  1. Watch it again, are you losing it?
  2. At least you are consistent, I suppose. Consistently negative. I have spoken to a couple of people who attended todays racing, nothing but positivity about the day. I guess it's just easy to sit at home and be critical of everything. I thought Winston's interview was just great, the negative doomsayers will not agree. Congrats to Cambridge JC dreams do turn in to reality, I am so looking forward to the magnificent training facilities we will have at Riccarton, yes!!! Dreamer that I am
  3. Yes Pam do not disagree with negativity personified, you at least walked the track and know what you are talking about, not like one person that all he wants to do is make negative comments, he wouldn’t know!!!
  4. You’ve missed the bus You're too late Its all happening, how do you sleep at night worrying? The Riccarton AWT you said wouldn’t happen is about to burst in to reality For delusional dreamers like me it’s going to be fantastic FYI that’s brown top grass on the steeplechase track it goes dormant in the winter looks like that every year and with some recent rain and a couple of decent dews it is now starting to grow and “green up” like it does every year GOOGLE UP HORLICKS Japan Cup win you’ll see what I mean
  5. mr negativity doing what he does best
  6. Probably delusional!! BUT we don’t have too many issues with racing at Riccarton with 29 winners and many placings (including placings in both Gp1 Guineas races) this season we are ok with how the track has been Always remember “Winners are grinners” When did you last have a winner, with your constant negativity I guess it was a long time ago
  7. You are right, I am a dreamer, have been all my life. Dreamed a lot of things, BUT, it’s great when those dreams turn in to realities (as Tony Lee once said). My previous posting are all facts You may not like being told this but no need to get personal because it’s not what you want to be told but those are the facts this is happening sooner than you want it to be
  8. It sure is we will have fantastic training facilities ( only 250 - 300 horses) swimming pool, beach close to facilities, approx. 30+ meetings a year, trials/jump outs on a regular basis. Very little travel, oh it’s going to be great!!! No angst, you’re the biggest moaning critic of all can you show me your last positive posting!!!! Riccarton not a great Winter track but come summer time when it’s firm best track in NZ The Guineas are safe at Riccarton that has already been established Make sure you watch Cambridge our track here will be bigger and better, you beauty!!!!!! AND we will also have a new grass training/galloping track as a bonus, bring it on really looking forward to our new upgraded modern facilities, YES ALSO, Don’t forget stake increases are on their way
  9. One only needs to look at the progress in building the AWT and the new galloping grass training track (bonus) to realise there are plenty of positives happening at Riccarton, much to some peoples angst.😘👍🏇🍷
  10. Why is closest to the inside (running rail) not the shortest (quickest) way home at certain tracks? Even when listed as a good 3
  11. As all race days are going to be industry days in the winter months we will have very few runners if any BUT what a great training and trialing facility YES!!!
  12. Perhaps the AWT racing, training and trial facility would have been better built out West Melton way, just past Paparua Prison and Riccarton could have been developed as Ellerslie has, selling/renting various areas for future income streams and having no horses trained there. Bit late now.
  13. A blind imbecile without a functioning brain cell would know the bottom photo is not taken where they race!! So now you are calling maintenance renovation!!
  14. Doesn't need renovating, just needs less water and maybe aeration, less use in the winter MAY also assist
  15. chiefly you seem hell bent on belittling the AWT's, I don't think you have supported the installation of any let alone 3 Why do you not contact the CJC and ask them about the business plan Please stop making things up to suit yourself, where have I ever said/quoted 14 meetings on the AWT, that's one a week for 3 and a half months. Please provide proof I said this or are you lying AGAIN! Yes licences will be taken from certain clubs, do I agree, NOT ENTIRELY. One club due for closure is Timaru I do not think for one minute this should happen, they have a good track good facilities and are in a good location
  16. chiefy FYI Freda and I calculated this morning that there is approx 250 horses training regularly at Riccarton so it will not take much to increase to the figure I am suggesting of 300 I presume your comment re numbers of meetings forecast was directed at me - so how many did I say? - Seeing you think you know everything
  17. Not when it is a good three, its the best firm track in NZ
  18. monthly track fees generated, rent and trial fees over and above these figures
  19. it will only need 50 or 60 extra horses
  20. I know no more than you but I'm being positive, as always. I have been privy to no more information than any other local trainers, but as you know I am in favour of the AWT as an alternative racing and training facility especially during the winter, also we are getting a new grass galloping track as well.
  21. WELL IT LOOKS VERY PROFITABLE - DESPITE WHAT YOU SAY - SO CAN ONLY HELP
