Chocolate Lover was 16 months old when he met his demise yesterday having 1st raceday start. He was 15 months old after winning his qualy in December.
-
And to make matters worse, Chocolate lover was a dog, and they are several months behind bitches when it comes to growth and maturity.

Great to hear Andy. Had another look at race and saw he made it round to the catch in one piece. Have all 3 falls being at Addington?. I am of the opinion that your dogs fall was caused by everything coming down to the rail going into the first bend causing tightness This is the price you pay for the banking especially over the sprint trip. All the best with your dogs.

Its there, not their Jonathon. Your punctuation and grammar are at a level with the Jonathon that has the dirty shoe's, and is deliberately slow to box dogs trying to gain a cheap advantage. You must think everybody is stupid. Time for you to morph into another nom de plume.
-
Well well well, there it is, none other than the dog farmer.
-
Honestly will not name himself Jason because he can't. But really it does not matter, because I think we all know who he is. Pretty obvious really. Come on Honestly, prove me wrong.
-
By hell, they are a sorry lot. A history of corruption and rorts, from dutch books at Wanganui, to Scott importing drugs for his dogs. They make me vomit. Just a bunch of self servers that lack vision and truth.
-
Wow Mee2, you are angry, mind you, I don't blame you, a board full of bludgers sucking on the tit. It is where failed lawyers migrate to.
-
I think eveybody knows who I am Johnathon, not afraid to put up my name just in case you don't know. How about an update on the status of the puppy Chocolate Lover. Just couldn't let it grow up could you. Hundreds of dogs, yet you cannot wait to let them grow up. And just for you, my names John Goode. Whats yours.

Agree, far to young to be racing dogs. The motivation is pure greed. These type of abusers should not be able to operate. They tarnish all those lovers of the sport with a bad name. It is this type of animal cruelty that will be what finishes the sport.

The design of the wall of death is such, that racing incidents are encouraged by the severe banking. It causes dogs to migrate down towards the rail causing crowding going into first bend especially for the sprinters. You can call it a racing incident, I prefer poor design as the factor causing these deaths.
-
Agree, just terrible people. Thousands of dogs shot and dumped in offal pit. Live kills the norm. How they still get away with it is an indictment on the NZGRA and code. They actually have the temerity to employ a welfare officer, only problem is, she devotes the welfare for the bludgers running the show, and not the dogs that shes employed to protect.

The first one Chocolate Lover, box 1, sprint, having first start. Whelped Sept 17. Got crossed early, went down, failed to complete trip, looked like broken leg. Carried back on golf buggy. My bet put down. Second one Rock Bottom, have to look at replay, but went down and didn't complete trip, looked bad, and again suspect broken leg.

Two dogs today look like dead dogs so far on the wall of death. Lets hope there is no more. Will be surprised if the connections especially the first one, which was the puppy Chocolate Lover, will be saved. Hope i'm proved wrong.

Would of had a meaningless requalifying trial with 3 slow dogs and probably led all the way. Would of been sent to the Macs for re education with you know what.
-
Stipes do not interpret rules, they are there only to enforce them. It is the job of the JCA to interpret them.
-
Also no age for the dog or bitch, just 1yr, or 2 yrs, or 3yrs. So we now do not know whether a dog is 12mths old or 23 months old as described as 1yr old. Fu#ken critical information for mine when assessing a young dogs chances. Agree, new website crap compared to old.
-
Now if the welfare officer employed at great expense by the over staffed, and under achieving NZGRA, they would put a watch on this dog, and monitor its future. This should apply to all dogs given tickets.
-
Cichlid, are you saying the 4 dog in question got put out. If so, I hope the connections take it to the JCA, As the dog in question was not guilty of any offense under the rules. There was a dog at Addington some years ago that was notorious for going for the balls of the winning dog at the lure. I well remember my dog Aqua Fling being shunted over the running rail by this naughty dog trying to rip his balls out, in fact it was the catalyst for getting the safety fence erected at this course. It was a Token Prince dog, and they had a reputation for this sort of thing. Having said all that, this dog never committed any offense during the race, only after the finish line where he seemed to know which dog was the winner, and only ever attacked that dog. There was never any warnings for the connections, and catchers of this dog after this trait became apparent always got in quick to get him out before he was able to do damage. Some dogs simply become very selfish over the lure, and this is a natural trait.

The colour is all wrong, extremly hard to read. White on a green background is bad. Before it was black on a white background which was far easier to read. Now it is shit. I have compared it to Supabet Australia, theirs is far easier to read. When you are studying form, you want clear precise font.

I find the new web site crap. Very difficult to navigate. Very hard to read. Cannot get entire field without endless scrolling. They do not have the stake money for the race. The sports are incomplete, example fight this Sunday between Pacman and Adrian Broner cannot be accessed, yet there is odds out on this fight. Cannot get help desk, just a fu#ken fu#k up. Had to travel to a TAB yesterday just to put money in my account. If it isn't broke, DONT FU#KEN TOUCH IT.

Banning all imports, that is racing stock would not be drastic at all. NZ is, and always has been, perfectly capable of breeding its own stock. I'm sure you mee2 do not rely on importing your sheep from overseas. Bringing in imports only adds to the problem of oversupply. They are not needed as far as wagering on Greyhound racing is concerned. NZ Greyhound racing had a much larger following back in the 70's and 80's when there was virtually no imports. They also had much larger turnovers back then. I know that was a different time, but NZ racing could do very nicely without importing racing dogs to add to an ever growing problem of what to do with the unwanted ones after racing ceases.

12 oclock has come and gone. Does not look well.

Ban all imports, and limit the number of dogs each training license is able to train. Extend dogs racing life by not being able to start racing dogs until two years of age. Then program races for dogs until 7 years of age in age related races. Example, races for 7 year olds, races for 6 year olds, races for 5 year olds. Not saying this would suit every dog, but most would be ok. By starting racing career at two, and finishing at seven, this will give them a five year racing career. Life after racing would be shorter thereby making it easier to keep them in old age. If this concept was adopted, the industry would solve the wastage. At present, dogs start racing far to young, and are burnt out far to early. If I was in charge, I would limit racing per dog to once a week. If they are serious about welfare, then radical changes are needed, and redesigning the grading of Greyhounds to incorporate older dogs is needed. If a Greyhounds racing life can be extended, then this will go a long way to solving healthy dogs being put down. Maybe a 5% deduction from stake money to be pooled for subsidy to trainers or owners to look after dogs in retirement once they reach 8 years old.
-
I have yet to find a race that does not have a finish. It cannot be a race unless there is a start and finish. If a race does not have a start or finish, then it is not a race. This concept should be easy to understand. In the case of Greyhounds, it starts at the boxes, and finishes at the finish line. This is why its called a finish line. 99.9% of people understand this to be so.
