  1. You don't know Mehe. You haven't provided any proof that they didn't.
  2. No he didn't say they had he said they ALL had underlying conditions.
  3. Correct. Those that have died have died because their hearts and or lungs have given up. Covid-19 may have precipitated the cause but isn't the cause.
  4. No but you only post to have a go at Brodie. Now what I object to in this instance has nothing to do with Brodie but the fact that you are stating as fact something that you have no idea about. Nor can you provide proof of what you have said. Now your misinformation may be the flavour of the month but that doesn't mean it's true!

  8. Mehe - they may have been working but "healthy" is a subjective term. You have no idea about pre-existing health conditions, medication they may have been on (e.g. hypertension medication), family history and so on and so on. People don't die of Covid-19 they die from an underlying condition. For example my mother died in her late 50's - she got a bad case of the flu and 18 months later her heart gave out. Did she die of the flu? Or did she die of coronary heart disease? Given her family history of coronary problems and the fact that she was a prolific smoker most of her loss I'd say she didn't die of the flu.
  9. Forget it Mehe. I've quickly re-read about 5 articles and none of them talk about their overall health.
  10. It's not actually the title said it was from the NZ Herald! What is the title of the article?
  11. I've deleted that attachment Mehe because it is a file that has not extension and is large. Who would know where it came from. Try again but post a link.
  12. You post it. You must have it at your finger tips since you are so sure of it.
  13. I've split the Covid-19 debate into another Topic hoping that this Topic on the NZ Trotting Cup stays on subject. I also think that the Christchurch Covid-19 situation and possible impact on Cup week should be debated.
  14. The SAFE person prattling on about it on the news now blames the whip! I say don't budge an inch otherwise enjoy a future eating sprouts, drinking green tea (no milk), no international travel and gazing at the moon praying for the climate to change.
  15. How do YOU know? I think you'll find Dr Mehe you are wrong.
  16. Surprisingly only 12 fatalities in 20 years yet they can have 40 horses in the field.
  17. Geez if only Verry Elleegant had been a bit closer and got a run earlier. She flew home! Fastest last 600m sectional. Definitely got the two miles.
  18. Has anyone else noticed that there doesn't seem to be any Trackside presenters on course at Ellerslie today? It appears that they are operating from the studio at Te Rapa. Is it really cost cutting or convenient for those Waikato people? Have you noticed that anyone interviewed at Ellerslie is holding the microphone and has a headset on? I.e. there is only a cameraman from Trackside?
  19. He's on fire today! Third winner at Wingatui! Perhaps he should be tested?
  20. I've narrowed it down to 5 and have left the favourite out AND my favourite horse VE. I just don't get why all the money is rushing into Tiger Moth. Coming from an Irish winter surely he must be feeling the 30 degrees in Melbourne today!
  21. OK well that put the mockers on that horse. Will refrain from commenting further. So is that 6 to go for CWJ?
  22. Two wins so far today and on the hot favourite in the next!
  23. Rule Number(s): Rule 632(1)Following the running of the ROGER GILL MITSUBISHI 1200 an Information Requesting a Ruling was lodged by Ms S Collett the rider of SHOWOROSES alleging that SHOWOROSES did not receive a fair start. The Information was lodged pursuant to Rue 632(1) which provides: If, in the opinion of the Judicial ... (Feed generated with FetchRSS)View the full article
  24. How do you know they haven't? Plus Riccarton wasn't a G3 on 3 October. How do you know they didn't complain? Anyway Avondale got caned as the meeting was abandoned after 5 races due to rain on the hard surface. Seems they have been ground hogging ever since. As for the 2yr old - a four horse race and an easy win which helps with Karaka Millions entry. Trainers don't have many choices and often don't get accurate track information.
  25. I just eliminated him from my selections on the basis he hasn't beaten anything of note plus his best runs have been on a soft track. By Cup time the track should be a G3. Also has had hoof filler applied....which puts me off on a hard track. Arguably his best performance was in last years cup on a soft track.
