Desperation? False statement? How many members are permanently on the moderation list?

Can't work. What amount from your investment would be placed in the tote pool? You initial investment or the theoretical liability?
-
Most trainers I know don't tell their jockeys anything until the mounting yard. Then it is only if the jockey is unfamiliar with the horse and it's preferred style of racing. A trainer wouldn't tell an agent didily squat. For a start most of them wouldn't have a clue.

How will stakes double in a year? The cash handout that was promised by Winnie was to go towards infrastructure NOT stakes. Politically that must be in doubt now as the Government is getting gun shy. Funding a brand new race track in Cambridge is a long way from investing $47m in tourism on the West Coast!!! So what huge game changing intervention is going to double stakes in a year? Racefields legislation? Nope - even the NZRB optimistically says it will add a $1m a month! That will be gobbled up by depreciation charges on their $50m FOB platform stuff up. Is the Government going to give another GST or any other form of tax break that will some how improve stakes? Not only can it NOT be done it isn't politically viable to do it! Dear old David. What's he made his money out of? Spending large sums of other peoples money at the sales, syndicating horses, charging management and training fees on which he has made a profit. Clipping the ticket all along the way. Good luck to him the model works for him hence the 1600ha farm. He takes risks but again his exposure is limited to the time between when he purchases a horse and syndicates it. Even then he has his ducks lined up before hand on the big purchases. Of course you have NZB helping along the way as well! Does anyone find it ironic that the worst metropolitan race track in the country is in the Waikato?

Poor old David doesn't realise that he is part of the problem!

Molloy is supposedly a vet he isn't a biochemist nor an organic chemist. If expert evidence is required where is the head vet? Can any REAL expert tell me how you can contaminate a horse vicariously through the surrounding environment? Wouldn't it involve someone smoking the shyte while hugging the horse or someone passing in the horses feed bucket?
-
It cracks me up how Dr Molloy always name drops. The Rennel association is probably through the brother-in-law Dunn. Since Dr Molloy has been offering veterinary advice and lay legal advice the Dunn's seem to have had more trouble than not. As for the NZRB welcoming him - well they are desperate for any form of friendship especially a Messara knocker! Needless to say those who associated with him over Cup week probably found the little chap amusing - his sense of sartorial elegance is akin to Coco the Clown and Boy George, he can spin a yarn like any other Irish descendant and sounds knowledgeable about racing. However he does seem to have memory problems - wasn't Felaar predicted to win this year's NZ Cup? Seems we now may have to wait 2 years for the "angles" to smooth out.

So was it malfunctioning or not for the last few days? Normally an irrigation system has ONE tap well away from any sprinkler. Was it left on?
-
Well doesn't that say it all - "....a sprinkler on the tract...malfunctioned" and "had not been working well for the last few days"? Did someone turn it on remotely?

What is Thomass's kg's to lengths formula? “The battle between Best Solution and Homesman in the closing stages of the Caulfield Cup produced an epic renewal of one of the world’s great handicap races and the closest finish to the race for more than a decade with the official margin just a half-head,” Carpenter said. “Over the last 40 years, 63 horses have contested the Melbourne Cup carrying 57 kilograms or more, with only Makybe Diva (58 kilograms) able to win. “Given the depth of quality in this year’s race and the fact that every additional half-kilogram of weight represents approximately one length over 3200 metres, I have elected not to increase Best Solution’s allocated weight of 57.5 kilograms. “He was all-out in the finish on Saturday holding off Homesman and he now faces an enormous challenge in the Melbourne Cup, going to a track and distance he has not encountered before in one of the strongest renewals of the Melbourne Cup in its 158-year history.”

I see where they are saying they are going to be the NZ Racing news site. I thought The Informant was the only independent racing news site?
-
A picture of Scooby doing track work.

I wonder how they found that out if they don't read the posts on this site? Pot kettle anyone?

One things for sure the isn't a marketer! The big trip to Fiji competition thanks to that social media marketer extraordinaire mate of his started out with 100 entries down to 80 now and cartoon character himself is running second! Let me see $4,500 in prizes for 80 contestants (most were already members) is a cost per head of about $56.25. Add in all the rest of the costs ......yep it's a winner!
-
Well if the rumours are true it is looking increasingly likely that BOAY will be the only truly independent racing forum left in NZ.
-
If you are talking about the news items copied from the NZ Racing Desk they are available free on The Informant and the NZ Racing site (now rebranded "Loveracing" ?). What's more they are easier to read on those two sites!

Those small battling clubs would be doing a damn sight better without the likes of Te Rapa and Riccarton draining resources.
-
Yeah I bet some journo is writing the blog!

What a joke! Maybe she is being paid in bandages!

Have you ever been to the Levin jumpouts Tank? Has the "punting guru"? I've been numerous times and I'd suggest you are wasting your time if you think you are going to get any useful punting info from them being videoed.
-
A Levin jumpout is nowhere near the standard of a jumpout in Metrop Victoria. Good luck basing your punting on videos from Levin!! Are you going to have the RIU there making sure they are "trying"?
-
Thomas have you put your name down for one of those 200 Kiwibuild homes being built in Wanaka? Lots of homeless there I know but you moving might help your South Auckland mates who can't afford the relocation costs.

Were the stable hands in the back of the float referred to Police?

I'd be very afraid of what Peters and his puppet masters are going to try and push through Parliament. Especially if I was a club like Reefton, Harness, Dogs or other sports that get funding from the TAB. As a Wellingtonian Dark Beau you should start to plan your move to the Waikato. The Racefields legislation in my opinion wasn't poorly written however the touted returns to the industry were based on poor analysis and were as such false. Does Thoriughbred Racing deserve more handouts - quite frankly NO. Do they deserve to be favoured over any other code or sport - NO. The new legislation that Peters is possibly eluding to will probably be.designed to favour the so called sport of Kings (subsidised by the minions). It will most likely have an unfair distribution of revenue and will attempt to land grab. It will be a perverse combination of socialism and nationalism at its worst. Muldoon will be well pleased with his suited Maori.

So you are inferring that the Police and RIU inconsistently apply the law?
