Yes, remember Shorty well. My dog Aqua Floss denied him his 2nd NZ Cup Gp1 at QE11 over a real race distance of 805 mtrs in the mud. He was a great dog. I had the pleasure of bringing both Shorty and his owner trainer Mike Lelliot home from Samson after they broke down on the way home after competing at Claudlands Hamilton. As for what is wrong with the game is not an answer I can give without collecting my thoughts. It is a good question, and I shall think about it before attempting an answer. Yes, a huge loss to the industry was Brian Martin, and it appears to have gone downhill ever since, lurching from one scandal to the next. In my opinion Brian was shafted. As for Schofield, what can you say, and as for the NZGRA, they allowed this situation to develop knowing full well the kennel situation. Just another example of who you are when it comes to rules and policy with the NZ Greyhound Racing Ass. It is an organization out of control, run by people that are only interested in self promotion. Whenever a problem arises, their answer is to employ some new chum to join their growing band of bureaucrats at head office. Recent scandals, and funnily they all appear to be in the Nth Island. Crooked Vet at Auckland Racing Club. Crooked Chairman of the NZGRA board. Crooked dutch rort perpetuated against the other two codes at Wanganui. Rocketship rort perpetuated by recent CEO. Board member burning pile of dead Greyhounds. Sitting on their arses, and allowing Cole saga to continue dragging the industry down, this should of been nipped in the bud at the beginning one way or the other. Now we have the Schofield saga set to drag the industry down even further. I see the TV were seeking comment from the NZGRA, yes you guessed it, nowhere to be found. You have to ask yourself, what with all these people employed at the NZGRA Ass, there appears to be no one prepared to defend the Schofield scandal. Interesting times ahead.

This is what happens when you let your private life interfere with your work. It compromises your judgment. It was the intelligence gained through the girlfriend that set the drug testing sting held on the Trainers at Addington 18 months ago. The whole episode reeked.

I got banned after 2000 plus posts. Had been a member since 2007. I had the temerity to respond to a post advertising another chat website for the dogs which had been formed because Scooby was moderating the Greyhound site out of existence. All I said was that it was good to see another site where dog chat could be had. I then get an email from Scooby telling me that if its so good, you can piss off, and he finished by saying, you are nothing but an asshole, his words. So I am very happy to see this new website.
