  1. Yes, that was a huge mistake of which I regret. The lieing Greg Kerr assured me that because I was only suspended and not disqualified, all I had to do was pay my fine and any dues owing on my license, and i would be up and running. Then whilst I was serving my suspension of 10 mths he set about changing the rules, of which I had no knowledge when I payed my fine and costs which was $3650. If I had of known that he had covertly changed the rules I would never had payed. But never mind, only money, not an arm or a leg. The slimy Kerr has done me a favour, who the hell would want to race a dog now. I have two lovely pet Greyhounds to come home to, and they keep me busy walking them and coursing real rabbits, of which they get often. Hear that Kerr you weak mort. If I had of got my license back I wouldn't be sunning myself in 35 degree days here in Vietnam with my girlfriend. Every cloud has a silver lining as they.
  2. Don't make me laugh, those clowns running Greyhounds cannot lay straight in bed. They are far to busy thinking up secret rules, and feathering their own careers. It is probably only a matter of time whether it is destroyed from within, or from without. Probably a combination of both. They now have so many new rules coming out virtually every week, it has the potential to choke the industry. Who would want to be involved in such an over regulated, stifling, and costly business such as Greyhounds, where they have removed the word fun, and enjoyment, and turned it into fear and loathing just having to front a race meeting. The idiots have stuffed it.

No Lad, I think Teaz is very good, excellent voice and timing. Also a good knowledge of Greyhounds. You really do have to laugh about Trev sometimes. Its like when he gets it wrong, he just refuses to correct it, as if somehow it will come right.

No, I said race caller [not for me]. Others may like his calling, personally I do not. I find him better presenting.

Agree, not a bad presenter, but race calling not for me.

I agree with your sentiments Arsenic, but lets be honest, there is only two good dog callers, and they are Jason Teaz and Pearly. And for my money Jason is lonely.
  7. I withdraw the second part of this statement. My information has been found to be incorrect. There appears to be to many lie's being told, which makes me uncomfortable commenting further on the subject.
  8. She got involved with honest intentions, unlike the RIU goons that set about destroying her efforts.
  9. The only people here that are dishonest, is Greg Kerr and his band of bandits for allowing the situation in Huntly to exist. This situation had the blessings of the NZGRA. Dennis had been operating under that arrangement for years with the full knowledge of the RIU whom would of carried out inspections from time to time as per the rules. It is not Dennis who was rorting the public, but rather the NZGRA and RIU. They were the guilty parties.
  10. There is a lot more to this case than meets the eye Wally, suffice to say, it is not my place to say what these things are, I would rather those involved make these facts available if they desire. But what I will say is, two yrs for a case of negligence is manifestly excessive. This is not about drugging a dog to sting the betting public, this is a case of a P addict cross contaminating a dog with such a small amount of the drug that it wouldn't effect the dog in performance either way, no worse than somebody smoking a joint in a confined space such as a car and the dog coming up with a positive to cannabis. There was no betting sting, no rorting of the public, it was negligence. Dennis in mitigation has a clean record, having been an honest hardworking participant for over 30 yrs. In my opinion the NZGRA led by a rat by the name of Greg Kerr has set about using the office of the NZGRA to destroy Dennis and his family. In reality, this case is no worse than the tea bag case, or the poppy seed case, or the chocolate cake case, or the cocco bean bag case etc. None of those cases attracted anymore than small fines. Yes Wally, Dennis was found guilty, but this wasn't about dishonesty, or violent behaviour, but negligence, and minor negligence at that, nobody was hurt as a result of this negligence, the only victims here are Dennis and family. This is my opinion Wally.
  11. Under the NZGRA rules for them and rules for us, Dennis is now longer able to have Greyhounds on his property, that is racing Greyhounds, so to this end, make them the responsibility of the Rule makers, in this case the NZGRA. To this end, I would pick a local meeting, walk the dogs into the kennel block leads and all, talk to no one, drop the leads, and walk out. I would take somebody with me that could record all proceedings on an iphone. The equally useless SPCA would be unlikely to get involved as it is political, and is neither cruel nor abandonment. In my opinion Dennis has been treated terribly by an out of control NZGRA.
  12. Due to whats happening to Dennis and the shafting that he has been dealt by the corrupt NZGRA, I would consider taking all my dogs to the Manakau race track, and walking them into the kennel block and deserting them. Make it an NZGRA problem, they can takeover their well being. Just walk them in, and walk away. Make it their problem. I considered doing this in my case when the f#cken garbage guts Kerr rorted me in my case. They are nothing but filth.

Just another junket for the Stipes, its only pokie money after all, plenty more desperate money out there Charles. Enjoyed the race over here in Vietnam, although only a replay. The best dog won, and is clearly the better stayer when it comes to stamina. I backed Dusty before the heats, and after those heats was always afraid Dusty would get rolled up the straight, and so it was to be. Well done Ray and connections, truly a great race is the Silver Collar.
  14. Charles, standing outside the track would be ok. But if you were creating trouble the Police would charge you with disorderly conduct and arrest. Just my opinion.
  15. I think under the Racing Act all three codes can warn off virtually anybody that has convictions, or are banned by any code for things such as bookmaking, corrupting the tote, or persons who are deemed to be undesirables. If the racecourse dick is involved, they will call the Police and have you removed, if not charged. This law has been around in NZ since the 1800's. I know this to be true, as I have been charged under this Act several times. Ended in Court and fined about $20 back in the 70's. Many of my friends faced the same thing, it was not uncommon. I well remember traveling all the way to the Greymouth races from CH CH only to run into the racecourse jack as soon as walking in the gate, and being told to remove myself or be charged. You did or do not need to be a LP. They have enormous power under the act when it applies to the racecourses, it also applied from memory to TAB's, although that wouldn't be enforceable in todays world where TAB's are in Pups etc.
  16. I cannot even get radio trackside using the rova app on my iphone no matter what i try. Finally got it using an app called simple radio, this has proven to be brilliant, can now listen to any station in the world.
  17. Yes, having thought about it Bigjay, you are right. Once upon a time the racecourse Detectives were always banning and turfing off people with criminal convictions. It was printed in the front of all racebooks.
  18. What i find interesting is the fact Dennis has relinquished his ownership in the Huntly property. Question is, who now owns the property, or is this just a ruse?. You are correct in saying the NZGRA have no authority over David, just another example of them making fools of themselves, and over stepping their authority and importance.

They could always give every dog a go by making the first round non tote to determine the heats. Then it would not matter who pulled out.
  20. Ray Charles, singing America prior to the Sugar Ray Leonard Roberto Duran fight. Stunning performance, can someone with better skills than mine bring it up thanks.
  21. How do you know?, can you quantify that statement.
  22. Good question. I have raced dogs for over 30yrs, and cannot say I have ever come across a neutered dog or bitch. I am sure there is no rule saying they cannot race. You would only ever neuter a dog or bitch for a medical reason, as who's to say the dog or bitch may not go on to be a champion on the track. Neutering the dog or bitch can only have a negative effect on performance in my opinion.
  23. You get lopsided divies such as this when you have a small win pool and some idiot at the death lumped about a $2000 win bet on the 10 dog. This inflated all other runners, and the winner was the rank outsider.
  24. Yes, remember Shorty well. My dog Aqua Floss denied him his 2nd NZ Cup Gp1 at QE11 over a real race distance of 805 mtrs in the mud. He was a great dog. I had the pleasure of bringing both Shorty and his owner trainer Mike Lelliot home from Samson after they broke down on the way home after competing at Claudlands Hamilton. As for what is wrong with the game is not an answer I can give without collecting my thoughts. It is a good question, and I shall think about it before attempting an answer. But on one thing you can be sure, things have gone terribly wrong.
  25. They just do not think before thinking up new rules, by in large, knee jerk responses to most issues. I see they have a troll on Racecafe going by the name of Emotive. It is obviously somebody from the NZGRA trying to square off all their stupid decisions. A message to the troll Emotive, you have to gazette new rules for LP's to be able to read them. Even a halfwit would understand that.
