  6. I suggest you measure the amount of ground W made up from the 150m to the 75m and apply the same rate to the final 75m and the answer would be different -she was certainly interfered with.

  13. It was quite common for a 2yo to contest the WFA Challenge stakes At a time when the minimum weight for the Melbourne cup was 6 stone -38kg Noel was in great demand as he could ride at 40kg I laugh when I recall Noel at a party being chatted up by a lady 3 times his size Wood Court Inn was trained by SYD bROWN a great trainer who had horses like Redcraze, Daryls Joy, and Classic Mission. The latter subject to the fly blown countrys underarm allegation that the 3yo was actually a 4yo

  16. Thats a bit rough =how about a big thank you for the tremendous amount of sponsership monies provided over many years? I see you are just a kid but surely you can see that many like this weels headliners have a rather chequered past. Racing attracts the good and the bad.. There are troughs of highs and lows everywhere.
  17. Trust you to go off on a tangent --I was clearly referring to the number of starts and not comparing the two horses. Still, this bloke cannot be that bad if he has thoise problems yet still licked them all.
  18. Give a bit of credit to the winner -it takes a good horse to win a derby off just 3 starts. Think Xcellent The first two were far better than the rest of the field and both had average trips.
  19. With all your years of watching Chief you will remember when Ellerslie offered a substantial prize for the leader with a round to go. Do you think they should do this again?
  20. I dinna think so -most are real keen to make the field and there is nothing wrong with second The small field is probably just the result of the way the breeding world has turned to sprinters
  21. Col loves a protest -I first met him when he sought my permission to paint [Fair Tax[ on my horses backside. He also is not scared to have a bet
  22. Reminds me of J J Glen --for younger readers Jimmy was rumoured to have been an apprentice in Scotland then for some years he was a merchant seaman before getting a riders licence in NZ One Te Rapa day he rode the last three winners and coming in on the last he gave a Nazi salute. The outraged stipes searched for some rule to charge him but could only come up with some minor rule and fined him the maximum -five pounds Five pounds shouted Jimmy, fuck all out of the roll I get for that lot....Gotcha!, foul language , fined one hundred pounds Jimmy suggested that if the stipes were at the starting gates they would collect thousands
