  1. Apparently, from what has been said, they have appealed the fine. Odd question to ask when you have knowledge about the situation and ask about Godber in all of this. As for responsibility, it is very rare for anyone to take responsibility for anything they do so they are no different. Maybe they aren't guilty, who would truly know. Who is trying to get a comment from Mr Godber? In what context do you ask that question? What do you want him to say?
  2. From a driving perspective, should she have so close to home?
  3. I doubt she would have given up the lead if it were not a stable runner.
  4. $6...It does happen though. Even the All-Stars can through up a good price now and again but it is usually with stable runners in the race. The other 2 year olds drawn well took a lot of money so it was a good contest down to the wire.
  5. Why wait till after the race...lol Liberal Arden and Real Dash in next on a windy day. Liberal Arden goes out to lead and then Real Dash gives it trail and Liberal Arden goes up the passing and on to win Common sense or dirty tactics? I go the common sense path
  6. I can say the same about Pirate Bay last night too. You were not far away from first either Globe. Nothing worse than 4th...
  7. Nice work Sir G. Shame about the scratching.
  8. Oh, Globe.....Where is our multi....
  9. I went last time at Cambridge. To check it out and see how the day was there. Always enjoy Cambridge. It is a fun track to watch and the Jewels was no exception. I would rather go there than Ashburton! Rightly or wrongly, The domination of the All-Stars doesn't make it enticing enough to venture there again.
  10. Not an All-Star in sight. Has Brodie made it onto the radio or is it Globe?! Whoever it was, deserves to be outed with those tips.
  11. Yes, I did. Extreme Stride starting, in the end, maintained the original quote. Thought it was a good price and never expected it to beat the hot pot once starting. Good to be back into the betting and watching. Never a truer word was spoken, Globe.
  12. Race 4: Bettor Rock Again at 8FF and 2 50FF Back to mobile, will sit in behind the rest and and get a nice run before he joins in, seems a tractable type on a smaller track. I'm in. Each way.
  13. But it is not, so have gone a bit tentative on The Director. Pirate Bay at $ 4 20FF for the place in the last appeals a bit more now.
  14. Not too bad but Summer Wealth (at $2 00 ?) isn't a superstar so a trail might have been nice. Not too sure as I don't follow the northern trots but from its days in Southland I would think Summer Wealth would need all the help it can get.
  15. Best front line draw in ages. Gate speed that won't have to be used too much so can be used for the end of the race. Was no chance last week after early muck up but right in this. Good value. Especially when it is compared to Paravani, drawn 6 on the second line but still at 11 FF ?
  16. Race 2 The Director. $4.20FF a place. Drawn 2 so will lead. Other favourites are drawn wide and may stay there or he could take a trail. Second line horses shouldn't present a challenge. Presuming Extreme Stride is scratched but would beat it out of the gate anyway. ?
  17. $1.75 FF Get into Brodie, it is just your cup of tea lol.
  18. Would go out a $2 FF favourite if it starts after last week. Drawn 1 wouldn't be flash though and would be extremely interesting to see what pressure the outside horses would put on it. Hope it scratched as it will be a better betting race.
  19. Oh, so not on ratings? I am a bit shy of knowledge of these things.
  20. Why is Extreme Stride 2nd emergency in race 1 on Friday?
  21. Back in the day...next u will be telling us you took the trolley bus to Forbury via south Dunedin....
  22. A, B or C, gentlemen. A) The fact a horse tries to bite another horse in the home straight in Hong Kong http://www.scmp.com/sport/racing/article/2145462/horse-bites-man-mister-monte-attacks-jockey-umberto-rispoli-race-happy B) The fact Forbury has deep drains so close to the race track - watch the start of the race and look at the back of the field. Could have been a disaster with the horse pushed down off the track https://harness.hrnz.co.nz/gws/ws/r/infohorsews/wsd06x?Arg=hrnzg-Ptype&Arg=RaceVideo&Arg=hrnzg-RacehdrID&Arg=252720 C) The fact Gavin Smith hits his own stable runner with his whip during a trial. Video is missing from the trials but it will get put on eventually now the decision has been made I imagine! Driver G Smith (BRONX VILLAGE) was fined $750 by the JCA after admitting a breach of Rule 869(2) for using his whip to strike another runner (REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY) near the 200 metres during Race 12 at the North Canterbury TOA meeting on 9 May 2018. I will go for B. I have always been spooked by that. A and C don't surprise me much. Explainable in their own way ?
  23. If you want information Mr Guerin's twitter feed is a good place to go. Michael Guerin‏ @GuerinSports May 11 More One of the greatest Tony Herlihy feeling bit sore in Auckland Hospital today after breaking four ribs in a race smash @AlexandraPark last night. Expected to be released tomorrow.
  24. If I saw correctly, Living Legend hands up to its stablemate Pat Campbell who leads for the rest of the race at Timaru. Is that stable driving? No, and certainly no more than the Dunns or anyone else. Sometimes we see it when we pay attention but most of the time it slips right past us.
  25. He will sleep well after racing twice today. At least his row of duck eggs is broken. I wonder how many would back it in its second race of the day? The TAB only put him at 46FF in his second start compared to his first start of 51FF. You would think if they paid attention they would have had him at 100FF. How many horses have won in their second start of the day?
