  1. Any updates yet please Freda? We need to get to the bottom of this so it doesn't happen again... You can maybe forgive this on the Coast where everyone has overnight hangovers from a moonshine fix...like reversing the barrier possies..under the eye of Stipes ...but on the Premier Sth Island course? Na You know if the Sth Is. Stipes are at the start like they are in the North?
  2. Pulling horse's is not "stuff all" Get a grip... Australia's idea of letting trainers back to create mayhem such as torturing horses with jiggers while on a treadmill kind of ties in with their criminal DNA... We need to stop channeling that b/s Criminals like Walker should have life bans...end of
  3. Enough of your b/s already... I was asked by the Ferret about the wind drying the Track out.. I said I don't use it in my analysis as I don't know enough about it...YET Plenty of Pros do...including Formpro and Australia's Premier pro Move on noods
  4. Well she probably got the croop from consuming far too much of 'da white' Wal... But I'm told she's doing the 'agistment' thing in Cambridge... One things for sure...once a 'serious racing offence' like hers was committed the Racing Industry needs to insert LIFE TIME BAN The thought that crooks David Cramp Walker and Dazza Jigger Weir may get another chance to participate in the Racing Industry is simply intolerable...
  5. Well Wal I've got a high pitched voice like a girl...but not that hi... The last time I heard a scream that concerted and continuous was when I took the Princess on a treasure hunt through the dunes of Muriwai's black sands... 2 City slickers from Auckland had absconded lockdown and were doing what you do so well to the Queens Engrish... The Princess started screaming uncontrollably as well...just like a bunch of Jockeys in a relly tight finish... And that's what's missing Wal...have you ever heard that?
  6. Imagine hearing a screaming Jockey....possibly channeling a Banshee Indian.... ...but it's called ATMOSPHERE Trackside....wake the f up Even the old time commentators used to hang a microphone outside their Comms box in Ye olde days....gets a bit of f in ATMOSPHERE going for the listeners juices to flow... This is a Brit woman riding her first winner this week
  7. I'm sorry mate but you've totally lost me...you're sounding like the Chief in drag...from Harness Analysing A winner is just that....from that you then assess if that horse is value... O'Sullivan may decide a vicious home straight head wind won't suit back runners for example...his speed map may indicate his runner in the trail..ready to hook out from cover.. ..Meanwhile a back runner hooking out has more time into the strong wind This is basic stuff... Email Neil Davis and ask him about wind... formpro@formpro.co.nz
  8. Great vid on Brit Jock Hollie....rode 5 winners in a day last week... Could she be the woman to take on the Ye olde Brit Institutionalised sexism? Looks like she could

  9. "Useless information" pfffft Tell that to Oz form doyenne Dan O'Sullivan...he's all about 'value'...what pro isn't? "The science, in his case, will include doing the ratings – with an emphasis on times and sectionals – for 50 meetings per week. While he concedes it’s not exact, it’s more exact than most with temperature, wind speed and rainfall (on the day) and track bias all factored in." For mine I never look at Barrier positions as possible horse's having to race without cover... ...but certainly do when analysing post race and compensating for time lost...
  10. Just witness a race Trackside broadcast from Busan.... Gate noise, hooves pounding, Jockeys shouting, whips cracking... ...all easily slipped into the pathetic NZ product... ...now DEFUNCT... ...lifeless soulless passionless NZ Thoroughbred Racing
  11. Well 9/10 a Thoroughbred is going faster than the wind... Not at 4 corners of the course it isn't, which after consulting with form analysts, Flemington instituted...
  12. Mooner! Old Reg...what an outstanding show that was! Yep even though the black sands are a wee way away...I managed to get to Muriwai most days while maintaining the bubble me and the Princess were eternally in...btw don't park on any local footpaths there...the yocals go even more feral? Drinks you say...if I consumed a kilo of onions right now they'd be pickled within a blink.. How did your lockdown go...debauched?
  13. I guess it's all relative.... if the field is down the back straight with a direct tail wind...the one without cover is still without cover...facing some type of breeze If we knew the wind was a direct headwind then the compensation I allow would obviously be greater... At this stage until we get this type of accurate tabulated info it'd be interesting to view that and analyse it...until then...
  14. Speaking of interconnected shad All the organs of the body were having a meeting, trying to decide who was the one in charge. "I should be in charge," said the brain, "Because I run all the body's systems, so without me nothing would happen." "I should be in charge," said the blood, "Because I circulate oxygen all over so without me you'd waste away." "I should be in charge," said the stomach," Because I process food and give all of you energy." "I should be in charge," said the legs, " ;because I carry the body wherever it needs to go." "I should be in charge," said the eyes, "Because I allow the body to see where it goes." "I should be in charge," said the rectum, "Because Im responsible for waste removal." All the other body parts laughed at the rectum and insulted him, so in a huff, he shut down tight. Within a few days, the brain had a terrible headache, the stomach was bloated, the legs got wobbly, the eyes got watery, and the blood Was toxic. They all decided that the rectum should be the boss. The Moral of the story? Even though the others do all the work... The ass hole is usually in charge.
  15. Being a sole trader on NZ Racing I haven't analysed it enough.... ..Suffice to say it only reinforces the strategy I use when I compensate time for horses which are caught without cover for example... ..maybe if I knew the wind power for a race...that Aus Punters now have...I could compensate even more...or leaders facing a strong head wind I believe Formpro uses the information more when they know the wind and they're thinking about a leader investment etc.
  16. Onya ATA...good to be back and racing... Lockdown 4 was great though...living semi rural close to the big smoke it was like the Movie The Quiet Earth...even the Air turned more countrified with zero emissions... ...the birds sang sweet melodies and I could smell Farmer Bruce's BO from 3 10 acre blocks away...reminded me of the High School changing room after a game of medicine ball bullrush... Had to laugh though...caught up with a bit of satire on that other site that 15 peeps read.... Turns out Bogan and his buddy punter Farti...were losing so much...they decided PLACE punting is where it's at!! F me...and they call themselves "pros"...let's correct that for them 'Pros'...the gall of the bloke though...he called me out inserting a place into a 6 leg multi that returned over 10k... Nothing wrong at all with that when a 1.50 shot gives you half again! This was just straight place betting....pfffffftttt AMATUERS!!
  17. You're a scholarh...and a lady Maybe he got put on Gardening leave and his head was in the flowers when you went past?
  18. Ferret...wasn't aware of a wind shift in the arvo...although the Puncecess did complain about it a few times to be fear....6L faster than the first race..sounds about right for a wind turnaround Theres no doubt wind is now even more of an accepted factor when analysing form though...and NZ being an Island Nation has some wicked howlers Places like Racing Victoria now realise this, and of course being Punter savvy, they've got live wind updates...Flemington at 4 areas...here some Clubs can't even be bothered putting up a flag.. https://www.flemington.com.au/racing/track-and-weather-conditions
  19. You're right Ferret, there's something about the Oz style of humour that's more mature and dare I say it 'intelligent'... They can take the piss out of themselves and don't take it personally...as we appear to do here...
  20. Possibly in the porcelain...but more likely the lead bag off yesterday... Absolutely bolted in...then lost the race with a DQ for weighing in light..1kg How many times has that happened here over the years....and the punter gets screwed EVERY time... The last one here at Waverley last year...when Lisa Allpress got the new Clerk of the scales discombobulated enough to f up his idea of what constitutes correct weight... Finished 2 nd...then got DQ'd...with Punters decapitated... How the f can the Racing Industry survive when they can't organise unfair shit such as that?
  21. Oh cmon Mardi...what could you possibly disagree with me on?
  22. Well ROUNDUP is systemic and they've finally realised how f'd that is and realigned their thinking on the f in poison... Didn't the Roundup selling man drink the stuff...or was that Dioxin's DD2? Anyway...you there Freda? Whats the talk around the Barrier boys there...who was responsible for the gates being positioned @15 Lengths short... ..and don't the Stipes have a man at the gates as they do in the North?
  23. I'd say he knows he's powerless.... ..all he can do is promote his own outfit while realising the Sports crowd is getting the public behind them...who generally hate Racing... Post lockdown the sporting crowds were phenomenal while racing kept its minimalist approach alive and well... Aided and abetted by colourless media types...have you seen GET ON for example... Then watched old videos of Tan, Rodley et el. who got personality transplants from the Zombie museum...and a sense of humour from Play School?
  24. Muriwai Downs Farm sold for over $12.5m to wealthy New Zealand resident Anuja Nadkarni14:24, Jan 16 2020 The 100-year-old Muriwai Downs Farm on Auckland's west coast has been sold to a wealthy New Zealand residents. According to Auckland Council records, the Muriwai Rd property, near Muriwai Beach had a capital value (CV) of $12.5 million. Bayleys capital markets director Layne Harwood said the property sold for well above its CV in an unconditional offer before Christmas. Harwood would not disclose details about the buyer but said it was a "high net worth" New Zealand resident, who bought it as part of a long term investment plan. Companies Office records show The Bears Home Company, which was incorporated in October 2019, has its registered address as the Muriwai Downs Farm. The director of The Bears Home Company is Guang Huang but is owned by Jialing Yin and Zhaoxi Lu. Yin owns a $3m house in Auckland's Dairy Flat. Meanwhile Lu owned two multi-million dollar properties in Dairy Flat. Harwood said the Muriwai Downs Farm could not be redeveloped because it was rural and would continue to operate as a farm. The working farm with dairy cows, sheep and beef cattle as well as sandstone quarrying operations was sold as a going concern with rural stock, he said. The 500-hectare farm has been owned and farmed since 1919 by five generations of the Houghton family. The farm has two waterfalls, conservation wetlands and the 4ha Lake Okaihau and is divided into five lots ranging from 47ha to 143ha. SUPPLIED The 500 hectare Muriwai Downs Farm has a lake and two waterfalls. Harwood said the Houghtons decided to sell the farm because the value of the land outweighed the return from operating the farm. A resource consent was granted in 2017 to subdivide 12 lifestyle blocks over lot 1 and lot 5, to the western point of the farm. Conditions of the consent include registration of covenanted bush, ecological and wetland protection areas.
  25. Yes but in times of troubled waters... Riding alongside a white elephant, like the Hill, when holding your hand out like an Oliver only highlights how two faced the Industry is.... Dont tell me the anon buyer of this perfect potential Race Course/training centre is the ex plastic lunch box King? https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/118793754/muriwai-downs-farm-sold-to-wealthy-new-zealand-resident
