of Propaganda. The fact is the TAB has shifted costs to the codes which makes them look good but overall the industry isn't better off. In fact with the duplication of resources you would say it is worse off. The conspiracist in me suggests that this favours the Thoroughbred code as they have the assets to pilfer and also a more wealthy owner and breeder group.
  11. Oh now you know something.....we've all seen that before. I don't have time for works of fiction! Of course you don't post your erudite cogent analysis of the financials because you know you will be torn to shreds!
  12. Geez it's like drawing teeth! Any more detail? Why don't you post it here? Or do you prefer your own echo chamber? I assure you I'm not banned from any forum and those that are tend to wear that as a badge of honour. I choose where I want to post.
  13. Brilliant so the fact is you were conveying you knew more than the rest of us but in fact you know SFA!
  14. Or at least until a finalised plan was available to fix the turf tracks at Ellerslie, Te Rapa, Awapuni, Trentham and Riccarton. BTW do they still race at Trentham?
  15. You go first after all you stated first there was more to it and you have "respectable sources" even if they do use the "bush telegraph".
  16. If you are confident of the veracity of your "news" then post it. After all the truth is a good defence.

  22. Have McCutcheon or Ching chaired a hearing? As long as I can remember there have been non legal people involved but the chair seems to always have legal training especially on complex issues. You must admit it is a bit of an overkill to have a QC deliberating on a whip charge that has been admitted and where penalty has been set by precendent.
  23. Not true. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/hawkes-bay-today/news/from-bar-to-bench-napier-prosecutor-jo-rielly-becomes-a-judge/FABAWKDMYO6KXMMW55JVR2KK7M/#:~:text=The appointment has been announced,in Napier on June 11.
