I've always reiterated that I trust the trainer on gear changes...on a neddy I've sorted out... ..I may even reduce investments on a neddy who's now racing in ear covers or bandages... If you call superior form in a better class of race back to inferior neddys...stats Thats your problem...I call it superior obvious form analysis
-
Obviously if the rails off..,as Gibbs told us... ...it allows back runners a far greater chance of finishing over the top out wider...as many did... ...you complained about the fierce usual bias there...but it wasn't in play last week ...and it didn't have much to do with bunnies going nuts in front either... Did the Trackman alter his usual preparation with the constant complaints of leaders bias?
-
Not the discussion B... You poo poo'd my method of selecting winners and that yours and Woddys 'niches' were far superior... ...please correct the assumption if I'm wong?
-
You appeared piqued that I'd trusted both the trainer...and that TT's have such a good ROI... Having sorted a superior needy out, imho, what's wrong with trusting the trainer an even greater performance is possible taking into account both the superior trainer and the knowledge TT's improve performances on most neddys compared with the control group?
-
Btw Bazza... Did you hear Chris Gibbs say " I think the rail was playing differently than usual....further out appeared to be the place" And you were complaining about the rail and on speed bias...were you pissed? If we'd had the pen. readings across the width...even to the 10M mark... ...we'd have known before the first where the fast lane was ...and it wasn't the rail... ..who knew...not you

Yes of course..especially as good a trainer as Jimmy.. I analysed its superior form in superior full fields on Premier days...good enough to journey to Australia and show form on unsuitable hard tracks... ..then trusted Jimmy this neddy needed a TT to perform at its best...plus 20% Read this from Kentucky Equine Research...you may even alter your bets on a maiden neddy you've signalled out as superior and with value... ...or you may simply learn something for a change.. "For group 1, exposed horses were 1.85 times more likely than unexposed horses to have improved earnings in their next three races after the date when a tongue tie was first used. For group 2, exposed horses were 3.6 times more likely than matched unexposed horses to have improved earnings in their next three races after the date when a tongue tie was first used. For group 3, exposed horses were 4.24 times more likely than matched unexposed horses to have improved earnings in their next three races after the date when a tongue tie was used, and 5.05 times more likely than matched unexposed horses to have improved earnings in their next five races after the date when a tongue tie was used."

Good on you big D for finding your niche in life... I went through Tamworth once...and Tamworth went through me...after I indulged in a pint of Dr Jurds Jungle Juice...f moi Never been the same sunce... Ive 'loved' a lot of nice fillies meself over the years as well D... ...and the pay back...if I had a dollar for every particle of sand kicked in the moose as a result..I'd be rich az Lets hope this Tammy Tip doesn't do to you what I did to those fillies then D

You're wrong BF The Stipes know that ALL FALLERS are required to be vet checked... The rules required the horse to be DQ'd and the jockey should have been admonished for continuing...and the CLERK of the course quizzed up on the RULES Following the race...change the rules if they want " if a horse FALLS and the jockey has been unseated..but slides alongside...and keeps the reins in hand...and there's no blood and the horse 'feels ok' after a Hundy further...and there's no broken bones...continue on for World famous status...even though this is against the INTERNATIONAL rule...ok" that
-
Oh dear....acting Cheief Stipe Williamson was on yesterday trying to explain the indefensible... " Goodwin told me the action(of falling) was 'one fluid action' and the jockey had his hands on the reins" No Willie...the neddy FELL...all four hooves were pointing in the AIR...the jockey was unseated sliding alongside the FALLEN neddy... ...the horse could have been injured in the process of FALLING... ...that's the purpose of having the INTERNATIONAL rule...to stop FALLERS and injured Jockeys continuing on while injured... You can't have a rule that says " since the FALLER continued on and won...it obviously wasn't injured...and the jockey held the reins" no no no...that's a country bumpkin rule...which we used to have It turns out the conversation Kuru could be seen having with the Clerk went like this " can I keep going" " yea go for it" The Clerks need to be quizzed up on the....RULES OK " no you fell...you're a gonnnner...pull up...you've had your chance and you FELL" ..should have been the narrative

Steady boys..this has been done to death already Every Thoroughbred 'investor' has their own 'niches' Woddy goes for the algorithm niche...puts a bunch of stats in his PC program and ignores things like Visors...which he thought were sunnies for neddys...and "there's nothing wrong with the Eagle Farm track" Bazza goes for the Baker/Forsman Waterhouse idea of keeping their neddys on the pace and ready to strike...i.e. Fit f'ers...fair enough...and good on you Bazza...going to every meeting where you can view the stock as well as sell your Chippies to the hoi polloi... Bazza has previously said "I ignore weight" then comes out in another thread and says "and the 4kg claimer is great" He tipped Kyrie and didn't bother factoring in the Blinkers back on which the trainer told us yesterday "she needs badly".. after a shocking first upper without them Gibb's Daddy and a whole heap of Trainers before him...Lance's Daddy..used to take Blinkers off first up...for excellent results...on some, like Kyrie, it doesn't work... Largely my niche is form in a better class of field...back to inferior neddys...Shilllings for Jillings and his mates cliched it..."keep your horses in inferior company and yourself in superior company" And of course fit horses on bad tracks at this time of year....you know horses who can back up and take the work then enjoy the punishment... As an example I was on BLUETWENTYTWO at Te Teko ...superior form in full Premier day fields...back to midweek...then good form in Aus on unsuitable tracks...back here first up with 3 kgs off after a good trial....then I trusted trainer Collett with the TOngue Tie on first up...an extra 20% on the investment for that At 13's well overs... Woddy can't work form out here in NZ...stick to your Niche in country areas of Aus then Wod... ...leave real form analysis to the locals who have superior knowledge of local conditions and nuances here in NZ

And the Keewoi's are in action! The Vella Fella's neddy is there and so to Davo's! ...and Jammy Maks back! Will the Toffs shun him for being a rogue and vagabond or will they take him into their bosoms...cos they've been there too? Will they be wearing the classic antique silk toppy or the 'sweat like a pig smell like a jockstrap' felt f'er? Who knows, just as long as the laydies are comfortable going commando and wearing silk off the shoulder numbers... https://www.thoroughbredracing.com/articles/now-mcdonald-has-great-chance-scaling-new-height/

Of course the 'classy' Auckland Jocks like Leafal have progressed to the 'classy' stuble It's been scientifically proven that Women around the World find this hair type... HOT AZ...the hard prickly nature of said stubble sends the entire body of a Woman into meltdown.. ...don't want to keep repeating..but it deserves doing so in case other hot Men such as moi...don't know about the key to a woman's door...when it won't open easily... Why spend 5 Hundy on an over priced meal and French Vino when a quick arvo stubble growth does the trick?

Good observation Jess... The old rule even allowed for wannabe tally ho's members of the public to jump the fence and just get on... Cammo changed it around 8 years ago and it was Re-written 5 years ago... Nothing could be clearer...the horse took off...screwed mid air...landed awkwardly and... FELL on landing There appears to be a whole lot of romantics out there prepared to ignore THE RULES...ok A rules a rules a rule...where the 'romantic' Stipes dreamed up the jockey "had contact" rubbish from...wtf knows?? Its an INTERNATIONAL rule ffs... ...he immediately should have pulled up after FALLING... ...like it or not You can't have "however after falling and the jockey falls out of the saddle and slides nicely alongside...but held the reins...and goes onto win to become a World wide hero" ..."then that's ok" thats b/s... But the CD Stipes like making or ignoring the RULES... After last years Trentham debacle, where the starter allowed an attendant to stand in front of the entire field...and the subsequent mee lee of Riders getting jettisoned... ..and not ask one question of the Starter...after he broke the RULES ffs, NZ looks like a country back water when this type of thing happens FELL...look up the definition in the Equestrian Handbook one day...
-
Yes Jess that was a few years ago now though.. ...you may remember during the reign of Cammo George, there was bedlam one day when Jocks were re-mounting all over the place... ...he changed the rule after that...and coincidentally the rest of the jumping World already had the current rule in place... Obviously in the good olde days of anything goes and tally ho... There were injured horses being re- mounted...and of course injured concussed Jocks.. Now every man and his dog knows that horse FELL... The Stipes took the flat rule of contact close to the winning post in this case... ...and ignored the Jumping Rule of "falls must be Veterinary checked...and Jocks passed by Docs" It spoils a great story...but you simply can't have rules for one instance and glory...and not the other

Sensational athleticism from Kuru...previously a potential NZ Softball player I've heard ?? Dont want to put a dampener on things sensational.. but ...if we're following the rules...and rules rule ok?? This horse should have been scratched.... Lets face it..the horse FELL...all fours were sideways as they were skidding along the ground...Kuru came totally off and slid alongside... ...besides...the horse FELL...did I say the horse FELL?? The Stipes investigated....and then came up with a totally new rule about the ajo (c) if a horse and/or Rider falls or gets away from its Rider after a race has started [Amended 1 June 2013]: (i) that horse shall take no further part in the race unless: (A) the Rider has been examined by a Racecourse Medical Officer, and (B) the horse has been examined by a Veterinary Surgeon; and (ii) provided that both the Rider and the horse are passed fit to race, that horse may be remounted and the Rider shall ride to either [Amended 1 June 2013]: (A) behind the place where the fall occurred or where the horse got away from its Rider, or, (B) if the horse missed a jump prior to such fall or where the horse got away from its Rider, a place from which the horse can approach and negotiate that jump

Wtf were you watching Bazza?? As weasel says they were coming from all over the place...NOT USUAL HEART in a sensational performance from 2nd last on the turn as well... The track played differently to the usual procession though Maybe they've fixed the bias by watering the rail or something?? If we'd had the entire width pen. Readings we'd have been able to see if the 6M mark, where many were winning, was the place to be... ...before the first race ffs
-
Top effort with Kyrie Bazza... Youd have no doubt included her when you saw the Blinkers On note... The stable tried to pull one over the usually blind Stipes by applying Visors...but were promptly told to wack on the full Blinkers...which they asked for... Would she have won by more with the Visors on or not at all? Probably more...because the trainer would have got her there in the best possible position to win according to you and your mate... But he clean forgot to inform the Bureau...and got a wet slap on the hand...ouch

Of course it makes a difference...on a neddy I've rated to invest on Ive trusted the trainer that a TT is value added...even an extra 0.1L makes a difference...you don't trust them..that's as clear as day I add less for TT's than BO.. that's how I've rated them over years of experience....each to their own This has been done to death...you have no understanding of the subject You think it's ok for Australian Punters to have this transparency but not us...idiot You obviously believe in Insider Trading on the share market.. ...and that's criminal...criminal
-
Ok, so you're the type who looks a gift horse in the mouth... Northern Dancer was on the go fast..you knew it...and sat there like a stunned mullet...fool Youve repeatedly said you "trust the trainer to get the horse to race in the best possible shape" But you don't trust them enough that a top rating value horse will concentrate any more than before and get a length or two extra...after the trainer has tried gear changes in training... Australian Punters receive this type information ..operations, change of tactics... Its surely about TRANSPARENCY...i.e. insider trading knowledge... ..and Punters can do with that whatever they like... you're an algorithm punter....Stick to that format guy ...but don't tell others they don't want to know an investment has had wind problems... ...or they're going to ride it upside down to make it settle for it's next race... Thats why the NZ Thoroughbred punter is becoming today's sports punter...where every stat is available...

Great info yesterday...I requested Sweenz interview the Trackman and a Jockey.. The Trackman said he'd rolled the inner 6M after the debacle at the previous meeting...This had the effect of the inside drying out through the day where the last 2 races the rail wasn't a bad place to be Lisa used her stick in the morning and said the Rail was decidedly deeper... Great...this is the type of info Punters need at 7.30...not just before the first ffs Failing that...just get the trackmen to give us the entire home straight readings...how simple is it?? They say they want more Punters investing...yet hide vital information... #nofinidea

No it's part of a general argument through your inability to accept a 'given' i.e. drugs that make neddys go faster... ..before they run...not after Like Northern Dancer's vet who gave him Lasix before the race v others racing without... ...and your inability to take advantage of the known go fast after the Vet's whispered in your ear... ...you've being given insider trading knowledge yet you want to "wait until after the race to really confirm it"...idiot Its like being given the Lotto numbers...and you saying "you prefer to wait until it's actually proven" ..all the while telling us you "trust the trainer" wtf wouldn't you trust ND's vet? If a neddy I'm investing on has met my guidelines and is ahead of the field in ability...imo I add 20-30% to the investment with Blinkers ...I trust the trainer...you dont Absolutely nothing to do with investing on every first time Blinker wearer Btw wtf would I increase investments on a horse carrying more weight... ..it's got there through superior performances more than likely...that's all

Talk about Queenalicious exciting... Its that time off the year when the toffs get their top hats and tails on and their lovers wear hardly anything... ...and the hoi pollois practically nothing...especially after a tipple or elevenses..where they end up in the bushes sans panties but it's all about the racing... ...and meeting the Queen...just like Aidan will do countless times no doubt! Trackside come to the party at this momentous occasion and pretty much shows most of it... Lets hope that whinney voiced chuck hasn't got a job anymore with At The Races Lets get a winner or two from the horses mouth then... http://ascot.attheraces.com/stable-tours/aidan-o'brien

For September... The only problem is... The idea of Wilcox...to have 'jumpouts'...to test the track out yea na...Puke tried the very same thing when their track was re-layed... ...come race day it wasn't bedded down enough...ffs Nothing but a mid week Industry day, under race conditions, is the least they should be trying the crash test dummy phase... A Cox Plate Day race meeting cancellation doesn't bare thinking about...

The Racing and breeding industry are intrinsically linked... ...without breeding you have no Racing Industry..how ignorant are you? The Racing Industry...including breeding...is bigger than the Fishing Industry It keeps satellite City's alive and is the hub of societal attachment...which being an 'accountant' your're unable to quantify You had your chance when the NZRB supposedly invited you to change its direction.. You whimped out... Just sit back and enjoy the Messiah's work...you were but a tickle on the undersole of the NZRB... ...and they're still giggling
