So the connections of SIS are still having trouble getting over it... The Ellerslie 'Committee' should call a special meeting and change the conditions while it's still fresh in their crazy cotton pickin minds Regardless of what happens over the next few weeks, Brennan is still coming to terms with the disappointment of Sword In Stone missing a start in the Gr.1 New Zealand Derby (2400m) despite being stakes-placed in his final lead-up run. “I was gutted he didn’t get into the race and I’m still feeling it now,” she said. “He was cherry ripe for the race and had drawn perfectly in barrier one. He would probably have enjoyed a lovely, economical run on the fence and I think he would have proved very competitive. “To be Group Two placed and still only second on the ballot doesn’t seem right as I definitely think he should have made the field. “We can’t change it now though, so we have to look forward with him.”

The irony is koppa... ...a nose past the post... ..and she's fine...not fined... ...and what's the difference? nought, nada, zilch -
What a mare...it doesn't happen often..but she could win at most distances if tried... Simply superb all season... and obviously the 'love connection' with the groom is real love https://mobile.twitter.com/Teinawalters/status/1104498573326991360

Well, Fiulford brought it out...the old Penetrometer...and promptly dropped it in a lateral drain To be fear... If that track was in Arstralia...and they'd spent that much money on lateral draining every 5 M... ...and from the very first race...stayed off the rail... theyd be wanting their money back... Either the drains are working...taking the water away...or they're not ...and it clearly looks like they're not! Wheres the goddam STRATHYR HQ?

You've just got to laugh at these 'mean tweeters'... ..poor Matt Chapman arrived in Terror Arstralis and had the audacity to criticise Winx for not taking on the World... ...and they've never forgiven him... https://mobile.twitter.com/paddypower/status/1104468567783804930

You'll have noted I mentioned NOTHING wrt soil structure... Clearly it's worked...almost too well...with a real rail bias now If you'd heard Treweek on Trackside you'd understand "we didn't think the rain would come...we left it in the rail position because of that...but now its come they should be racing off the rail which will preserve it for next week" Verbatim... WTF?? Why would a club destroy the good ground out to 8 Metres...on a piddling day...when there's a Premier meeting the week after?? CLUELESS

About time...and good on her winning a Major Iconic race...the Queen's City's Cup Of course she's going to rise in the irons and punch the f in air "YES you fecken beauuuuuuuty" Just as the neddy hit the line...well clear of the others Thatll be a 3 hundy fine thanks!!! This type of human emotion is celebrated almost everywhere else in the World!! HK Love it! Being anal Lutheran/Elusive Bretheren types..like those shrews Hesi, pete, Grassi and Bazz... who hate fun..just like the Feds here...they slugged her But I bet she loved it and didn't give a monkeys....well worth the slug

You're a tuff marker Mark... Theres no f'er. in Aucks anymore over Xmas...although the Chinese stay because they can't swim or drive...but HQ ignores them anyway... But you're wrong...it's called two bites at the cherry... Instead of 4 days at Xmas as was the case...Its splits beautifully into 2 sesh's the one problem is it's the Queen's City's Cyclone season...at least one day usually gets totally f'ed over
-
Send them over the Hill today!! Fred was right...PLOUGHING the turf for sure!
-
So a piddling meeting this week...before their G1 Premier day next week... ...and what do they do...on a piddling day with a S7 track? They leave the rail TRUE...just so they can give it a good harrowing....with horse's hooves f me..CLUELESS!

Weird how this new 'Going Stick'...to measure not only the depth of the Track but the shear factor....mirroring a horse's action... has been hidden by the Track Managers...who hate pesky Punters knowing the exact nature of their mostly f'd tracks Cmon Jason Fulford...TRANSPARENCY today thanks... Show us what you're doing with it.. Then tell us how it reads across the WIDTH Just do it...and no usual Track Manager b/s either thanks

Wow...they're providing more info on the Beasts than the Cup! Meet the clydesdales! March 7, 2019 In what is thought to be a 'first ever' here at Ellerslie, this Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day we are excited to welcome oncourse 12 clydesdales to take place in the inaugural Dunstan Feeds Auckland Clydesdale Cup! With two heats taking place between Race 1 and 2 and between Race 2 and 3 and the final scheduled for immediately following Race 6, it's a spectacle you won't want to miss. We've rounded up some fun facts about the gentle giants taking to the track this Saturday...but if you want a sneak peek of some of the team in training, check out this link: http://bit.ly/MoveOverMelbourneCup HEAT 1 Horse 1: Logan Colours: Yellow and black stripe Rider: Ian Cummings 6 year old gelding, 17.2hh Logan was bred at Erewhon Station in Canterbury, South Island and has worked in harness as part of the team for all regular farm work. He's just arrived back from the South Island where he completed the Otago Cavalcade - approx 250kms in 6 days travelling over the ranges from Alexandra to Lake Hawea. Logan also competes regularly at A &P shows (both ridden and harness classes), and even did a freestyle dressage test! Racing career - 1st time out, he came 2nd in 2018 at the Pirongia Boxing Day Picnic Races. Horse 2: Grayson Colours: Black, orange and mint geometric print Rider: Kathy Cummings 10 year old gelding, 16.1hh, only weighs 640kgs! Offically called Te One Taggarts Grayson, bred from Te One Clydesdales in Levin. He, like Logan, has just come back from the South Island after completing approx. 250kms over 6 days at the Otago Cavalcade. Works as a stock horse at our farm south of Waiouru. Regularly attends breed shows and competes in low key endurance rides. Racing career - 2nd at the Castlepoint Beach Races in 2017 and 1st place at Pirongia Boxing Day Picnic Races in December 2018 (where Kathy bet her husband Ian, creating a healthy rivalry between the two of them for Sat!) Horse 3: Duke Colours: Purple, blue, yellow and pink Rider: Annika 14 year old gelding, standing at 18hh. He‘s by Donnybrook Kalahari and earns his keep as a carriage horse for weddings and other events. He’s being kept fit harrowing paddocks at home but also being ridden regularly by our friend Annika in an effort to keep his waistline slim. He loves his food and shares his paddock at home with two miniature horses. Duke and his carriage are available for weddings and special occasions. Racing career - Duke has raced three times at the Pirongia Boxing Day races 3 times, with a close second being his best result. Horse 4: Hazel (Race Name: Take a chance on me) Colours: Bright blue with pale blue v Rider: Scott Lewin 9 year old, full Clydesdale mare and approx. 17hh. Our second husband and wife battle, with wife Jess is on Daiquiris on Strawberry. Hazel has been training with the Muriwai Horse Trek crew so is fighting fit and ready to race. Her Dam is Myrtle Park Marjory and her Sire is Myrtle Park Colin. Hazel is like a big equine labrador and loves attention & cuddles. She makes sure to lick every little crumb of feed out of her and every other horses’ bucket. She is famous for enjoying a nice roll in soft sand - even with a rider on top! Horse 5: Bella (Race Name - Bellaire) Colours: Navy Rider: Simon - Our newest kid on the block! He’s also known as our CFO who keeps us in line and doesn’t let us get carried away with buying to many horses! 13 year old mare Bella is our sassy queen clydie if ever there was one! This girl is “thick” like Beyoncé with a tail of hair like Rapunzel! She’s a perfect combo of just enough attitude “to let you know where you stand” and “a soft safe armchair to snuggle into”. She’s introduced many people to the world of horse riding and builds confidence in anyone that has the pleasure of mounting her. Don’t let her sweet nature captivate you though.... she means business and if you get in her way she’ll be sure to let you know about it! Horse 6: Strawberry (Race Name - Daiquiri’s on Strawberry) Colours: Red and white check with white sleeves Rider: Jess Lewin 10 year old mare Strawberry, sound and sweet and colour of strawberry roan this big softy reminds us of Poo’s friend Eeyour, with her fluffy long ears, overly large face and long body she looks a little clumsy and half asleep most of time, don’t let that fool you. One of our long time trekkers this girl is responsible for our love of clydies and their versatile abilities. With long floating paces this girl goes from 0-100 in a flash and looks stunning as she does it!

Here's a quartet to follow if you want a wee interest over the Carnival So much chat about Al Dancer for the Supreme Novices’ hurdle but I far prefer the odds and chances of GRAND SANCY who has raced with his heart on his sleeve all year and can give Paul Nicholls a third win in the Festival opener. He is such a terrier and I like the fact that Nicholls has said he’s streets ahead of Southfield Stone, the horse who lowered the colours of Angels Breath in the Dovecote hurdle at Kempton. His tenacity was illustrated perfectly in the Kingwell hurdle at Wincanton and whoever beats him will have been in one almighty fight. The best-looking horse at Cheltenham will be TOPOFTHEGAME and he has ability to match. A hulk of a horse, reminiscent of Denman in sheer physique, he ran an astonishing race at Exeter on his chase debut behind Defi Du Seuil surrendering 30 lengths when whipping round at the start. To only be beaten three lengths at the line was an amazing effort. He then gave a beating to Santini and a big scare to subsequent Grade 1 winner La Bague Au Roi at Kempton and would have won that with a more patient ride. I want him delivered as late as possible as I’m sure he idles when hitting the front. I'm always sucked into the bumper and rather than wait until the day, I took the bull by the horns and backed BLUE SARIto win this year’s race straight after he bolted up in his sole start at Gowran Park in January. You could not fail to be impressed by his turn of foot that day; I can visualise him whipping round the home turn and winning with something to spare. I’ve enjoyed Envoi Allen’s progress all year long but feel things will happen too quickly for him around this tight track. Coo Star Sivola provided Lizzie Kelly with a breakthrough Festival winner twelve months ago and there is every chance she can land another prize with SIRUH DU LAC who will be one of the favourites for Thursday’s Brown Advisory Merribellle Plate, on the proviso he gets in. He has won three contests this year, all narrowly, meaning the handicapper hasn’t been able to crush him, yet he still needs a good few to come out to get a run. I thought he was great on Trials Day, jumping well and then showing the gamest attitude to hold on. He's only just starting out and the sky is the limit and he won’t mind either if the track ends up pretty soft. Wait for the day or NRNB is the best advice. John's Four for the Festival GRAND SANCY (Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle, 1.30 Tuesday) TOPOFTHEGAME (RSA Insurance Novices' Chase, 2.10 Wednesday) BLUE SARI (Weatherbys Champion Bumper, 5.30 Wednesday) SIRUH DU LAC (Brown Advisory & Merriebelle Stable Plate Handicap Chase, 4.10 Thursday)

Cammo is hilarious...if you like adhd on high rotate Imagine if they got hold of him over the ditch...and put a wee fininshing polish on him Get rid of the specs, 6ft heels, and a slick hair do...Oh and minus sucking in the Helium... Cookson went over there last year...he suddenly stopped blinkin blinking like Blinky the Budgie...but he still couldn't dress himself properly... And they deported his ass back...f it

Given that then... The Feds will be all over this...perhaps lightening early morning raids...a thorough search of the boudoir...in a search for altered TT's and maybe even other shocking items? ...and then a thorough nvestigation of Grassi's claim that the Betfear betting thing on this race was.... highly "unusual" Surely all of the EMAILS sent to the Feds on this matter...would have mentioned the BETTING? So it's a little perturbing the Stipes report didn't cover that aspect.... Maybe they forgot to put it in the report?? Like they forgot to report the winners TT on Wednesday...different from Saturday

That's was just down the road from moi... ITs where the Thoroughbred Industry should purchase a greenfields...after selling up HQ for 1Billlllion.... ...buying the Muriwai Sandy az Golf linx... ...getting an AT training facility with that type of camber on it...and it'll be all tickety boo btw those Huge Beasts are built on far more sturdier foundations than a fragile Thoroughbred aren't they?
-
No way nod! I was only in nappies then and I don't recall it... You sure it wasn't in the 40's...when you were soiling the diapers?

Yea na...what might have been... They used to...until the Fest. Shifted dates Imagine breaky...deep fried beer battered Pigs nipples...a mane of Wild Boar poo washed down with an opossum colostrum shot...with a set of sheep bollocks dipped in deer ejacculate for dessert ..followed by a day at the Hoki neddys...2 days of debauchery... ...remember it's still legal to marry your sisters and brothers down there...so you could have left the partner at home and taken a sibling to fit in...bug her...only in your dreams now
