  1. Well mumbles 'Billy' didn't show a whole lot of humble and/or media savvy after winning on Somervill's neddy "Mr. Somerville .told me to give it a hiding" Yea Na..Big Red needs to give 'Billy' a real boot up the ass for that b/s talk.. While Somerville may have told him his horse needs a strong tide...I very much doubt whether he would have said "hiding" Pops was shocked...and ended the interview quick smart... They get media training at App school now... ..this interview should be played at all App. Schools come Monday... ...on what not to say on live telly..even if he was told to give it a "hiding" Its a bad look...especially coming from an App. Who needs a boot up the ass quick smart...
  2. What a damn pitty you didn't leave it up to Baffert to decide if his neddy was OTT curious... ...I hope you didn't get "layed all day"...by now you'll be wanting a good rub over and a wee soak in the tub?
  3. I Quoted the 'experts' Bazza... ..don't recall the rail being so far out at 15M...Youd know more about the bias out there by the old chippy stand Im picking between the 12 and 15 is where the shit load of sand was downloaded and left to nature... So taking a wild stab...as all Punters will be without the width readings... Itll have a leaders bias on the rail....best
  4. Seriously curious you have no idea about punting here...only maidens last time you told us... Punters use this information for their various 'niches'... Some will find stuff uselful...others not Knowledege is power...the NZ punter is treated like a lonely mushroom...and it ain't magic Just heard the 'experts' on The Fart Call.. "Well Jason, is it going to be a leaders Track at 15M...or will it favour sweepers so far out...where's the best ground going to be?" ffs... If we're going down your root...you wouldn't waste time on publishing gear changes But we know you have absolutely no idea about the performance quotient of Blinkers...others do
  5. Great idea...long service of 20 years or more and the reward is....wait for it.... A f in PLAQUE...I've got Plaque on the teeth...and I'm trying to get the Princess to lick the sheet off... ....haven't these AMATUERS got any idea about finding a SPONSOR ffs?? Even a f in Hundy..or a meal out at some sheet overpriced Viaduct cess pit?? Not even a bottle of piss to get plastered... Seriously...it's once a month not every week!! ..clueless http://www.nzracing.co.nz/News/24782/Service-award-launched.aspx
  6. This is very basic stuff that Arstralian Punters get handed to them on a platter... ...our tracks are far worserer...worserer than a bog at the Bognor Regious track.. Change of tactics notes, exact pen. Readings, Vet operations... ...Any f'er who thinks Punters didn't need Wanganuis rail pen. Readings eats Monkfish
  7. Yep anythings better than nothin! The Track Manager has to write 30 down anyway...easy to screenshot that and post it...Punters can do whatever they like with it...why hide it? Straight is the most important...at the moment every 100M theyre taken up the straight...just do that across the width It matters what barrier is drawn when the rails off...no doubt about that...or when the rail shows a better pen. Reading...on a leaders bias track especially
  8. And a very good piece scribed by FORMPRO on this matter...but it's not the first case...far from it...Trudi's Group 2 effort in February a shining example of course... Was this the first case where the winner should have been relegated after getting a definite advantage with a blatant overuse of the whip? In race three at Avondale on Monday, Ego Princess was hit hard 28 times with the whip from the 300m to the 100m mark and two strides were taken without being whipped! The horse, Ego Princess, responded well and was able to pass three other horses around her where the riders had adhered to the rule of five strides or less with the whip and five without till the 100 metre mark. The second horse connections could have protested that the winner had clearly received an unfair advantage, but the rules as they are now, say that you can’t protest on those grounds. The rider, Kavish Chowdhoory, was given 12 days for blatantly breaking the rule. Is it time that connections can protest on the grounds that the other horse received an unfair advantage? This was just a $10,000 slog in the bog maiden, but it is going to happen in a Group race sooner rather than later. The perception will be that the winning connections and punters will have received an unfair advantage just like any other unfair advantage like drugs or interference. So why not a whip advantage?
  9. So we're told Wiremu...the new 'gun' on the block, is called 'Billy' by his boss and wants to be called such on the telly...which Sweenz did non stop yesterday.. Theres something very concerning about putting young Apps. on a pedestal like this boy has been.. Sharrock did this with Mick Walker and to be fair it went to his head...big time... It also happened with J Mack...and his bubble burst as well when he thought he was invincible.. He admitted as much when he said he'd been in a racing bubble and was too immature to handle the high pressure.. Pinn has been flying in the adrenalin fix as well by the looks...caught grinning like a Cheshire Cat behind the camera after getting beaten on an odds on Favorite recently...confidently predicted he's " gunna be the man"... ...but yesterday was hauled in before the Stewards and spoken to adivisedly, with Sharrock and the Riding master alongside, for getting too competitive and not taking cover... ...in the same race he gave up...pinged for failing to ride his mount out...now gone for 2 weeks Big Red should stop putting him on a pedestal this week then...avoid calling him 'Billy'...give him extra boxes to muck out and a good old boot up the ass...just like the old days He'll thank Big Red in 10 years time for it...when he gets offered a 10K bet by a Sydney punter.. ..he'll be saying "thanks but no thanks"
  10. It appears you have all of the answers And what happened when NZRB invited you to help solve the puzzle?? You couldn't be pissed going to a meeting...niller Just let Messara have his turn...he'll know by now just how much the Racing Industry contributes and we'll go from there...
  11. True in the case of PH who drew one and was able to get off the rail with its pace....and was 10 widths out round the home bend.. However Punters were sold a pup by the 'experts' when told the rail...and backing inside barriers and trail horses was just fine.. ...when it wasn't... Pitman and FORMPRO think they should be...Why take 30 readings around the course and then hide them from the public? Any information like this helps the punter... perceived or otherwise Surely it's up to them to then decide what to do with them? Yesterday the reading was downgraded retro to the first...on a fine day...wtf? Punters should have had those readings which would have shown an 'on the cusp' reading of Heavy..and those readings would have shown the rail was just fine...which it was
  12. Pretty simple isn't it? You know the rails off...outside barriers are what you want... Drawing inside...such as Wanganui...death trap Publishing them..lazy Jockeys then know Kelly née Myers does the stick thing...NZTR employee Noel Harris does it... He told Jazz Fawcett the fast lane at Puke a month back... Post race interview..." I knew where the fast lane was and I used it" Perhaps you could get your own niche...watch what pro Jockeys walk the track then get on best
  13. And the JCA panel of Dooley and Scott just about had an apoplectic attack when they viewed the video nasty... And of course under the new 'improved' vicious guidelines...where "suspensions must be meaningful"... ...they just ignore the fact this boy only rides in the North..and got 7 measly days... ...wet bus ticket stuff... ...read and weep again at how hopeless our Feds are... "It is clear when reviewing the video films that this is the worst breach that the Committee has ever witnessed under this Rule. The manner in which Mr Chowdhoory used his whip 37 times in the final straight is appalling and a terrible look for the racing industry. The significant aggravating factors are, the offending is inexcusable, grossly unacceptable and raises alarming animal welfare and public concerns. The punishing force and quantity of strikes applied to EGO PRINCESS is unprecedented and deemed as absolute high end. In addition the Committee determined that the gravity of the breach and the culpability of Mr Chowdhoory is high end. It is extremely important that a penalty has the effect of deterring riders from committing similar offences. The Committee observed that Mr Chowdhoory was using the whip with his arm above shoulder height which is deemed to be unacceptable under the whip Guidelines."
  14. Oh dear... And you wonder why the Kiwi punter has disappeared from the stands....cant even get some poor f'er holding your hand at the chippy stand... ...let alone GAMBLE on NZ racing...because that's what it is Meantime Arstralian Punters have the exact pen. Reading...change of tactic notifications et el... You probably don't adjust your bet if a neddy's just had a wind operation... ...or got caught in the very slow Whanganui rail on Saturday.. You and roddy bet by rote though don't you?? So you certainly wouldn't adjust your bet if historical PDF formlines shows at a glance that a neddy can't handle a HOLDING track...
  15. Was that you who texted Dezzy yesterday Huey? Asking about the WILDFLOWER cobalt positive? ...Godber telling us..."it's with the JCA...it'll be heard sometime soon" Haha...before Xmas?
  16. Oh yep So you don't agree, Punters should have known before the first, that the rail was off?
  17. So what what?? It was a good winter track...SOFT... 6 M of fresh ground and "the rails the place to be"...Tan and Rodley... ...those who want to bet...e.g. They have a horse racing...who knew that happens? And genuine Kiwi Thoroughbred Punters wanting to bet...instead of the Harness horror show of endless short favourites... NZ Punters deserve and should expect ACCURATE information shouldn't they? Not the b/s they're getting...
  18. As I thought...you're CLUELESS...again Of course...you said there was "nothing wrong with the Eagle Farm track"...didnt you? If you think a Jockey...drawn one on the flat side...is going to pull back and over to the Grandstand side....when 6 other horses on his outer are dictating his every move... ...you have no idea...again The only thing you got correct is that Punters won't bet if they don't have the correct information... ...and early Whanganui bettors got sold a pup when told the fresh 6M would be the place to be..."probably all day"...and it wasn't from the get go... When a simple straight penetrometer reading across the width, would have told them something entirely different... ...or a Senior Jockey/Noel Harris track report...telling Punters where they think the fast lane will possibly be... Instead of a guessing game
  19. So Simon says..George....back in February... ...after Trudi well and truley broke the RULES OK...in a G 2 race...winning by a nose Yet no inquiry into the result...because it's not in the RULES OK.?? Protests aren't allowed...WTF? Now we have the case of Apprentice CHOWDHOORY...winning a race by 3/4L on Monday Unmercifully thrashing his mount 37 times in the final straight....22 times before the final 100m..with a brief 3 stride semi- merciful break...the rules...5 times with a 5 stride break... Of course no protest allowed...even though the runner up stuck to the rules Another FARCE then..... But not only that...this is a very bad look for racing...if the media get hold of this the public backlash will be severe... Especially so when they find CHOWDHOORY will only spend 7 REAL days on the sideline...in his area...again...FARCICAL Of course the RIU's Godber brushed it under the carpet on the Wednesday interview when he said... "no nothing unusual this week Dezzy...the whip rule found less Jockeys getting charged" FFS... Read and weep for the sport and the bad publicity that will follow...the industry needs to act now and change the rule...and with more severe punishments "Mr Coles demonstrated the incident using the available video footage. He identified Mr Chowdhoory racing near the lead and showed that he struck his mount 22 times from the 400 metres to the 100 metres. He said that Mr Chowdhoory used his whip a further 15 times in the last 100 metres which meant he used his whip 37 times in the final straight. He said that the only respite was for 3 strides. Mr Chowdhoory accepted the number of strikes that were counted out aloud by the Stewards. He was unable to offer any explanation to the Committee for the excessive and unacceptable manner in which he used his whip. Mr Harris said he couldn’t believe the way Mr Chowdhoory used the whip in the final straight. He said that he had spoken to Mr Chowdhoory before the race and advised him that 2 taps would be sufficient to keep his mount going. In conclusion he stated that he threw his hands up because he doesn’t know where the riding display came from. In answer to a question from the Committee, Mr Williamson and Mr Harris assured us that Mr Chowdhoory was fully aware of the Guidelines with respect to acceptable use of the whip."
  20. The readings are taken at 1.5, 3 and 4.5M at the moment...at 100M sections up the straight...further around other parts ...so obviously those horses racing at 6M plus on Saturday were racing on something that's wasn't accurately portrayed... Id suggest every 3/4M across the width which would add another 8-10 readings in the straight... ..it would take the poor trackman another 10 minutes to do... ...but spades more information for the currently mushroomed punter...
  21. The poor wee buggas today... 5C with a wind chill factor of 3 frozen packets of peas down the y fronts and /or panty region... The Feds should take pitty and provide mulled wine after each race and sod the inebriation test... They'll all be wishing they had the full 'Cammo'...on down the neck as well...and kept their nasal and ear hair untrimmed... Why cultivate it when it grows wild around the ass region they say... ...today's your answer
  22. Ok let me help you...because I feel for you and my empathy has grown since you self banned yourself from Chat Assuming the track is even across the width and we're racing in lanes.. Just like the straight six at Flem... And where they provide a reading across the width...both rail and outside...thanks What if they didn't like here? ...and find post race the rail is 3L slower...if we'd known that before the race... ...would you say the 'overs' horse was still value and ignored the reading...or would you have adjusted your investment accordingly?? Answers on the back of a postage stamp...
  23. Oh f...did they lower themselves already?? Actually the awful chariots will suit these boys... They love the 'shorts' and there's plenty of boring shorts in this so called sport... This after a trip to Rosehill and all they've got to offer in the way of absolutely superb punting information.. ...Kemeys was blown away by it...I'm surprised he's not already living there actually Arstralia really is the true place for a young person to experience life and to grow..
  24. Wtf...speaking of pain in the asses... You haven't improved your cop the f on at all have you? I'll repeat this verrrry slowly...and only say it once...nes pa? If a punter thinks they've got overs...and the experts and oneself assume the 'fresh ground is the go...and the neddy's drawn perfectly and ticks all one's boxes for value...and it's part of your 'niche' strategy for success and riches... ...but turns out the rail is a death trap and slower down there... ...then it's not overs is it?? You're right...Simple az
  25. There's no doubt punting on our winter tracks is largely a guessing game... You can pretty much rely on a track like Avondale at the moment though.. They raced on a fresh strip of 6 M on Monday...and that was the place to be all day At the previous meeting they were coming down the outside..like the old days The suits destroy Punters confidence however.. ...when Whanganui races on 6M of fresh ground....wont publish the entire straight readings and across the width...not to just the 4M which we get at present...doh ...and expect Punters to know the 6M is off from the get go...even though Trackside 'experts' like Tan and Rodley have rightly assumed the rail should be the place to be...and inside draws...but it sure as hell ain't ...does nothing to encourage punting here... Its all about punter confidence in the product... ...and investing on a runner with an inside draw when the rail's off is definitely not overs...which we would have known if the readings across the width of the straight were delivered to Punters
