  1. With the polyester you will need a cold iron.
  2. Sportsbet are indicating problems but only on Tote. They have Fixed Odds available. I guess the Bookies have got the old chalk and board out and working overtime. LOL if the tote doesn't come back on they will have nowhere to lay off their liabilities! But haven't all races been delayed today? They decided that yesterday.
  3. Ok just read something about a power surge precipitating the issue. If that was the case and power UPS's couldn't handle smoothing the power then the servers would trip out. The problem then would be a smooth relaunch. That sort of thing is hard to test for and not often given the worst case test. So the servers (they'll be clustered virtual servers) could be trying to do transaction recovery and reconciliation. With a large system that can take a considerable amount of time if it hasn't been designed right.
  4. Unlikely to be a power outage as whole data centres would be out. If it is and backup power sources have failed then I'd say there'll be some senior managers looking for work. Doubt it would be a China hack.
  5. Shit you must have looked hard to find this Thread. I guess gravity and time takes everyone below ground eventually.
  6. Really? I've seen far worse comments thrown around amongst mates than you two have ever thrown at each other.
  7. Mehe have you picked any hitch hikers up lately?
  8. Bollocks what did I say that wasn't true and defends Brodie?
  9. Then why take up a personal crusade and bash your head against the wall? If it was in a pub everyone at the locals table would tell you both to can it or there'd be a scrap and you'd all get bluies!
  10. I'm not going to call YOU a liar because that is your opinion but if you can really compare yesterday's track with this picture then.....well....
  11. Yeah I just did the numbers 7 starters 4 wins and 1 placing.
  12. Correct it wasn't a LIE - I quoted Rodley who was wrong and I didn't fact check. The point I was making was if there are 12 runners in a race and you have 6 of them then you should be expected to win. In that regard Terri Rae had a great day 4 winners from 7 starters!
  13. In my opinion the first two horses in the Guineas look special - Aegon looks and races so much like his sire Sacred Falls. Sacred Falls was one of my favourites and given his breeding I thought he would make a great sire. His death was a big loss to the industry. Aegon's finish was top shelf. If you read the stipes report he had to overcome a lot to get a clear run but still managed to win. Bourbanaire is a great looking animal too. Listening to those who have seen him up close he looks a stunner of a colt. Aegon contacted him badly in the home straight and he lost his balance but picked up and kept going. Nice effort. Marine a top effort after clipping heels. It happened at the 1100m in the race. The very top liners can recover from that and win although McNab nearly went over the top. He was having trouble settling him just prior to that. The Stipe vision will be interesting. In my opinion none of them are Derby types. So will all three have a break now and follow the normal pattern - Guineas races in NZ early in the new year and then off to OZ? CBRY-R08-071120.mp4
  14. I think they did look at it. But Oppie slowing up wasn't what caused the issues behind him. They nailed Jonathan Parkes for that and if you look at the replay you can see why. The race didn't have an obvious pace maker other than Need I Say More who they had doubts over running out the 1600m. So Oppie slowed them up but I don't think excessively. In my open the first two horses look special - Aegon looks and races so much like his sire Sacred Falls. 15. Recollecting Rodley said 25 or 27.... Perhaps the 25 was referring to the number of acceptances. No disrespect Pitty I've given credit where credit is due and have often posted that you are a great trainer. But seriously don't ALL trainers develop or personally purchase their horses from scratch? I didn't realise you have never bought from the Ready-to-Run sales. Yes the locals had a great day - a great day for Canterbury and a great day for the South Island. As Cup week always is. Just as on the first day of the carnival the locals/South Islanders win 70% or more of the races.
  16. You can now. But I suggest you let it go. Your need to prove yourself right is becoming obsessive. It is a slippery slope on social media and doesn't help your health.
  17. Bullshit Pitty. I meant to write runners not winners. I've now edited my post. The 27 I quoted from Aiden Rodley on Trackside. I didn't bother to check it. Bit like Rodley's picks! Is that the reason you dragged him aside for a chat. Was it to correct him or call him a LIAR? Either way I did count the number of runners you had in that race - 6 out of 12. I also congratulated you. BUT NEVER NEVER CALL ME A LIAR! If we took that line then your call that the track on 3 October was a "good 3 and in excellent order" would make you a LIAR rather than an opinionated marketer would it not? It would also make all the posters who disagreed with you LIAR!
  18. Yep top effort especially the smaller stables with their win to starters ratio. The only thing that would have topped off the day was a CWJ win or three!
  19. How are synthetic polymers e.g. polyester benign to the environment and groundwater? Aren't they microplastics that persist in the environment? Just asking. As for the silica sand - I hope they check it for snakes, spiders and other OZ nasties before spreading it around.

  21. But you must admit Pitty does have a plan. He can double the size of his stable and Cup week he'll fill the fields!
  22. The big fella upstairs is doing his bit too!
  23. His second so far. Mind you he did have 6 out of 12 runners in the last race! He has 27 horses in today he must be run ragged!
