CrossCodes, not sure that describing Yi Feng as a mongrel dog is the way to go. Yi Feng is as much a victim as the dog he turned his attention on during the race. Yi Feng clearly does not want to be a race dog, and should be retired to be a pet. The mongrels in the piece are the connections, and officials, that are allowing and encouraging this dog to do what it does not want to do. If they were not blinded by greed, then this dog would, and should, be retired gracefully. But alas, the code has lost its moral compass.

Agree Arsenic, just say no. The battery farmers need shunning completely by their peers. This would be the most simple method responsible participants could do to bring change.

Painful to watch the puppies going around. The ruination of dogs. Just watched Punch on Meg run in race 4, the dog is clearly carrying an injury of some nature, runs a long last under sufferance. Same applies to Collette Baxter in an earlier race. Race till you drop is the key word. Anyone with doubts, have a look at race 4.

mmmmnnn, looks like Yi Feng will be going back to Honestly for re education. And we know what that means.

Unbelievable Charles. What shoddy incompetent work from the Racing Idiot Unit.
  6. OK I'll have a go. 1 gets a holiday, 2 was the victim. And GW was the steward.
  7. I see he is being sentenced as we speak, 4 years max my opinion, but will not be surprised if less.
  8. I would say in answer to your question re the jiggers, yes, yes, and to the third, not to improve performance, but rather manners. Reason for four, who knows, maybe the fact that there is about 600 horses involved, maybe some spares, could of been package deal. Who cares, very minor stuff thus far. No animal cruelty, no drugging horses, no rigging races, no failing or refusing to co operate, only heaps of hype from the media, and stupid people that believe everything they are served up. This is rapidly turning into a farce, but you can expect this when you have the corrupt Australian Police involved. Clearly a witch hunt.
  9. This whole Weir saga is starting to look like our operation Inca. And we all know where that is heading, acquittal on all racing related matters. This involved and is an operation by the NZ Police, who outrank and override every other entity.... they have been building a case for sometime.. Therefore their investigation is ongoing. See the parallels here Milkshake. This whole saga with Weir will end up the same way, unless they come up with new damning new evidence. If all they end up with is some stable hands cocaine stash, Weirs fathers pop gun used for pests and rodents, and 4 jiggers found in a locked safe, then I am afraid it will be seen for what it is. A rabid media frothing at the mouth with fake news. This appears to be a witch hunt.

Yes, I do wonder about Hudson. Hopefully on his way to a soft couch somewhere.
  11. Do you mean the Fed investigation is like the Mueller investigation, all media hype, and no guts.
  12. If its just cattle prods which were locked in a safe, and Weir refusing to answer questions, and a small quantity of coke found on the premise, which could be attributed to anyone, then I do not see that this is any big deal, other than the fact it is the leading trainer in Australia. Most of it is media hype. If it was Joe Blogs from the outback, it would not rate a mention. Unless there is more to follow from the Feds that nobody at this stage knows about, then I am prepared to say, fairly minor stuff. If he was drugging horses, or rigging races, or treating horses inhumanely, then I would have a different view. Just my take on it.

They being the authorities probably do not want to know, being this was a dog that had been legally flogged as a puppy, by not allowing it to mature into an adult dog. All perfectly legal and correct under the stewardship of the Greyhound industry.
  14. Yes, James Mac penalty was harsh, but I feel Weirs offence is not as bad as the media are making out. The usual story in this day and age where everything is over hyped. At the end of the day, he was not drugging horse's, he was not using jiggers on the race track during races or trials. The jiggers were locked in a safe which to me indicate they were probably only used on problem horses, and were not habitually used on all. I do not swallow the line that these devises are or amount to cruelty to horses. Yes he has broken the rules, and must pay the penalty, but 10yrs to life I think would be a complete over reaction. The bigger you are, the bigger the fall springs to mind Reefton. Weir is going from the top to the bottom here, even without a penalty. I think 3 years would be about right.
  15. Please don't insult the Mongolian Nation. These were the forefathers of the Korean Nation, and as such, highly intelligent, industrious, and hard working peoples. Comparing Mongolians with those slack arse's working on the butchered website is akin to saying Donald J Trump will not go down in history as the greatest President ever to lead the USA.
  16. Thomo, whats your view on President Trump?. And while I'm at it, is David Bain guilty. Would appreciate honest answer.
  17. I just spent mine at the dogs this arvo. $10.
  18. I came, I saw, I conquered. I voted to have you ousted, I am one of the 8, just so as there's no misunderstandings Thomo. All the best Aqua.
  19. Good onya Chief.
  20. And in the red corner, fighting out of the Nth Island, wearing the red and white trunks, the pound for pound smallest brain on the planet, dump at all costs, Leigh the tiny Scooby 3051. And in the green corner, the number one racing chat site, wearing the pale green and white trunks, and fighting out of Auckland NewZealand, the pride of the racing community, not only in NewZealand, but around the woooooooooorrrrrrllldd.
  21. How exciting, a complaint to the Racing Idiot Unit.
  22. No track condition, no stake, sweet f#ck all. Quiet believable really.

Poor Homebush Katie never really stood a chance. Katie died yesterday at the Wall of Death. Vet said probably heart attack. Dropped dead at the lure after competing in its 9th race in 31 days. Had a look at Katies record, not good reading. Katie was whelped June 17, qualified August 18 when 14 months old. Had first of 30 starts August 18 when 14 months old. Dead from heart attack 19 months old. RIP.

We will have to keep tabs on this dog Goldstar Hudson. Make sure it does not become a victim, and is found a nice home. The NZGRA are very slack on following up and checking on these dogs. The welfare officer is a joke, and cannot be trusted to check on dogs that are put out for playing, or for that matter, any dogs that are registered to them.
