  1. Jeez Brodie its a bit rich you calling someone a sheep, all you ever do is bleat, Basil hit the nail on the head.
  2. Harness trainers, drivers association. A very good write up about Peter Lamb and the start cockups at Rangiora, the owners, trainers and other personnel, went through all the correct channels to to try and get something sorted, even though other stipes ageed with them , nothing was the out come. Told it was a club issue to organise the starter, but we all know most of the clubs put this in too hard basket. Also only one clerk of the course on site, another recipe for disaster, as it proved. I feel for the connections of the horse, I know the horse, he will get over but another couple of months getting him right again, vet fees etc, all caused by bloody incompetence. Will any of the other clubs go out of their comfort zone and get rid of Lamb.
  3. Good on you Brodie for the cograts the the Spitfire team, you then pop out from under a rock, with an insipid statement compering Hoffman and Faulks, who are both pretty reasonable trainers and people, jeez you can be a total Richard Cranium sometimes.
  4. Dean is a decent man and a gentleman, he is a worker a very good trainer, and an honest man straight up down, does not suffer fools gladly. He has not got a large team in work, like the group one days, but he will come again. It wasn't that long ago that i read a similar post on here about Benny Hill, another Group one trainer and also a Straight man , great eye for detail , slowly building a nice team around him
  5. Yeah we all new it would not take long for someone, rather than congratulate connections, infer that there is cheating going on a bit sad really.
  6. Changes are coming in the RIU and the JCA, with that and clubs getting off their arses it could happen in the new year. One can only hope.
  7. I cannot believe he is still starting races, it is the individual clubs that need to brought into line, it is a complete pain in arse and the pocket, to travel to the races only to not receive a decent start, Maybe Lamb has something against standing starts and wants mobiles only.
  8. HRNZ must live on a different planet from the rest of us, what a load of bullshit to publish that they didn't know about it just proves, how incompetent the really are.
  9. Trackside 1 all day Brodie, head off to Specsavers they have special on for old people, stay away from the $2 shop their specs are no good. The Badger is always on the money.
  10. Should change your name to Crooked John.
  11. I read the Stewards report for Addington friday night, I presume the report is correct before being released . Race 3 winner not swabbed, this was a premier race for the night. I believe that all winners should be swabbed to uphold the integrity of the industry, also the same horse lost a leg bandage 50 meters from the post, normally this would result in a fine or a least a warning but that never happened. I have spoken to a few trainers who are concerned that R I U are not consistent their policing of the rules.
  12. Well said Chief, I believe you will be shown to be correct. The board had to come up with this or face legal issues.
  13. Yep you are correct a load of bullshit really, but Spicer thinks he is wonderful, mind you he will keep the seat warm for the other 3.5 days
  14. It is just another tap on the shoulder deal, if he was not much cop for the Greyhounds, it hard to imagine him doing HRNZ any favors but Spicer is over the moon, should suit his style ok.
  15. Howdy all, well I have turned the team out 3 race horses and a couple of young ones.I think people are naive if they believe racing will start again in 4 weeks I TRULY HOPE that I am wrong because it is major part of my life and has been for few years now. The sad thing about this virus is that with the other issues that is happening in the racing industry, 3 of the small group of owners and we have been together for 12 years now have decided to pull the pin on racing horses including a Thoroughbred and a greyhound, the rest us will continue on with the pacers and trotters when the time is right. I wish all of all the best and we all get through this virus in good health and remain strong.
