  1. Really like it when we get input like this here & have disliked it when people just because of knowing someones identity come on & be mean towards a certain poster. This Gamms & I have spoken about privately & both agreed we dislike it. Not cool. Great to have Fitzgerald post re input. Im on my out so don't care will call it as I see it.
  2. Think that is you saying you are going to miss me Brods, aww you are sweet, Ill miss many of you too! Even lil Ludwig, super sweet Ludwig liked your post. You know sometimes your posts wind me up, even if I don’t say so, but then sometimes too, love it when we agree on things & you are shouting things out from the rooftops! That I will miss! And esp Gamms a great poster and now also Taupiri too. Its been fun & entertaining to say the least & Iv loved having a voice that has been heard. If Im correct & re-read the terms … then think it maybe stretching past 30 June … as needs to go out again to consult/feedback … ? Have enjoyed bringing a positive, but objective voice to this forum. Praised things/people & hottness hahaha, when needed praising, yet equally shouted out at things that need improving. Just really enjoyed chatting online with others that share the same hobby. And mostly tried to focus on that. And of course having a quiet laugh at some of some of the fun entertaining posts that come out hahaha. That I will def miss, when its all over for me. Lets hope its not over just yet
  3. Like that story Taupiri thanx for sharing. Me personally, don't want to blatantly disrespect the rules & also do so publicly. Yes realise could in 6 months start a new profile & post using a VPN and different email. Id feel uncomfortable in doing so. Just hope they have a think about it a bit more. Iv noticed Basil also another owner has not posted in a while. 3 owners so far, have gone MIA that Iv noticed since the announcement. Of course, they could just be on a sabbatical.
  4. OMG hilarious, see what you mean Gamms, not sure if it is as Galahs said freeing ear plugs or as you say kicking horse, but reminds me of when I saw a video workout or trial of N Rass kicking horse think it may have been Italian Lads legs, she got pulled up about it too. Naughty, naughty. And also reminds me of when saw B Orange literally push a horse trotter out of the way. So his horse could get space in straight & think it won. Never knew such rules were allowed. A push and a shove lol
  5. I want another 1, so 3 altogether. Thinking a Miki or maybe, a Downbytheseasidea as see in USA has the highest number of 2 year old qualifiers or something, then next top 2 y-o qualifiers is Sweet Lou. (Thats just what saw on Woodlands page). Maybe you could get a family syndicate together or with friends 😄 Bummer you missed out on Sam is Perfection at $7k, wow that he just ran to King of Swing in BNE recently. Thats really good!
  6. Forgot to mention, just gotta get posts in before Im gagged in a week. Every race has a strongest horse in field and a weakest horse be it R40's thru to Group 1 or high profile races. Trainer can also use discretion and say to the driver should they qualify and start to get starter fee which is usually minimum of $2k so worth starting, (make sure you stay out of everyones way).
  7. Ok so had thought that it was fact, but its just speculation atm. So not fact, nor confirmed, that Camb will get to hold the next Jewels. Have thought about the pros and cons, and if I was to put in a vote I would reluctantly vote FOR, here are my reasons, 1. With it being at 1 VENUE only, it can be built up on, every year, bi-annunal makes it much harder. 2. Camb Club are by far (subjective) the best at marketing/promoting. 3. The community rallies around it and it brings business to the whole community. 4. The track with miles offers "others' not just hot pots to win, said this prior the Jewels, e.g. now South Coast Arden, Need you Know & BD Joe are all Group 1 winners. 5. Id present a subsidy to ALL travellers up from the South to help with travel costs. 6. Id also introduce an incentive to stay or both come up for the meeting at Alex prior as the lead up and then stay on for the Gems race after. Offering incentives to ALL South horses e.g. an extra $500 - $1500 for ALL that race in all 3. This could become like a carnival type thing. And help with fields in North for 5-6 weeks during this timeframe. Id vote FOR on the conditions that KPI's need to be meet, e.g. every year the turnover needs to be higher & higher, AND under NO circumstances are there to be any F. UPS. regarding customer service. ZERO. If these conditions are NOT meet then it reverts to Addington or Alex. PS Camb are still in dog-box for me, just thinking of long term future and as a whole of harness & Addington does get NZ CUP week etc. Votes are open - who is for and who is against and reasons why? 😄
  8. Oh really. That is not good re no driver available. Yikes that is a turn off for trainers noming then isn't it. Great 1 of the Wigg gals have stepped up too to nom. Id prefer if I had a horse that was higher rated to be 2700, as its pref draw & Camb being a front runners track, gives more time to mid-race move. Brodie agree with what you said in your post. See on HRNZ today a wonder announcement for a 2 month new Jnr series in special honour of a special person.
  9. Fabulous 2 trainers have stepped up. Shout out to A Matthews & either J Goodfrey or S Doody for noming. So 8 noms Jnr race will get a start 👍 Id like to highlight this give & take point, I made earlier on another thread re Sugar Apple. See they have nom-ed to get Jnrs off the ground it seems. Without them nom-ing, no Jnr race. Which is needed to prep for Jnr Champs next month. Therefore in my mind should any of these trainers have a horse that scraps in by the rules to qualify in a high-end race, even if its the lowest rated horse or weakest horse in race, then too bad they are in. Its about give and take. Not take-take-take when it suits 😄
  10. Only 6 noms for the Jnr Camb race, come on trainers, just need 2 more to get the race off the ground. Some have got the Jnr Champs coming up next month. & need to get in & get some practice prior.
  11. Tried searching for this, re HRNZ rules only had a quick look before googling & found this, written within this newspaper link. All joint injections in racehorses are now banned for eight clear days prior to racing, in comparison to the previous rule which allowed it up to one clear day of racing. https://www.odt.co.nz/star-news/star-christchurch/fridge-gas-doping-concern-horses So unlikely it was just before the race re Jewels. Prob just notifying and was 8 days prior race as per rules. Unless this news article is incorrect re stand-down times.
  12. This site is just so entertaining sometimes. Didn’t even know there was a difference between speed bumps & speed humps. Slightly off topic but funny story, when visiting Central America, there was a pot hole on a Main road - like 70-100km. They shut that side of road down for a WEEK to fix. Week later, rather than them fixing it up normally, they had mistakenly created a speed hump when filling in pot hole. No doubt would of had to shut road down again to fix normally. Imagine going 70-100 km over a kind of speed hump!
  13. Can see you are quite keen on this topic there Galahs, 5 posts hehe, all good tho, I sometimes do the same. Anyway Ill chip in, as no-one else has except Brods. Saw that re Wigg. (Naughty, naughty). Haven’t actually watched end of race to see the evidence of the crime. Surely enough time has passed now that drivers should of reverted to new rules … clearly no, or is it a case of just pushing boundaries … ? Wonder where Basil is, hasn’t posted in a while. Earth calling Basil. Wondering where that list you started Basil on whip use is with warnings, suspensions etc? Think you said you would present it after a few months. Unhinged mentioned he was keen to see it, actually I was too 😄
  14. Agree here Big Bang, 1 thing that gets me, is attacks on most likely, hard working, wholesome people, trying to make a living (long hours), in an industry that appears to be struggling. Fair dinkum to get called out when things need to get called out. But other times, kind of feel like its, flat out, mean/cyber bullying.
  15. Just watched start only replay to see what this hoo-haa is about. According to my eyeballs, Number 5 & 11 squeezed number 4 or maybe there was not enough room for 4. Anyway, so then 4 then went backward-sideways into number 10 Jenabella, who had been minding its own business. So yes agree with Galah.
  16. Thought that joint injections e.g. hock, had rule had changed to now a stand-down time of 7 days ish? Same as blood spinning 7 days ish. Could be wrong re injections but certain of it re blood spinning. Did note on RIU twitter that a couple of others were notified since their last race got injected. But noted it was after their last race. Read that as meaning be 7 days prior the next race. (Again could be wrong, so please anyone feel free to update on the correct timeframe if inaccurate - joint injections).
  17. Santa Mach was the King of the Country Cups last year 2020 North Island. When he first went North he ran into bad luck at Alex with bad draws & unlucky runs, just remember following this horse a lil. Then as soon as he got some decent luck, runs, draws & headed to out of Auckland but still in North he became the Country Cup King. Taking a look at result he won a rating 56-70 at Invercargill. Again no for me no red flag here.
  18. Ok Taupiri we can add her to our BOAY Gems list 😄 There is still another tho. Subjective of course. How did we forget D Dunn. The ultimate poster boy. HRNZ should of utilised this, like D Carter was for rugby, as pin-up boy for marketing.
  19. Just took a quick peak at this Beta than Love. Noted it is racing in the lowest rating it possibly can. Got its first win at Forbury in 2.02.8 (R45-49). No red flags from me for that. Next wins at Add on a Sunday in R45-49 still 40’s grade. Nothing eye popping for me to see there. Note it is now R57 might struggle a bit now.
  20. Just thinking, if harness becomes more syndicate driven which looks potentially on the cards & if many don't want to sell due to wanting to race enjoying experience & being split by so many people therefore they don't individually receive substantial sum, so keep horse to race in NZ. If that becomes a trend ... would that not then potentially proceed to drive export prices up? Again demand is there, but less stock available to buy. (Meaning the stock that is wanted).
  21. Iv prior thought about what is behind the improvement with Houses horses when he takes them to Mana. Have decided to myself, that there is nothing untoward. Simply he is taking them from a stronger racing region & putting them in a weaker 1 for those meetings. So in a way dropping a grade when racing at Mana. As well as he has the leading reins man on, big advantage & also has numbers in races, which increases the odds of winning or placing. Not sure about this Beta than love horse. Never see it race, but agree with Galah that most likely it hasn’t changed enough to create a red flag & other legal technics e.g. gear change or change of scenery could of helped.
  22. Who is this Gamms? You are not going to be next week, don’t know who Unhinged is lol. Agree for me as an owner its about the fun & experience never about the money. And how exciting if any of my Lou fillies make it to be as good as Spellbound. Im rolling out guys/gals for the nite with the big North win haha love it. Nite all.
  23. Hehehe do-dah-do-dah-day, Still laughing my good friend Davis at my Stonewall Stable/Telfer future prediction 😉 In 1 swoop the NORTH takes the GEMS 2 to 1. Wow, was not expecting that, BUT will take win. As mentioned prior B Butcher is such a good front running driver in North on his known tracks. Next up, Junior Drive contest North verse South. Watch out South. The North are coming. Taupiri not sure, Ill try to look & find name 😄
  24. There are a lot of hotties Gamms, Z Butcher, B Williamson, L Whittaker, A Drake, K Blakemore (she is the gal that brings the horses in to scale at Alex), N Rass (even you said Gamms she was a looker in her hey day). B Graham Taupiri has hots for hehehe. There is also a hottie female young South Island gal. I just don’t know her name. Pay compliments when compliments are due! Nothing weird or creepy here. Just calling the hotties out. Wonder if missed anyone. Actually N Hope, she is a hottie too.
  25. Iv just got the racing channel on, & they have a shot of the war torn Bosnia lol. (the Alex apartments). Oh my, just doing a stir, when I read (past tense) on other channel that some on there were saying it was war torn.
