its an ongoing saga but to summarise...'Let’s get it straight. These people have admitted keeping 8 million dollars that didn’t belong to them, arguing that because Govt scrutiny at the time was insufficient they cannot be held to blame. It’s like a burglar saying it’s ok to pinch your television because you didn’t have security doors. Now, these people are trying to avoid paying back anything by suing for 4 billion dollars lost income, which is supposed to be the return on the investment of the money received dishonestly. I suppose if the burglar sold your telly then bought a lotto ticket with the proceeds and didn’t win first prize, the burglar would have every right to sue you… because you know who started it all in the first place?And guess what? Doesn’t matter because it’s just taxpayer money anyway. Mugs!

Watching the races tonight..late meeting at Melb..I do wonder if these trackside presenters have any useful purpose. They are a bit like a consultant..lend them your watch and they'll tell you the time. Most people can read and have ears so I think these guys should be dispensed with. Big savings too if the salaries I've heard they're paid are true.

Waller does not need to beg any jockeys to ride for him. He is a big supporter of NZ jockeys all the same.
