Its all about posturing Nostro, especially where Taiwan is concerned, but this is China's backyard, and my feeling is, Britain and her allies will blink first. I would put my money on China if she decides to invade Taiwan. The days of big capital ships is over. 1 single cheap missile takes care of the biggest carrier. If they invade Taiwan, it would be with conventional weapons, thus placing the ball in the Wests court. What do they do?. My opinion is nothing, they could not win a conventional war with China, so their only option is to retaliate with nuclear weapons. They won't do that for obvious reasons. It will be checkmate.
