Brodie has done the usual change the narrative to what is or what is not successful investing when this is about a successful yearling sale. He is the only one on this thread who thinks it was not good. As Mick G said last night , anyone who thought other wise is a Curmudgeon. Im leaning to the conclusion Rangatira that brodie fulfills all the necessarily qualifications based on his posts on this subject. Not even his loyal followers are liking his posts, unusual in itself. I wonder if he was even at the sale Greg
-
My thoughts exactly Greg
-
Why, this from you earlier " Flash, I am pleased that you think the sales went great, doesn’t affect me one iota! " Another Brodie contradiction, no point me telling you anything as you wont believe anything that's going to show you up as i have already proven. Everyone i spoke to and listened to thought it was a great sale and the Median numbers don't lie. You need to watch the box seat and especially Micks comments about anyone who thought the sale was anything but a success, might he be referring to you? Greg
-
Stop telling the same lie repetitively to suit your non existent case which changes the more you are proven wrong. For example, you keep quoting Bettors price as 30K which is factually wrong. For yearlings sold in the latest sale the stud fee was 15K plus GST or as most breeders took up 12K plus GST for 2 or more mares. The sale was a fabulous success for breeders/vendors as long as they had the product buyers were looking for. Pass rate is indicative of that as well as over estimation of products value by breeder. I was at the sale participating and that included talking to breeders as well as trainers etc so i think i have some feel for what was going on , were you???

You ask the question about vendors and sales prices. You might be interested in this TH "Local vendor Woodlands Stud are the leading vendor by aggregate having sold 30 lots for a total of $1,401,500, including four of the top 10 yearlings sold today. “It was good to see the Australians here, NZB did a great job in getting buyers on the complex,” commented Woodlands Stud’s principal Andrew Grierson. “There was a lot of buzz leading into today and it’s the way it went for us, we had a good Sale overall and are happy with the results.” Greg

Its actually you that's blinded about this and other issues but you appear to think you are always right even when a credible case is put up which differs from your base case. You keep going on about Vendors losing money , well i hate to tell you this but it happens in all industries where stock are involved. Your argument almost seems to be that the game should be a cost plus one based on service fees which is absolute nonsense. Did it not occur to you that with a median up 46% that vendors have done sensationally better than the final PGG Wrightson one. Try being positive for once Greg
-
Agreed Do you think he has any positive thoughts about Harness ?
-
I see the major Auckland vendors spoken to were happy as was the turnout from Australian buyers. I think NZBS have done a great job thus far. 46% increase in Median price bodes well. Always going to be the odd negative Nelly around Ranga

Your off course again Brodie with your negative posts. At the close of trading, 100 Lots were sold for an aggregate of $4,675,000 with 30 less horses catalogued than in 2018. The clearance rate was a healthy 73% with the average and median both reaching an all-time high of $46,750 (up 38% on 2018) and $34,000 (up 46% on 2018) respectively. “I’m very pleased for our first foray into the Standardbred Sales,” commented NZB Managing Director Andrew Seabrook. “At the end of the first day of selling, feedback from buyers has been positive and it shows in the results. “The atmosphere has been very encouraging and the clearance will climb over the coming days.”

I see its stablemate which appeared to go poorly again was found to have sustained a puncture around the 2400 mark according to Stewards report
-
Shit your funny, did you take long to think of that reply. Greg

Most solutions in life are usually simple Greg

Haha. I can label 3 already who show no such adulation. And no Joe K your not one of them. Back to studying for tonight's events. Shame the ones I really like are drawn 7-9 over 1980.Not many win from out there. ??

They have a block function. If you struggle with my posts don't read them. None of what I wrote was directed at you in the first instance so you've missed the target right from the off. Greg
-
Never said you were. Perhaps everyone should stop obsessing about Purdon's present domination, be like Globe , If your that worried about it go to the sales next week and show some real fight by doing something about it. Greg
-
Because that is his first name if what i was told is correct. Case closed now Sherlock OK
-
Very good post but your likely to upset a few. Greg
-
Thanks , at least someone on here is not paranoid about my arrival Greg
-
Yep and i replied but a detective you will never be if that,s your best effort. No idea about the relevance of FTM in this thread but have noted you,HTP and FU seem utterly obsessed about him/her. In short, as ive said before i wont be bullied or shut down by anyone except the owner of the site. Im here to make posts on topics of interest , what are you here for Greg
-
Once gain you are wide of the mark but whats new. I have never had any contact with AS stable nor have i raced one from their barn. I have used other trainers though Greg
-
If your asking me who i am my first name is Greg. I think everyone in Canterbury Harness knows who most posters on here and another site are including yourself. Im sure you have received or sent PM's at one time or another about who such and such is. For mine this site is riddled with anti AS posters, look at the post above yours. I'm merely interested in the racing, horse and punting side of things. What about you??? Greg
-
Lets hope those good mares have fully recovered and both race up to their ratings Friday night. Great supporting fields as well and for the Anti AS mob they can enjoy 150K going elsewhere in 3yr old fillies race? Greg
-
I have used all of the major Christchurch and surrounds Vets over the years with different trainers. They are all good as long as you use the experienced partners IMHO. Also i find them much cheaper than Waikato ones. Remember one young vet looked over a potentially high priced yearling at sales one day for his client. He saw me an hour or so later just before it was due to go up on another matter but mentioned about the well bred yearling he had vetted earlier. I said " shame about the club foot" Never seen a guys face drop so quick and run as fast as he did. Always have a laugh when i see him
-
I see where your coming from but not sure that's what hunter was inferring although one never knows with some of his posts. As for the vet improvement influence there's a chap out Rangiora way with a vet in close proximity whose strike rate is not flash in any respect Some vets are obviously better than others but in Canterbury a lot use the same one so who gets any advantage out of that.

Whatever you say troll Greg
