Sounds like they never really addressed the rehoming side of things there. From casual observation I would say the sport still faces the same image problems. They are not going to go away overnight. The pollies are not interested but it's the pollies and voters of the future that might upset the apple cart. Agree we had a number of opportunities here but just dug in rather than face up to the more uncomfortable aspects of what happens when you have fewer trainers with greater amount of dogs in training.

If the SPCA has spoken to people who witnessed live baiting, and didn't speak up at the time, and now won't go on the official record to put the key players behind bars then they too should be charged for their own involvement and lack of action. Hopefully the SPCA lining up these spineless no-hopers for criminal charges of their own is what's taking so long..

These sick pricks all need some time inside. I hope there's a plan for the dogs when these people face the music. What the hells taking the SPCA so long? This is such an injustice to the everyday battlers in this sport. It's completely beyond a joke. If this does hit the courts I think every LP should approach their local media and let them know how much the association and the RIU have let us down by enabling these crooks to rake in so much in undeserved stakes while obviously under suspicion of cheating. Unbelievable.

A healthy slice of blame lies with Greg Kerr. He was supposed to set things right but he's done nothing at all. Making good dough year in year out probably hoping for a nice redundancy when the govt closes us all down for good. Talk about a waste of space.

The inquiry which was recently opened into alleged abuse towards an Official has been concluded with a Trainer spoken to advisedly and reminded of her obligations as a Licence Holder with no further action by the Stewards required. Must be great to be with the "in" crowd Consistently inconsistent...

I've got one that wouldn't get close to passing a GAP test. Every day she is happy, living the dream. You can boil up all the tired old excuses you want but the public and their opinion will have the last say.
