  1. Thanks for that, will be a dish I guess, hence no coverage.
  2. Haven't got the racing channel on my mum's freeview box, it's an older one, do you have to do a special chanel search or something else to get it, definitely not there.
  3. Good to hear, I always like to know the stakes, overall it certainly hasn't spun my wheels as yet, seems to be very crammed up, is it still tied up with the original crowd paddy power I think it was, and the mega price of the set up and to maintain.
  4. Agree, bloody crying shame waimate not being able to use its track, especially after they renewed the grandstand as well, do they still use it for harness racing, if not, what has become of the facility
  5. Won't be a call of hats off to him, surely a warning would have been a starting point, they tend to book the lesser known drivers.
  6. Very poor effort by tab for not showing allowances, I hope it wasn't on all races, as the longshot wheelitin had a 4kg claimer, it maybe a tool for them to get your money easier.
  7. Nice ride from the 2nd placed horse in the last race as well, talked myself out of backing wheelitin, thought the field was abit strong, another good ride, albeit did have a light weight care of 4kg claimer, nice win.
  8. Be interesting if she breeds anything that can run, no guarantees in this game, however much you spend.
  9. Very tough effort, and rarely seen over the extreme distance, as like many other good mares, never left any good progeny, from the broodmare paddock.
  10. Interesting I'm sure armalight won her first race at Westport trots back in the day.
  11. Remember back in the day, they used to jump the sod wall in the great Weston steeplechase, another iconic race of the era that was just lost in time, very sad to see the jumping game disappear from the deep south, these day the jumps that are left seen to be much smaller, to be fair there probably more dangerous than the bigger ones of old, they had to actually to steady sight an leap the bigger ones, the smaller one they just pop over albeit alot quicker, hence some horses get a little cocky, just a few of my thoughts.
  12. They do ask questions on a longshot when there's a form reversal, not sure what they expect to be told, and also have no qualms the odd time telling a driver what they should have done during the running, or in there opinion, made an error of judgement, so technically they do say how a horse should be driven.
  13. On another note, I see your heartbreak hotel in the money today, and at juicy odds to, got to keep the faith brother,
  14. Interesting was just about to mention the dumb questions they do ask, or when a favourite runner gets a tough wide trip, then they question the driver, things just don't add up sometimes.
  15. Yeah he could of gone earlier and taken what happened out of play, after not spending a penny, no help to the punter now of course, having witnessed so many races or controversial ones, have like yourself looked for to answers in stipes report, but for most incidents have been left very disappointed at the lack of hard questions asked, hows that new biscuit tin going, looked way to nice to bury in the back garden.

The favourite a bit disappointing one must say, seemed to have his chance did meet a very good field all the same,
  17. Unfortunately the stipes report often disappoint, watched the replay, didn't make his own luck for sure, no excuses, the winner sat parked the trip, and was a very good performance.
  18. Fortune favours the brave, very brave in this case
  19. Yep strange old world we live in walt, things certainly not like they used to be, one must be careful, reminded me of the baby buffaloe who said to his dad, are you gay dad, his reply was no I'm bi son.
  20. Might just chase a few more away from the game.
  21. An oldie but a goodie, feel free to use, apologies to anyone it may offended thought long and hard about posting it,
  22. Yep, hopefully I remember where they are, the aulsebrook tin didn't lasted longer than the griffins ones, mind you seems like cash on the way out, not king as they used to say, some banks not even excepting it thes days, crazy, remined me of a friend that got s 100$ tattoo on his doodle, asked why, he said he could play with his money, also keep it in hand, and didn't mind his wife blowing a hundred dollars everyday.
  23. Ah the old aulsebrook biscuit tin, that's a nice one, one time they were used to stash your loot, some buried in mysterious places.
  24. Not to mention the councils around nz are broke, and rates are forecast to rise significantly power and insurance mortgage rates all high, so the battle for the dollar is going to be a tough one, I'm just pleased to have employment.
  25. He certainly was a master of training and breeding of the square gaiters, and some of his breed are still running around no doubt, very nice list performers you've mentioned, remember feeling sad hearing of his health, and the pending dispersal sale at the time, certainly missed amongst the ranks.
