  1. Can this thread please be continued until Auckland is back in Level 1.
  2. Have I missed something here ? Have Mark and/or Natalie been disqualified recently ?
  3. Yup, Brodster even mentioned his crush.
  4. Zachary would be next best if Vincent is unavailable. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DUUYfTGB7yXo&ved=2ahUKEwjUhu6uhv3yAhV1yzgGHb4FBIsQo7QBegQIBhAB&usg=AOvVaw20PapEjLRWfD9ItSZt4fOc
  5. It's an absolutely genius idea if you must have gimmicks to attract new customers. I felt forced to come up with something to appease the OP. If Karrots manages to entices Vincent and his Hot to Trot roadshow to Alex Park I am certain I will boycott the meeting.
  6. Iraklis, Kyms Girl, Inky Lord, Bonnie's Chance and Bee Bee Cee all won the Hannon on the way to winning that year's NZ Trotting Cup.
  7. I am not really into gimmicks but if you are forcing me to come up with one I would say a vegetable growing competition for the largest carrot. With a free return trip for one to Ohakune as the winning prize.
  8. Well to be perfectly honest we were only thinking of ourselves at the time.
  9. We swapped Russell Rabbitoh for her.
  10. Dam hard to keep a good man down. Welcome back Elmer !!!!!!
  11. We must get the children addicted to gambling as early as possible. Need to have a proper kids tote with confectionery as the currency. Use the actual tote prices to pay out. No restrictions either. Bet what they have. 2 Crunchies and 11 Anniseed Balls each way.
  12. 4 NZ starts for 2 wins. All at Karrots Park. Lovely Kiwi chick from out Rolleston way.
  13. Ah okies, I had momentarily borrowed the Brodsters self interest cap and was thinking only of what would get me back. But they are fabulous ideas. I probably can't help you much but I can tell you my initial experiences as a suburban boy from a non racing family with a TAB amongst the local shops. My first racecourse/betting experiences were summer holiday trips from Tahunanui Beach Camp to the Richmond Equalisator Trots first thing in the new year. I remember once going to an equalization dog meeting somewhere in Marshlands. There was a thrill in watching the horse I had drawn race. It was a good family day out with other known families. Plenty of grass to run around on and candy floss for fuel. To be continued..........
  14. I wasn't mocking. 4 of my 5 excellent "on the money suggestions" are the very reasons I would head to Addington Raceway. Happy to discuss.
  15. So out of 10 how would you rate the drivers you have mentioned. (Previous high) Main strengths/weaknesses. And are they trending up or down. I reckon 9.5 B Orange (9.5) He is wide awake in regard to what is going on around him. Gives me confidence to bet. 7.0 R May (9.0) Not quite where he has been previously. Great if he got back to his peak. 8.5 M Jones (9.5) Most races he would be the best driver not out there.
  16. Free Entry and Racebook Stevies Pies Totalisator Betting Incentive/Rebate Area set aside for wives, girl friends and non gambling children. In the case of Alex Park I am thinking say Cornwall Park. TAB and at least 2 other bookmakers betting to lose a minimum of 2k. No entertainment other than the races themselves and maybe wood chopping but I am not sure about the latter. I reserve the right to add to this as more brainwaves arrive.
  17. Aids in maintaining their over inflated sense of importance ?
  18. Same could be said for The Brodsters friend Kelvin John Vincent.
  19. The Warsaw Dance Troupe are somewhat hamstrung by the ongoing Covid Pandemic.
  20. Hopefully The Canterbury Park Lounge is still open.
