  1. A sensible and much needed move.
  2. Why such a huge difference between the samples ? needs a proper explanation.
  3. I was going to cheat at the scales
  4. Only an idiot would suggest weight would stop a train-it surely depends on whether it is going uphill or downhill The original saying was weight will stop a train but not a 2yo Years ago the MC had a minimum of 6 stone--58kgs
  5. It is at least60 years since I had horses training at Avondale but if I recall correctly a lot of the land was an infill dump.It may not be thhe Golden Kiwi ticket some hope for
  6. Are bleeding rules the same in Australia and N Z ?
  7. They used to be --back in the days when the clubs made the allocations
  8. She did train here for a while
  9. Thanks for the correction [old timers disease] Sometimes I remember things from history like my last winner or that Dean Martins real name was Crocceti
  10. The champion trainer told me it was performance Of course a lot of our bleederd go there so I suppose you could say they are treated
  11. Not that long ago the majority of USA horses raced on bute -said to be worth a length or two in performance

    DRONGOS

Who remembers? The tight little turning track that was Pukekohe --and the special trains they ran from Auckland for the racegoers.

  16. Quted for a practice that had been widespread in the industry for decades Sales of Vicks solid
  17. It is a simple problem- the result of plain lazyness -they obviously never checked before the aborted start- Because when tried a couple of times they did not open Re connected the plug and bingo ,it worked Conclusion-these things have worked for many years and there is no need to run round like headless chickens just because someone does not check and connect a plug
  18. Stupid knee jerk decision If my pony does not make the field on Saturday then its off to OZ
  19. I did not say the horse was sold for 3 million --I read on an internet site that it was sold for 1.4 million and the owners told it was 800.000 The one clear day could be better expressed -I would suggest ;not on raceday before racing nor on the preceding day. I am surprised that a trainer and a horse vet do not know the rules yet a stablehand does You get the impression that they started the horse believing they could not be caught out Good work by the investigators
  20. Obviously you have been brainwashed -even split three ways $600,000 is more than commission.
  21. You are surely aware of the biggest scandal to hit racing in decades and the valiant efforts of an elderly shareholder to expose the three people involved.
  22. Somehow my mind goes back to a horse called Kinda Cross and I think of a dear old Lady ........
  23. Guess there will be a hefty fine over excess whip use..
  24. All this reminds me of a competition the Bloodhorse ran a while back -name the top 5 lots at Karaka in correct order. impossible ? One bloke got it right -handsome fella
  25. When you have 20 or 30 maiden races each week and 4 or 5 R65 the result is inevitable. There are at a low key Tauranga meeting 33 noms for a R65 and they run 14
