  1. Gidday Mr Galah, was just watching replays Oamaru Saturday while I join this Trot Chat for Interdominion from Qld. Watching Race 4 replay Oamaru , well have a look and it speaks for itself. hahahaha The commentator thought it must of been a false start even. An attendant actually grabbed one of the runners stopping it from moving off as well. NZ punters taken for a ride. [Well Not taken literally, actually on the 3 runners that never started] ABSOLUTE joke. You couldn't possibly back/bet standing starts as a Punter if you are serious about winning something lol. Hobby punters wouldn't even enjoy that.
  2. Gee flagship, The outside rail was packed with people all the way up the straight, when I won there 83' Interdominion. (GAMMALITE that is). Watching on Fri at the 2200m starting point was a heap of weeds growing up through the fencing, a carpark at the 100m mark and 3 people as you got towards the post. Was nice weather wasn't it ??? What a sad state of affairs.
  3. "RACING THIS TIME...." as Reg Clapp would say back in my teen days with his deep voice that I still here in my sleep. Literally and Probably because dad had radio blaring in the next room as I was in bed getting to sleep as a kid. [40 years at The Park for the late Reg Clapp ] Well that was disappointing with NO GAMMALITE wannabes amongst the Aussies. Aus firing blanks in that round. Well done kiwi's with some fast times. 'Bit of a Yarn' Interdominion Points challenge as I have it after round 1. (subject to slight changes but very close with my quick maths) TROTSFAN 45 points very consistant with 3 seconds and a fourth through round 1. now leads clearly. RANGATIRI 41 points , NOWORNEVER 40 points, GAMMALITE 39 points, WOLF 36 points, HUNTERTHEPUNTER 28 points, HAPPY SUNRISE 27 points, FLAGSHIP 27 points. Good luck for round 2 to improve your positions !!!?.

  4. Hahah??. O No matter how you get your money it's no good here lol. Maybe 'The Galah' should have a go as sounds a bit Aussie, and I need all the Help I can get.
  5. Ahhh the beauty of it. No money needed and you can improve your tipping status from Poor to Champion in just 2 weeks. ?
  6. Nice selection with solid 3rd at $3.40 place. would be great if you have a go at the Interdominion QUADDIE challenge I posted, as with your moniker, sure must know your stuff and big chance of victory!.
  7. Hey Chief, I've Backed you into favouritism in the Quaddie Challenge I posted. Have a crack or I'll lose a stack.
  8. Only saving Grace is they (Andy and Kate Gath) did win the last Interdominion Trot 2018 with another Ex-pat in Tornado Valley. So at least they had some success along the way.
  9. Hey If any of you regulars want to have a challenge while I'm here annoying you for Interdominion. Flagship, Ranga, Happy, ?? say 6 or so good sport blokes. Challenge 1. Who can pick the quaddie each night [ you get the points that your selection scores in the Heats] And points from First to last in the finals as well. I will tally after each round and post for everyone. and we end up with a 'Bit of a Yarn' Interdominion CHAMPION !! I'll go in with Habibi Inta, Ultimate Sniper, Winterfell and Bling It On for round 1.
  10. Marburg is straight in land from Brisbane about 70km's, go past Ipswich.
  11. Yes they A/S do a good job. Tiger Tara tried to outstay them NZ cup last year and came up 1/2 head short to The Fixer amongst a "pack' of Allstars. John Dunn nearly popped them this year's Cup but not quite,. Arden Rooney did surprise them 2015 Cup, but Mark's horse gave it 50m start with bad getaway so bit unlucky. Tiger Tara got revenge in Interdominion last time with a thunderous display. wonder why he's not there now ?? and Luke McCarthy has old kiwi mate Cash N Flow flying lately , 3 x 1.50 miles past 2 months so very surprised he is not there to help out 'Bling It On' a little. Tim Williams won races at Auckland with it as well.?
  12. No they are long gone, even Gold Coast parklands closed 2010 to build the commonwealth games village for last year. Beautiful track that was too. so nothing at the gold coast now , such a shame. Yes we have Marburg for the battlers.
  13. 340 wins training last season. One for everyday of the year nearly ! fantastic. We can race 5-6 days a week around Brissy though.
  14. I don't know Flagship. but All-stars have 1/4 of the series runners so should negate the vulnerability. Just watched 91' final at Auckland and Mark Hanover and Reba lord did a great job working togeather a lap out and helped Christopher Vance into 2nd as well by good team work. The only aussie in that one got tipped out. lol The aussies won't be helping each other.
  15. How I wish you are Right.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been on Grants back since winter to go across, since Gammalite, I'm ThemightyQuinn and Our Sir Vancelot all taking victory at Auckland. Chester [Colt thirty one] has drawn the car-park night one , and did jump out of his gear recently at Melton out of the gate. Both these things are worrying me greatly
  16. Chances are all 6 of Marks make the final and with help from his Big brother who might sneak one in ,looks like Doomsday for Aus.
  17. The whip issue is huge at the moment. In galloping circles Michael Walker and Glen Boss have gone for broke lately. Huge fines and ignoring any whip rule altogeather in some big races lately anyway. You are talking HUGE prize-money differences with Prince of Arran a close 2nd in the Melbourne Cup and as Brodie said with Jonny Cox , Michael wouldn't of got 2nd without riding the way he did. Is that fair to connections of the close finishing 3rd horse? beaten by someone deliberately breaking the rules to gain extra placings??. Maybe HRNZ are waiting to see what happens next in the galloping world. whip bans seem a matter of time.
  18. Well with the second row being Allstars and the NZ cup placegetter as well ,I think they will be right in it at the business end Happy. Mark and Nat second to none, and no way would I back anything against them , in any race, anywhere. BTW... was just watching utube Village Kid in 87' Miracle Mile at Harold Park and you flashed up from last to grab second. !! Happy Sunrise. You could of been a superstar at one stage?? ?
  19. And amazingly the following year in the NZ Derby , Master Mood was rank outsider and down the track again as well??? very strong race you put up there of the sires Stakes. The last horse in that race, was the Derby winner !! That was Placid Victor. My mate Frederick a battling 5th in Derby.
  20. Beat a good one there I can see in Master Mood as well , who won a Miracle Mile at Harold Park 1986. ! That was a great miracle mile for NZ bred runners with Master Mood, Lightning Blue, Village Kid and Trident (who chief Rangatira mentioned) all finishing in a pack 1st to 4th. Village Kid won the following year.
  21. Wondais Mate !! He won a couple of heats at Auckland 83' Interdominion as well. got tipped out in the final won by me or (Gammalite) Some time later in the 80's I towed a very fast former kiwi named Its Frederick up to Brissy from Melbourne as he was flying and thought he would bolt in on the fast Albion Park races. No such luck unfortunately, with 4th being our lot as Wondai's Mate, the little champion from the bush (peanut farm), ran 1.55 and change. That was unheard of those days as FreeforAllers running 1.57. or 1.58 was the normal go. He was an amazing little horse.
  22. The Injury !! Yes, I was there that night in winter 2017 at Albion Park. The only time in his career he had a catch driver.(John and Luke McCarthy were at Menangle in some semi-finals) from memory. And the catch driver was a Kiwi , shock horror! hahaha Mark Jones hit a wheel in a 7 horse field and he hit the deck big time. (the horse more than Mark) just when he was going to go 5 wide and round them up and win by lengths. Very nasty. I thought at the time Mark wasn't used to such a big striding pacer. He is a magnificent animal.
  23. This Heat will be a beauty. The All-Stars have to deal with all being on the second row. You have to feel for JOHN DUNN. All year long whenever you guys have a feature race he is the one who has to figure out how to 'mix-it ' with the All-stars Team tactics as is usually the main threat. His Efforts in the NZ cup and NZ FFA were admirable. In this Interdom Heat he is sitting amongst them on the second row again , once more trying to work a plan out 'amongst the Stars' He must see Stars in his night-mares.? BTW lets bring it on with BLING IT ON. !!!! 24. The kiwi drivers have a lot of 'distance' race driving so are used to giving up the lead. lots of room on the big grass tracks etc. and using good judgement. A lot of speed racing here in Aus. especially Brisbane and Menangle where they head to the Top and want to hold it. Before that there were plenty of 'Open Air' drivers, not wanting to follow a helmet at all , even if parked or 3-wide even. GAMMALITE a great example. Parked more often than not. Pure Steel always 3 -wide.(but that poor bugger had to endure handicaps all the time) Vinny Knight , Jimmy O'sullivan always out and attacking on many horses. Death or glory !! Lightning Blue shoved out 4 wide a lapout in 87' Interdominion at Addington and 100 whip-strikes later,........Glory !!
  25. Hahahha total Karma for Warnie haha
